How to enable VoLTE on your T-Mobile LG G3

T-Mobile has updated the G3 recently but unfortunately they didn't bring yet the official capabilities of enabling VoLTE so after playing around I figured it out and I would be more than happy to share it with you!
#1 Go to the dialer
#2 Dial 3845#*851#
This will take you to the hidden menu
#3 scroll down to the LTE Only option and click on it
#4 click on Modem settings and click on it
#5 click on the 1 before the last option called VoLTE Radio NV on/off click on it
#6 hit the first option that says VoLTE Radio NV On
#7 restart your phone and enjoy VoLTE before the official time!
P.s. A T-Mobile Store rep has confirmed to me that VoLTE will indeed come to the G3 in a future update very soon!

This has already been posted everywhere and does not work. I live in Dallas, one of the first cities to get VoLTE and I even tried again after the recent update for the hell of it and no bueno.

Ya it doesn't work. Tried it several times. It's still locked up.

Make a phone call and watch your data indicator. If it drops from 4G LTE to 4G, then VoLTE is disabled. If it stays on 4G LTE, VoLTE is working.
And yeah, this method does nothing. On my Note 3, there's a setting in the dialer options to use or not use VoLTE, our dialer doesn't have that yet.

4g/Lte no connection after flashing RR

Hello,
since I updated my OnePlus 3 to the newest Resurrection Remix I have problems with LTE/4g. If i activate Mobile Data, i only get EDGE with a low bandwidth. I called my Mobile Provider and they said, that in my area LTE is working perfect. I eject the SIM Card and placed it into another smartphone and after two sec. i get LTE/4g with a high bandwith. A factory reset, returning to Stock Rom, deleting the APNs didnt work either. Is there any soultion fo this issue?
Maybe I crashed my modem ? Is it possible to flash everything back to Stock ?

type *#*#4636#*#* in your phone dialer, phone info, scroll down and set prefered network type to LTE only. you will be unable to call while in this mode so do not have it turned on. just test it if your 4g works

well then your phone is broken or your service provider is messing up. but you already called them and they said that it was all ok on their side. so that means there is certainly something wrong with your phone

data on 2nd sim on any custom ROM

I am facing data switching issue from my 1st sim(Jio) to 2nd sim (airtel) on any custom rom. previously i was in MIUI 8.7.26 and then after wiping system data and dalvik i flashed RR and AoSp. But in both the rom I'm facing this issue. Data on jio working fine but when switching it remains on jio. If I toggle airplane mode then for a second LTE data sign comes into the airtel then vanishes. No data on jio or airtel. Again if change data to jio data works and on changing to airtel it remains on jio.
Apn settings are ok for both the Sims. Data roaming and enhances 4g on for both the Sims.
I know it is not at all rom related issue. But I'm puzzled why this is happening? Can any one guide me?

i am still looking into this. it happened on RR and LOS. I'll let you know if i find something.

Do try other custom roms also. Like aex and pixel experience also. I telegram somes are saying AEX and moner don't have this problem.
I saw your video. After toggling airplane mode your 2nd sim data (jio) works. But for me 2nd sim Airtel data comes for a second and vanishes.
There is a problem in the source of the LOS and AOSP may be.
I'm going to try one by one and let you know. You also try other Roms and let us know.

SURE. i am not so sure about this problem being in LOS itself. I say this because i was using non-official LOS since april and data switching was seamless. idk but this started only after i flashed official build. i'll try other roms, but as of now, this happens on RR & LOS. my data comes for a second and vanishes as well; i have to put it on airplane mode multiple times for it to work.

I think it's same in miui too. If data is connected in sim 2 and you received or do call from sim 1 sim 2 data is disable for that moment. That's not a problem. It's like that.

I was having a similar issue on RR and AEX. On AEX I turned off Enhanced 4G LTE mode and then selected correct APN. The internet works on the second sim now. Hope this helps you.

Hey! I solved this issue. I Changed the apn name (jio internet to JioNet) and turned off enhanced lte. Data is switching seamlessly now.
Let me know of it works for you. Find the correct apn settings for your ISP.

well, looks like i jumped the gun here. disabling enhanced volte makes data switching instant, but i cant make/answer calls now. OP, if you find something, you let me know.

How to turn off volte
It has only option to disable enhance LTE. Currently I'm outside. Will try new Rom this weekend.

Yes turn on your 2nd sim data after turn off enhance 4G LTE Mode because custom rom support Dual 4G VoLTE on same time, Not supported 1st 4G VoLTE and 2nd 4G Only try it

None of this happened in nonofficial Los that i had. Clearly, this is a bug in stable version.

I know this is a bug but this bug present in all custom roms

My Airtel and Jio both are volte enabled sim. In miui both works fine with dual volte.
Custom ROM has bug in it. My previous phone was le max2. I faced the more or like same issue in custom ROM of it also too. If u switch data from 2nd sim to 1st sim data would not turn on. To get it working either you have to disable completely volte. Or u need to restart your phone. Tooling airplane mode will not do the work.
But for note 5 pro this trick is also not working for me. I feel that the source of most custom ROMs of note 5 pro has this type of bug that's why it's present in most or every ROM out there.
Untill and unless they correct it from source it's difficult to get the desire result.

I had a similar problem, I had 2 Sims(for calls and data) the data sim only activates once, I had to switch to airplane mode and then turn it back on. The issue existed when it was the only sim on the phone too. I tried the sim on a different phone, and it worked perfectly.
So the fix was in the APN, the APN protocol should be 'IPv4' as the default was IPv4/IPv6 (same goes to APN roaming protocol), once I adjusted them, data works fine now.

Strange I never faced anynissue regarding data switch in miui ROM. Even the data switch in dual volte works fine for me.
Anyways thanks for the suggestion in the changes in APN protocol.

Hey thanks buddy ? but i can't use volte anymore ?

Cricket WiFi calling, on One Plus 5T

Has anyone figured out how to get WiFi calling working on Cricket wireless on the One Plus 5T. I have it enable, but doesn't seem to be working. I'm sure there has been a work around for this ?? Sometimes cell service in the house is spotty and this would really help missing calls. Any suggestions or work around, please advise.

have you tried installing voenabler module through magisk. That is if your rooted of course Iff it still wont work then your provider may not support it yet.

I'm not rooted. They do support it, but on their own devices not BYOD, but I read there was a work around, so figured I's ask here.

I myself experienced the exact same situation a few years ago the provider I was with had the same policy and after many arguments with there call centre I decided to switch provider to where they didn't restrict the phones functions. Usually in such a situation you need there own bloated firmware to recieve volte/wifi calling. There isn't much of a way out of this in my opinion unless you change provider but I could be wrong. I think they do this so customers buy phones from them exclusively and it's a sly marketing thing. Sorry I couldn't help. It is possible however that by rooting and then installing the module I suggested you could get round this but there's no guarantee. That's if your prepared to root.

Yes I had already done this and enable it, but it still didn't work, I have it enabled but does not show up on the status bar. I'll keep researching, thanks though.

Good luck. Last resort might be changing provider. That's what I had to do.

Thanks. It's not a big deal, missing calls doesn't happen often, would simply of been nice to be able to have the WiFi calling when able. No Biggie.

Activate wifi calling in OnePlus 5T
Wifi have in a valid internet plan because wifi calling is use data for calling.
All steps to Activate wifi calling in oneplus are:-
Connect your OnePlus phone to any WiFi network.
Go to your one plus phone dialer and dial *#800# it automatically opens a new Log-test window and clicks on enter.
Find onplus Logkit and click it. It opens a new page.
Find Function Switch and click on it then new page open.
Find VoWifi switch checkbox and check it.
Then it shows an alert box to make the device reboot and reboot your oneplus device.
After rebooting device Go to settings > Wi-Fi & networks > SIM network Then find wifi calling toggle make enable it and enjoy wifi calling to make & receive calls.

Sunder, I've done the below before a while back, and it still doesn't work, I have Cricket wireless, so maybe that is why. I have enabled all, but in the status bar the icon for WiFi calling is not showing when WiFi calling is turned on, so I assume it's not connected.

Which network service provider you are currently using means which sim is used in your phone.

Yes, I am very aware of that, and it doesn't work, I've tried it many times, Voltle or WiFi calling icon never comes on in status bar when enabled.

Bro, I think wifi calling is not working in your region Because of the network service provider not staring wifi calling(VoWiFi) technology in your region.
And it may be oneplus 5T is not support your network wifi calling.
In my India, this technique is working and i am using it perfectly with jio and airtel.

That was my point a few post above, where I mentioned it does not work with Cricket wireless, and Cricket does offer VoWiFi, but it woks only with the phones you buy from them. So I was letting people know it doesn't work with Cricket.

We really need to get through to Asus that we need an update to enable VoLTE on TMobile USA soon or our phones are useless.
Some people might have a critical need to make a call and they'll find they can't!

Yes even WiFi calling features is missing.

Used 2 Sim Cards (SIM 1 & SIM 2)
Settings , then Network & Internet , then SIM Card at the bottom " Use mobile data for VoLTE Calls via..." turn it on . My calls have been working fine .

Tried this. Not getting VoLTE calls on TMobile USA. It still goes down to 3G to make the call. Not January yet so yes calls are currently working on 3G. But this seems as if it will end comes January. I hope ASUS can bring us an update soon so VoLTE will work on TMobile USA.
