Witch is the best CM based rom?

Not to be snarky, but the one that works the best for you. Best is very subjective. Why don't you start with the latest stable and see how that goes.

I have never used the CM based ROM called Witch. I honestly didn't know one existed. Therefore I can't comment if it's the best. But I've heard from reliable sources that DU is pretty good.

lololol... witch....
Anyways, Mokee rom use to be my goto rom (based on cm) but recently it has had problems with project fi. they may have fixed it as updates are daily.
Temasek's UNOFFICIAL builds are pretty stable, only had few minor bugs here and there over time. updates are almost daily.
Ive never had a problem with jgcaap's builds but they are lacking some features i use.
Dirty Unicorns is by far one of the most polished and stable roms here. wether your on project fi or a major carrier, never had network issues, and they pioneer so many useful features its ridiculous

You can always try out the official CM

DU is AOSP based. It is what I'm using.

What is you favorite/most stable AOSP 5.0.x ROM?

Hello everyone, if your like me you've probably run most if not all of the lollipop ROMs in the Dev section from some of the awesome contributors here, my question is what aosp rom are you dailying and which one seems to be the most stable? I've tried almost all of them except cmRemix and BrokenOS but I think Broken is next on my list. I've settled down on Liquid for now because i think it has the widest range of features while still maintaining great stability. Use the poll and post your comments!
I like all of them so far.... Hard to pick a favorite, been running cmRemiX for a few days, the great rom by @ZION959 but waiting on the vibrator fix to get merged for trltespr. Liquid is still probably my favorite, mostly due to building/update reasons.
They're all great. But I've stuck with slim ever since they first came out on d2spr. I've always liked my setup fully clean and heavily lightweighted.
Cm remix great battery life with trickster

I've flashed all of these but Liquid Smooth is by far my favorite. Still would love to see a Gummy ROM port...
Beanstalk ftw!!!

Liquid Smooth.... takes the checkered!
What up? like most everyone I've tried a few out but liquids move seems to me the best. Options up the wah-zoo and a strong supportive community behind it for any issues if any seems to be my one true daily driver. loved it so much put it on all my other devices too. Liquid smooth freak!

Good starter ROM

Hi,
I just bought a Nexus 7 2013 and I'm looking for a good starter ROM. I read a few articles on the pros/cons of ROMs but those articles are a bit outdated so the information is mostly about 4.4.4 ROMs and nothing Lollipop related.
I know the best way is to try them all and there is no perfect ROM for everyone, just perfect for each of us, but from what I can understand there seems to be 3 that really pop out
- CleanROM. Pure stock with a few tweaks
- BlissPop. Popular CM build with a lot of customization ROM
- DirtyUnicorns. Popular AOSP build also with a ton of tweaks.
I'm looking for something that doesn't sacrifice stability for added options and tweaks and a ROM that even if perhaps there are daily builds, that there is a less frequent "stable" build for those like me who don't want to flash daily and report bugs.
Am I missing a ROM worth looking at? I know there is Sinless which I liked on my HTC M8, there's SlimROM too, I mean there are lots to choose from which is great, I'm just looking for perhaps the ROM that would be the "One size fits most". I'm thinking Blisspop would be a good place to start but I'm curious to hear from others.
Forgot to add that I'd rather have Lollipop without XPosed over KitKat.
Thank you
My opinion is that after trying of all of them with all different kernel combination , my pick is DirtyUnicorns with it's own kernel, UnicornBlood. I run the Weeklies build.
Official (stable releases) are built every 1-2 months , Weeklies (also very stable) every 2 weeks and Test builds are well test builds every week or so when the dev tries new things and sees if they work great to be implemented into weeklies and stable.

Awesome, I'll give it a try for sure. I remember using AOSP on my Galaxy S3 and the weekly builds were very good. I think Joel made them. Weekly updates is pretty good, I like flashing but I like to be done flashing one update before a new one is released!
Well I tried BlissPop, Dirty Unicorns, CleanROM and I have to say I might just stick to stock/rooted for now. I don't need a ton of customization, in fact the only customization I miss is the XGEL settings for Xposed because I like the google launcher but with the icon themes I bought over the years.

Best stable ROM

I don't have time to test every single rom so I want to ask the people on here what they think is the most stable rom. I don't really care about features I just wanna know which one has the best battery life, less bugs etc.

Yes stock was ok but I am asking for the custom ROMs
I settled on SAOSP after many weeks of testing many different ROMs. Seems best to me, combined with EX kernel
ABC-Rom, no bugs, stock feeling:

based on my experience, DU, LOS, and AOSPA.

paranoidandroid ROM is awesome!
PureNexus or PixelROM
You could also look at Carbon Rom or Tesla (other GZR Roms are available ) or AospExtended or Slim
Then you have the Lineage based ones such as crDroid
I prefer the ones which are true to the Nexus look rather than Pixel Wannabes. But that's the beauty of the old Nexus phones that it very much whatever floats your boat.
@tactical bacon: that's, why 'best rom'-threads are unwanted here. Finally you get a complete list of all settled ROM.
Features and base are given in each OP. Battery-life depends on your usage.
PureNexus. Great team, solid ROM, nice features, quick updates, and very helpful thread.

RQ: The closest to Vanilla Android Custom ROM

Hi,
I just got the Nextbit Robin, and i am impressed. I got it rooted and unlocked, anyway, i want to have a phone with UI closest to the one of the Nexus series, could you please suggest to me a Stable cooked ROM. I do not care if its not the latest and greatest or about customization, i just want it to be reliable as my daily driver.
Thank you.
OmniROM is the most AOSP feeling ROM I've personally tried, but AFAIK there is some issues present for now. AOSPA is also AOSP feeling but a little less than Omni, but it's currently more stable than OMNI.

I was using Omnirom and it was superb. But the recent builds were buggy. Now I'm using CrDroid (Build : 18/Aug/2017). Quite snappier and great battery life.
AOKP is on beast mode. I love it.

Yea I'm gonna give that a try since pixel experience Vids are freezing all the time
Currently using ParanoidAndroid. Works fine on my end. Hope they can give us another update
Only MIUI 11 is stable currently without bugs
Ion os is perfect rn i didn't have any bugs yet
Battery back is good with inception kernel
Paranoid q3 is amazing and clean
Best for me
I'd go against the current and advice crDroid. I used Pixel Experience, Paranoid Android, and LineageOS so far. crDroid seems to be the best with customization and little features (like compass QS tile. I really liked it actually. A little touch, but a worthy one). With battery life, they're head to head with PA, yet I'd say cr seemed a bit ahead. Functionality-wise, they're all more or less the same. Lineage had a problem with using headphones with WhatsApp and such, don't know if it is solved or not.
I didn't try Syberia or any others that I didn't mention above, yet because of its features and because of all, I have seen the devs of crDroid more active than others, I stick to it now and for the time to come - and can recommend to you as well.
Paranoid Android. Waiting for the Offline charging tobe fixed
Masik X 15.0 for ginkgo is the best rom I have flashed so far.
