Hi,
few days ago my phone just turned off and now I cannot run it. Every time when I try I see LG logo screen and "Optymalization apps" screen (like during system upgrade) and LG logo again after it. Finnally nothing happens. I thing it can be connected with wi-fi problems - wi-fi caused problems during turning on several times.
I would like to do hard reset, but I have photos that I can't lose. Is there any way to restore data? I've found many applications that allows it, but only when you've got USB debug mode turn on, but of course I cannot turn it on.
Thanks for any help!
Any idea?
Maybe there is any way to root that phone without "USB debug" mode?

Following an update to Lotus Traveler (email program I have to use for work), my phone will no longer boot.
Turning it on, it gets to the "Quietly Brilliant" Splash screen and then just sits there forever on the screen. I tried booting with it connected to the computer but it makes no usb connection to the computer.
Trying to go into bootloader mode (Volume down + Reset) does work, however the phone never makes a USB connection.
Anything suggestions on other things to try?
Thanks!
I was able to make a USB connection and Task 29 and reinstall a new rom onto the phone.
Not sure if it was chance but I seriously tried connecting it via USB in bootloader mode 30 times without luck, then tried it once with the memory card in and it actually worked. Go figure.
Update: The 100th or so time I tried to boot into recovery, miraculously it worked!!! I have no idea why. I reflashed and did a soft wipe, and now all is good. The phone's internal memory only had about 225 MB of storage space left, so maybe that caused the problem, or maybe not. Thanks to everyone who tried to think of possible fixes.
Hi, I did a really stupid thing last night. I backed up with TB and uninstalled my gallery app to try another one that I didn't like. (I have QuickPic installed, as well as third-party camera apps.) So I uninstalled that one and then tried to restore the original gallery app again with TB. For some reason the install hung. What I should have done was force-close TB and install the APK again directly, but instead I rebooted the phone. Or tried to. As it turned out, I hard-bricked it.
The battery icon displays. When I try to turn on the power, the Samsung logo displays and then the phone turns off again. I can't boot into recovery or download mode at all. When I connect to my PC via USB, I get a boot-looping pop-up on the PC taskbar: "Found New Hardware/SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device." The device screen stays black. ADB won't start. I reinstalled the Samsung drivers just in case, but no love. The Windows device manager doesn't show any problem with the drivers. Odin does recognize the device up to a point: a yellow box lights up and there's an "added" message, but nothing more. At this point, all I can think of to do is get hold of a jig as soon as I can and pray that I can get into download mode and connect to Odin. I am (or was...) rooted and running CM 10.2 stable.
How likely is it that the jig will work? And does anyone have any other suggestions? I'd really appreciate them. I don't have a landline, and it's a bummer not to be able to make calls so close to Christmas.
Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it!
SHORT INTRO: My GF's phone, I am from PH [not living in Manila] so no reliable technicians, but my Gf brought it to one, the technician flashed it but I think it was fake or something becase it says Android 4.0, but exactly looks like Android 2.3, AND the phone keeps searching for network even if sim card is inserted. so I checked it myself.
I am frustrated and spent hours trying to fix this phone. AND I DONT GET IT!! WHY??
1.) I thought usb port is broken, but it was fine, i left the phone with charger connected for how many minutes, then it went on showing the battery charging animation.
2.) so i tried to boot, I SPENT HOW MANY MINUTES and TIMES PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON and it won't boot, I SMASHED THE POWER BUTTON [not hard tho], DISASSEMBLED AND CHECKED THE BUTTON, THEN TRIED AGAIN, THE SAME THING, but then IT WENT ON AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THEN I TURNED IT OFF[to prepare for installation of stock rom], THEN IT WONT BOOT, SOMETIMES WILL BOOT AFTER HOW MANY SECONDS OR MINUTES BUT WTF IS THIS. <<sorry :crying:
3.) i tried RECOVERY[stock] AND DOWNLOAD, it went into recovery mode ONCE, i tried wiping it all, "reboot system now" AND IT DIDN'T BOOT, IT WENT OFF, SO I AM BACK AGAIN TO NUMBER 2 PROBLEM. THEN IT WENT INTO DOWNLOAD MODE, but ODIN won't detect, I downloaded samsung usb drivers, the cable is from samsung, accessed the device manager[windows 10] and no device.
WHAT I TRIED/SEARCHED[NO LUCK THUGH]:
1.) turning it on without the use of power button [usb cable to computer, pressing volume up & down]
2.) turning it on with charger then removing battery quickly and reinserting it.
3.) i think everything, i've been searching all over the internet and here, no solution.
PLEASE! I need help. We've been planning to buy Galaxy S5 but we don't want this phone go into waste. This phone is over a year old. Is it because of the ROM? I really tried to boot into recovery but I don't understand problem number 2. PLEASE HELP! I'M DESPERATE :crying:
Phone turns off during use and will not complete boot unless plugged to charger even when the battery is almost full.
This error started last night after I did factory reset because of observed phone lag. I did mistakenly "wiped internal storage" but got the alert of "no OS during reboot", so I restored from my backup from SD.
the phone started properly but went off during initial setup and will go back off each time I tried turning it back on. I thought it was battery so I plugged it to power.
it did boot but will go back off once I have few touches on the screen.
I had to leave it plugged to setup my accounts else it will go off.
I'm using its Wi-Fi to send this message via my PC because any 2 - 3 touches will switch the phone off.
once it does that, it won’t even boot to bootloader before it goes off again unless plugged to power.
what I do to solve this please??
Problem has been solved.
It was actually the battery. I got a replacement and the device is okay now.
Thanks.
Hello,
I have serious problems with my Mi A2 Lite.
Until yesterday evening, it worked fine. Then I started FB Messenger (as I do often), the screen froze and the phone did a restart.
Since this moment, the phone behaves like that:
- After booting, if I just remain on start screen, the phone crashes after around 10 secs. The screen goes black and after some seconds it asks me to enter the PIN (it says sth. like "after a restart PIN is necessary").
- If I turn on WiFi or mobile internet connection, the crash occurs immediately when the phone receives any signal from the network.
- If I connect the phone to the computer via USB, the phone crashes immediately. It does not recover until I unplug the USB cable.
- If I start it with the USB cable plugged in, it doesn't finish booting, it stucks at the loading screen until I remove the cable.
- The same if I insert a microSD card into the slot. It does not boot as long as there is a microSD card in the phone.
This means: Currently, I have absolutely no chance to save any of my remaining photos or chatlogs, as every possible method to transfer data (WiFi, mobile internet, microSD card) leads to a immediate crash or makes the phone to be stuck in booting. Also bluetooth doesn't work.
... any tips?
I assume your bootloader is locked ?
I have not changed anything, so I think so too
Have you tried getting into Fastboot mode ?? Power it down first. More details/specifics - are you on stock Pie or Oreo rom ?
For future reference, whenever possible - I set default photos/data storage to mSD card and backup those to cloud, and periodically run a manual backup onto a PC.
It's stock Pie with all updates.
I have been in Fastboot mode, I managed to unlock the bootloader without erasing the data (there is a trick to be found on the web). I also managed to flash the current ROM with MiFlash, luckily my files and Apps where not damaged by it ("save user data"-Mode), but the problem is still the same.
I noticed that it crashes in exactly the second when the clock(alarm)-icon appears on the top right, so I managed to disable the Clock App. Now I have some seconds more, but it still crashes...
+ If I go in safe mode, it's the same situation.
Get the twrp 3.3.1-dees_Troy image and boot it from fastboot.
Hopefully it will come up and you'll be able to use mtp or adb to pull things off the phone.
