Can anyone port the latest Android n preview to the OnePlus 3?
It would also be cool if you also implement dash charging

It was reported to the moderators to move the thread to the Q&A section, which I have now moved it to.
It's been two hours and still no N preview for OP3
I thought we had great developers.
So disappointed.
Seriously, instead of waiting @ShadowRii you still have the time to learn how to port a rom, the difficulty and complexity, the knowledge and time required, the sleepless nights...simply to get something that maybe boots but still unusable as a 'daily driver'. Maybe you will realise it's not worth it. Just be patient, the final version of N is coming soon, the source code will be released and a few weeks/months after that you'll be able to enjoy android N on your OP3.

Oh nice, did that just happen today? I was looking at it the other day and was bummed to see no custom ROM could make use of the dash charger.

Yes, a guy posted the link here, on the forum, can't seem to find it myself. But it's there. this makes me more tempted to buy the OP3.

2 revesions of android is all they offer and 3rd one is just courtesy. Mix 2 arrived with Nougat, we got oreo and now Pie is in terms. I hardly believe that Xiaomi is going to supply us with Q.

Of course someone will drag Lineage over. It's a question of honor - and to show that our devs here can
Official MIUI? No way. The Mi Mix 4 will be out before there is a Q MIUI. All we can dare to dream of on that front is some frankenbuild.

I think asked what I asked wrong. I meant more in the manner of.. does anyone think in the future months this device will receive the same attention as the 7 pro. The only reason I got the T over pro was I use snap chat alot and didn't know how well the moving camera would hold up.

I honestly think we would have a good amount of rom development because of the price of the phone and the specs you get for the price is pretty much unmatched. In some cases our phone is better than the 7 Pro.
I honestly wanted the Pixel 4 XL but once I saw the specs and the price I was like no way. Just have patience and I'm sure you'll be rewarded.

haha! The phone barely came out. Just wait. Official ROMs will come and then the developers will move to it and we'll have an abundance of custom roms you can pick from all day long.
This is a great phone so we don't have to worry about this
Just hang in there and good stuff will happen on XDA...

IDK what's the last Samsung phone you've had but development is non-existent for Samsung thanks to Knox.

Android 10 has changed a lot with devices launched with it, so development such as TWRP will probably take some time.
However, kernels can be unified with the 7 Pro series, ElementalX has added test support for 7T series.

Kernel's will be unified even though the devices technically run different chips?

if you want to have an idea just check out the 5T and 6T XDA forums, see how much development are still going on.
My 5T currently is running a custom Android 10 ROM which is perfectly stable, its amazing

Elemental X is coming for OP8 series.

Its as simple as that.
I got the download option for the kernel in EXKM. I did have one question though. Does it support battery idle mode? Curious if it's worth updating to it, or just holding out for a different kernel that does, and that is one of the biggest things I wouldn't wanna switch for. Currently the stock does support it, it seems.
Weeeeee, can't hardly wait, pressing F5 every min...lol

If OnePlus included it in the source, then it is supported.

Cool, thank you! And yea, I have an 8 pro, but got notification. If you say it doesn't work on 8 pro yet, I'll wait. Had this on HTC 10 back in the day, and was lovely, up until phone decided it had a long, fulfilling life, and was time.

Doesn't boot on the 8 Pro even with the clean untouched source, so I'm assuming OnePlus left something out.
