Is it possible to gain root access by 'Quadrooter' for locked G4 like H815t?
Any Qualcomm based phone with the correct processor that does not have the updates is vulnerable - this includes most of the high end phones out the there today, which includes all G4 models.

I read a few articles on the internet to know if our 2 years old G3 is getting latest Nougat update, some are saying that it wont get any updates sooner or later but some articles mention that G3 is more likely to be updated to android N. Can anyone please let me know for sure if we are getting the update or not?
Sadly, I don't think we're likely to get an OTA of N. Qualcomm no longer wishes to support the Snapdragon 801 and LG isn't going to write their own drivers for certain things. Based on what I've heard, unofficial support will be a good deal of work as well. So I would almost certainly expect no more official updates for the G3 besides maybe security patches.
Just making sure I'm getting this right.
North american models are snapdragon and locked. -> possible to unlock with some debug mode which locks your battery @ -20% -> has a very quiet unofficial lineage port
Global/international are exynos and unlocked. -> has official lineage support
so there's no way to get a snapdragon s9 and it get rooted/custom rom without a hit to battery life?
No American model Snapdragons can be unlocked at all, only a couple of Chinese models, not sure where you read 20% battery and some lineage port because the bootloaders are locked, thus nothing custom can be flashed
Exynos are unlocked

I think the OP read some old Galaxy S7 or S8 info as this is my first Samsung phone since prior to the Galaxy Line existed and in doing my research leading up to launch of the S9 I came across similar details. Suffice to say that info gave me a false sense of hope that in time the S9 would be cracked. Hence I am stuck with this piece of crap.
Hi,
I read different information regarding the Pie update of European models. I heard that that it is cancelled in US except of Verizon. But how does it look like with unlocked EU phones? Will we get the update or not? Does anybody know.
The promise to get Pie update was one of the reasons why I bought the phone. Now I feel tricked if we won't get it (and I assume it is the case).
I could get an unofficial update but then I'll loose Google Pay, my bank applications will not work anymore etc. Unlocking the bootloader is not an option for me.
But unlocking bootloader is the only one option for ATT users.

Still showing as coming to retail editions in the UK.

This device will be upgraded to the Android 9 (Pie) release of Android, pending partner support.
I've been searching around for some custom roms, I'm seeing a lot for specific variants but no mention of the Verizon one. I'm also admittedly having trouble with XDA's new system and maybe I'm just not searching correctly. Is anyone out there familiar with the VZ variant and if there are any options in aftermarket roms to bring thing up to date?
According to Samsung's website

If you have the 8 inch version, it's using an Exynos 7570. If you have the 9.6 inch version, it's using a Qualcomm MSM 8916.
If that's true for the 9.6 inch version, there's a possibility that my 17.1 ROM for the SM-T560NU will work with the Verizon, however
1. you won't get LTE. I don't have the LTE version and I will not build it because I can't test it.
2. your Verizon tablet may have a locked bootloader and it won't allow any custom rom flashing.
3. even though they use the same SoC/cpu, there's always a chance of a bricked device.
4. it's obviously untested.
5. if you don't know adb, heimdall, odin, fastboot, twrp, etc and how to recover back to your stock rom, I suggest you don't attempt it.
6. you need to backup all your data, partitions, etc so you can revert back to stock or whatever rom you are using.
You can do your own homework/research for all the above.
If you want to build your own custom Verizon rom, I have provided the roomservice file and all the necessary changes required to build the SM-T560NU in
[UNOFFICIAL][ROM] LineageOS 17.1 for Galaxy Tab E [SM-T560NU]
I am not responsible for lost data, identity theft, lost money, security vulnerabilities, bricked devices or any other hardware or software malfunctions that comes as a result of flashing this ROM. I spent hundreds of hours building this rom...

Then you have to add the LTE libraries, change the various config options to tell the rom to use LTE/RIL, change the assert statements to allow SM-T567 and possibly make kernel modifications.
Its the 8" version, so I guess this is a non-starter.
Maybe I can root and debloat the stock rom enough to make it worthwhile, but I was really hoping to throw some lineage goodness this way. :/
Also I'm pretty sure the Verizon Tab E 8.0 is bootloader locked, just like the AT&T Tab E 8.0 is, so custom recoveries and ROM's are no-gos on both of those devices.
As I have stated that I want to boot Android 12 on my LG V40 ThinQ (Specifications: SOC: SD845, RAM/ROM: 6/64 mentioning just in case) I want I know if it supports dynamic partitions (I couldn't find and info online about Dynamic partitions on LG V40)? Is doing this method safe (resulting in bricking and stuff)? Should I install a custom ROM instead?
Install Infos Treble on your device and it will provide all the information you're looking for. You should also take a look into your device-specific forum for more information regarding custom ROMs.
