Hi! I use a Huawei P9 smartphone, Chinese version EVA-AL10. Recently acquired a Huawei watch (US version). The android wear app from Huawei app store only recognises the watch for pairing initially, but disconnects immediately thereafter with a message saying...Please use an official wear in china device! Android wear app from Google play store doesn't recognize watch at all....Will a firmware change be required on my phone? Or is it possible to change the firmware on the watch to a Chinese one.

Thanks, I realised that it's the china specific firmware on my phone that's crippling the connectivity. If anyone can suggest a different firmware (International ROM)for my phone, I would be grateful. This phone HUAWEI P9 (EVA-AL10) is sold in Europe and USA, so I am sure there must be other compatible firmware

Hi, check info over in your phone's forum here http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9
Looks like a lot of rom, etc development...
Thanks...I am a newbie at this...need more help...anyone e with the same phone who has overcome this problem?
I would also suggest try getting hiapp.apk which is huawei china app store. There you can get china wear app version for your phone.
Maybe chineese wear app will not restrict connection to the watch
Sent from my HUAWEI CRR-L09 using Tapatalk
No, even that doesn't work...Android wear app from hiapp says ...use Android wear in china device
My problem was solved by resetting my phone to factory settings and after downloading playstore app through Hiapp, I deleted nearly every Huawei app, including hiapp and did not log in to Huawei id:good:

If you have questions let me know and I will try to help
I have an AT&T fire phone unlocked.
Just wanted to add to this because I've just got my Sony Smartwatch 3 working.
Had to install system software version 820 but otherwise everything is fine.
I've got a UK O2 device.

Thanks.
LG G Watch
Confirmed that the LG G Watch running 5.1.1 Android wear, works fine, just the stock Amazon email app, does not trigger the watch to vibrate when a new email is received, other apps, messages, calls, Facebook, notifications work great =) Finally I can use this phone =)
congrats!

I thought that update wasn't available yet for all of us using the UK handsets? Did you update using the US firmware? I put off doing that because I thought perhaps US versions weren't optimised for uk carrier networks.
Trying to get my moto 360 to work with this phone, migrated from a moto e 2nd gen. Boy did I underestimate how primitive fire os is. I mean, on paper: this phone is the best bang for your buck (on offer, anyways), but man 'dat os tho'. My moto 360 has literally served as a glorified regular watch with a ridiculously short battery life for the past month. I'm also on o2, and I'm not sure what you did to get that update but please let me know.
Which version of google service do you use?
I am using 4.6.1 (3820) and whenever I play Android wear then it shows
"Update the Goolge app on the Play Store. Then open Android Wear again"
even the android wear and connect are latest version. So I cannot connect to my
MOTO 360. Can you help?
Hi,
I had the same problem and here is how i fixed it!
1. Open playstore
2. Download the Google app...literally type in "google" and its the app with the white looking google symbol
3. Android wear works!
My fire phone is running 4.6.3 ver. 620 = this is the last three digits of my software version.
Google play store version 5.9.12
I also downloaded Motorola connect and selected the moto360 from menu and clicked open in android wear.
hope this helps im getting my watch tomorrow.
Thanks a lot.
After I upgrade to 4.6.3 and I forced to remove Amazon app store and then everything works smoothly.
Thanks.

Moto360 1st edition is $149.99.
From my reading on the new 2015 edition their is increased battery life and a slight change in button placement.
My moto360 will last the entire day with with a full charge to start that day. Ambient mode is on and I use paid watch faces with lots of colors.
I didn't feel the extra $150 for the second edition was justifiable to me. The 1st edition is still quite fashionable and useful.
My GT is running on 1.0.7.12B and the newer version 1.0.7.36 I have received OTA through the Huawei Health app.
I have updated my watch serveral times, the watch updates & restarts itself as if the newer version has installed but the system shows the older version only.
The huawei health app still asks me to upgrade to 1.0.7.36 whereas I have upgraded nearly 6-7 times already.
I have factory reset my watch several times. Re-installed the health app too but the issue still remains same.
Has anyone else also faced the same issue?
Use Android WearOs app. Huawei's app is literally bull****. Also use Google Fit App.
Huawei only has bad apps
Hi everyone, I am at my wits end so any help appreciated.
My wife has the GT2 42mm and it will not install watch faces. Occasionally after reseating the watch and the app it will do one, but then fail every watch face after.
I have tried various versions of the app, modded etc... All the same issue.
My own Honor magic 2 work perfect on the same app and will install watch faces just fine.
On the GT2 42mm I can change the watch faces that are already installed and also upload photos to it. But watch faces are failing.
I almost think there is a memory issue on the watch or some kind of communication issue.
I also thought it might be a region issue but I am based in the uk and that seems to be fine.
PLEASE HELP !
Hi friend smae problem here with my watch

Hello, I'm french so sorry for my bad english.
First you must use a phone not Huawei et not Honor.
I have a Redmi to transfer the watchfaces on my GT2-46 and on th GT2-42 of my wife, because I have a Huawei P30 Pro
Then uninstall HMS and Health, install Health Modded and try to transfer a watchface.
So I live in UE and I think only Curve supports HPay here. Even if not in my country with my bank it's the obly way now.
As far as I know HPay works here, but not on watches. However is there a way to spoof country/region/somhing and make HPay work for as long as I add the card? Than it'll be fine as even Huawei states that:
After adding a bank card to Huawei Pay, you may use it to make payments in other countries and regions if permitted by the bank card. Please consult your bank for more information.
And Curve is international.
I'm waiting for confirmation from anyone if you can pay with Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro and Curve Pay. I would like to buy that Watch but just if I can use to pay using it.

As far as I know GT models doesn't have Huawei Pay. Only nonGT allows for payments.
GT3 Pro has NFC module and in Huawei Health in watch setting there is Huawei Wallet but there is a notification that current wearable version doesn't support this service. We need to wait.

Android 12
Huawei Health app ver. 12.1.7.310
Region : Poland (EU)
Theoretically speaking it should work, because Curve is added to Huawei Wallet as the Payment method. From NFC settings on your phone you need to select Huawei Wallet and the Watch only allows you to select Huawei Wallet. Well, another option for payment could be Stocard Pay, however, Stocard will be shutting down Stocard Pay on November 30, 2022. Anyway Stocard Pay only worked in some countries: United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and France.
Actually, I have a Huawei Watch 3 myself and I thought to order the Curve card and tested it. But I haven't done yet, basically because I normally use Google Pay or Revolut, and I don't want to have more apps/cards.

So you have iPhone 12, Huawei Watch GT3 Pro and Curve Pay . Can you pay from your Watch right now using one system or another?
Stocard Pay will stop working at the end of this month, at least I was told that, however Stocard will continue working as usual.

Yes, I have iPhone 12, Huawei Watch GT3 Pro and different cards (Monzo, Curve amd Revolut). The problem to pay with the watch is from Huawei, because the Wallet icon is not available in the app Huawei Health using it in iOS.
As I have also a Android phone, I paired the watch with the Android phone and now in the app Huawei Health I have an icon called Wallet but when I’ve tried to access, I receive a message “current wearable version doesn’t support this service “.

that's odd, Huawei Watch GT3 Pro has NFC, and I remember to have this message before and I was able to fix it.
Open the Wallet from the watch and also from the Health app, check updates from the watch, perhaps there is one for the wallet and it will recognise the Wallet app in the Android phone.
I just requested the Curve Card, so soon I will be able to test if Curve payment works on Huawei Watches.

Yes, I'm aware of that, however, you can disconnect (no unpair) the Watch from the Health App in iPhone and connect to Health App in Android. Not reset is required and it's quite fast. This is possible as far as you have the same Huawei account in both mobiles.

I did that but I unpaired the watch from the Health App on the iPhone. I'll try to do it as you say. Many thanks.
It was not easy to setup Curve as they payment method in Huawei Wallet, I tried different options until I found one - the way to fix it is BEFORE you install the app make sure you have some kind of default payment method like google pay or huawei wallet ticked. if Huawei Wallet is no default nfc method before installing the app it wont work.
So when I tried to pay this morning from the Watch or the phone and having Huawei Wallet as the default NFC setting, I had the following message: NFC card not working.
But I was expecting this from the watch, because yesterday after doing all setup and having my Curve Card on Huawei Wallet app, I realised that when I opened H Wallet on Health App, this integrated app only allows to add Loyalty Cards.
I don't know if that happens because I'm located in Ireland or what.
I have tried the following NFC settings, and none of them has worked from the Watch:
Fantastic, while writing this post and I was chatting with Huawei support and get the following message:
"I understand, thank you for letting us know about these issues as I will definitely pass them to the concerned department for further possible improvements. In regards to your inquiry, even if the watch supports the NFC function, the method of paying with the NFC is not yet available in the UK for the watches"
Few minutes after, told me that NFC using Curve should work:
No much said after that, he didn't come back to me.
Keep in mind that for this type of suggestions, they need to have more than one inquiry, meaning from more customers in order to take action of it.
You can perform this action by accessing this link and completing this form directly: https://www.aspiegel.com/en/support/supportContactUs

Hello,
i just switched to a pixel 7 pro with android 13 and the sync with the Health app is not working (HUAWEI WATCH 3). Not even notifications and phone calls.
Has anyone solved the problem?
I have already tried to install the official versions of Health and HMS, and also the latest ones found on apkmirror but none of them work.
Thank you
Hi, same problem here.
Any solution?
Aa looks I'm not alone, I just spend 6 hours in support on huawei and Google but non of them can't help. I thing they even didn't know there is issue.
Have same problem with watch 3 pro.
But watch gt 3 pro works fine but on that is just rename d liteOs to Harmony Os.
Watch 3 pro has real Harmony OS that I thing will some issue with permission. It's just my guess but I hope someone find solution. I try it last 3 days to play around it.
Looks watch 3 and watch 3 pro (real harmony OS) has this issue.
Ps: more wierd is i gotalso pixel 6 pro and there watch 3 pro works completely fine, no issue at all.
I have the Same Problem no found the Failire at the monent
Same here. Please let us know if there's any info on this.
Mine doesn't get notifications with Pixel 7 Pro either
When do we think we will get a fix? I'd say never.
I have decided to sell off my 3 Pro. I think Google are making sure Huawei Watches don't function fully on Pixel Phones.
I'm facing the same issue with my huawei watch.
Exactly the same here. Pixel Pro 7, Huawei Watch 3 Pro, tried everything multiple times thinking i must be missing something. No notifications to the watch at all- calls, texts, alarms. Continuous heartrate and Sp0 won't work now. And watch won't sync. Sucks. Also have issues with viewing website imbedded video in auto-rotated landscape, and my CCTV cameras in landscape on the Pixel( Reolink and Camhi).
So i assume the watch is 1st issue, and the phone is 2nd issue. How annoying.
Anyone found any solution yet?
I realized my heart rate and spo2 levels also don't sync with my pixel 7 pro. Skin temperature, stress level and sleep records sync without any issues.
I went into watch settings and allowed each and every permission one by one.
No notifications whatsoever! I regret the day I bought this watch. And because of this, I will not be buying any otherr Huawei watch. It's a shame because I really like their watches.

Nah I tried all that too. I'm just assuming Google don't like Huawei anymore due to all the bans and stuff. I've just ordered a Ticwatch Pro 3 ultra instead whilst they're on sale. Hopefully that'll work ok using Wear OS.

I understand google not allowing their softwares on Huawei products but restricting people's choices of hardware is over the top.
I also believe Huawei is extremity slow in updating their softwares. Their watch was working fine with pixel 6 from what I see online. But Pixel 7 uses Android 13 and I believe Huawei Health and HMS Core doesn't yet support Android 13. We are also yet to see Huawei Pay in UK! I've paid good money for the watch not long ago and I can't see myself spending extra to buy another brand! I'll claim my free Pixel Watch soon but reviews doesn't look too good!
Same issue faced here. GT runner on both pixel 7 and oneplus 9R (Android 13 beta). I think Android V13 might not allow apps those are not from PLAY STORE to have the permission. Here's my workaround with a fresh start:
1. Install "Huawei Health" at the PLAY STORE (very old version)
2. Grant the permission in the system settings
3. Install "Huawei Health" at the Huawei website
4. Connect Huawei watch to the phone
Now your sync permission is still there. Btw, I dont know whether you can get the permission back if you cancel it now

This works.
Pixel 7 pro with android 13 cloned from Huawei P20 pro,
Huawei Watch 3 Pro.
Huawei Health app offered me an update and after I agreed it downloaded an .apk file. After the update, I deleted the pairing of my Huawei Watch 3 Pro with my old phone and started a new pairing, the watch generated a QR code. I ran a scan in Huawei Health and the pairing was successful. There is a problem, pairing breaks in watch ultra long battery life mode. This worked with the p20.
I saw Huawei released a new update for the Huawei Health application. Version: 13.0.0.320. Does anyone know if this solves the issue with Android 13? If not, I will wait with updating. Cheers!

This didn twork with pixel 7 pro and watch 3 pro.
Actually there is no issue with permission, watch just not have sync from phone. I can go to contact also use Internet through Bluetooth, but watch didnt have info permissions from app of continuous measurement or update weather or show notifications etc.
Looks like some share info missing or they didn't have.
Unfortunately pixel monthly update didn't fix this. Hope will app update soon to fix this.
Ps: my GT3 pro works completely fine, must be watch 3 series issue real harmony OS.
GT3 series use LiteOS renamed to Harmony OS.
Has there been any updates to the Hauwei health app to fix this problem?
I have the same problem , and i'm still lo0king for a solution.
I have been looking round the net & wondered if the problem was an out of date HMS Core software.
Has anyone updated to the latest HMS Core & then tried and see if notifications come through & phone calls?
on android 13 apps that are not in the latest play store will have limited permissions, just like huawei health ... take a look at this Youtube video
, a solution for that , and it worked on my huawei smart watch,.... for HMS which always crashes on android 13 use this version https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/huawe...ces/huawei-mobile-services-6-0-0-305-release/
