OP3 RR ROM Camera Help. (Possible bug?) - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I have resurrection remix ROM M 5.7.2 on my op3. I have some issues with the camera. When I take a nighttime photo without flash its fuzzy. Sometimes when flash is enabled its too bright and you can barely see the picture. Lastly slowmotion does not work. None of the frame rate setting work for me. Are these bugs or is it just me? Other than that (and android pay, lol) its an amazing ROM! Kudos to the devs! :good:
Thanks!

LineageOs Camera problem!!!

Hello Everyone!! I'm a newbie here. I just flashed my Moto G3 with LineageOs 14.1. Everything works perfectly except the stock camera app. When I focus on something and tap on shutter button( with flash enabled) it focuses, but when it clicks the pic it automatically gets defocused. I'm always getting a blurred image because of this. I've tried all the camera apps other than the stock one. It's the same with all of them. The only app thats out of this is motorola camera app. But I want the stock app to work like properly. Help me out!!!
 Thank you

LSC (Lenovo Super Camera)

I found it on 4pda but i think developer was from this forum.
I dont take any credit, i didnt port this camera nor was in the process in any way...
Dont ask me for porting something else etc...
This is flashable zip, go in TWRP and flash, reboot, voila
This camera is by my opinion one of the best for custom roms, based on Nougat.
Snapdragon stock camera records dark videos and panoramas so this is good alternative...
For OREO i advise to use OnePlus camera because of API2.
Im on AEX 4.4 rom 24.07 build, using Heliox kernel 15.10 build, flashed camera blobs extracted from stock nougat.

Doesnt work:
Panorama mode
Panorama selfie
and some other options which are specific to Lenovo phones.
PRO mode is working, you can set manualy some parameters, really nice options...
This is a comparison of OnePlus 2.5.12 camera and this LCS camera:
Tested during night:
Video recording is better with LSC camera, in low light. Also Lenovo camera has option to take pictures during recording. Zoom is faster with LSC when recording.
For pictures I give advance to OnePlus camera, faster autofocus, also it has feature to brighten the image, like iPhone.
But I think picture details are better with LSC. When you zoom you can see the difference. Also double the size of pictures for LSC. But focus with LSC can sometimes be missed. For focus advantage goes to OnePlus.
Selfie definitely better with LSC, with OnePlus pictures are yellowish.
Tested during daylight:
Video autofocus is much quicker and less noticeable in LCS camera, OnePlus zooms like its taking a picture and defocused period is much longer than on LCS.
Pictures have warmer colors with LCS, and more details, but OnePlus is definitely winner for autofocus and sharpness of an image... You can achieve that with LCS but you have to get used to it and see when focus is not right and manually tap for focus. Or move away the phone to let it zoom again and take another picture. LCS focus is not bad at all but Oneplus camera is much faster and more accurate.
Here is also latest gcam that works without API 2

I think is creates the best panoramas. Needs more testing...
Today i saw it creates dark images in low light but panorama stays light.
This app is only for PANORAMA mode.
Thanks for sharing mate.
Currently I'm using this and the Camera from OP5. Both seems to be the best alternative cameras for the Custom ROMs

Absolutely. They have their cons and pros but combined makes camera perfect . Only slow motion doesnt work good with any camera... But i can live without it.
Oreo ZUI is out for our phone btw, i hope camera on custom OREO roms will get even better and that zui developers enabled api2 finally....
HDR+ google camera makes really nice photos...
Bad news, looks like ZUI devs didn't enabled API2 even in OREO rom...
I asked few guys which installed the rom, HDR+ cannot be found. But they say camera is much improved...
Is there an .apk version?

LG G3 Oreo Rom w/ camera

ok this is my first post here, so tell me if i posted somwhere wrong..
but my question is is there any Oreo rom, doesn't matter if it's 8.0 or 8.1.
that has a working camera, and that it can record..
You can record on all Oreo roms, but you need like footej camera or open camera apps. The stock will work when LOS devs fix it.
quality of images can vary depending on the app and the used setting!
open camera works nice, there is aswell a htc camera port here - that works:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/4-camera-apps-lg-g3-t3610027
Crdroid has fixed camera so now everything works perfectly.
Got D855TR; I've tried almost all of the 8.1 and 8.0 roms available here, unfortunately none of them gets my back camera or flash working (front camera works)... It is not hardware related because if I go back to stock MM 6.0 , they both work flawlessly... I am hoping devs will resolve these soon but seems like many people are having camera issues.. If anyone got any suggestions or ideas, I'd really appreciate it

Gcam Miui vs AOSP

Hi, my Redmi Note 5 is arriving and I want to know if I install Ressurrection Remix OS the Gcam app will have the same image quality as if I install it on Miui?
In my opinion it's even better, since you can adjust a lot in the modified versions of the gcam (look out of Arnova and saneklic.)
You can bump up the image quality by quite a bit (also in low light conditions, images can get better). Additionally you have some nice mods (like photosphere, different modis of panorama) which the others don't have. In my opinion the mi camera performs as good or worse than the gcam.
The portrait effect with the blured background can be achieved perfectly by 1 lens again, so no need to use the mi camera for that effect (since lineage snap & gcam use 1 lense only). So there is no need to use miui camera for that one.
Don't forget to activate camera2api (persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1) in the build.prop and you are good2go I hope it helped!
Edit: if you want to use the miui camera anyway, there is a thread where you can flash the .zip file and have it anyway!
I think he means that he would like to know if the gcam performs the same on Miui as on aosp Rom. In the end, is the gcam so good on Miui as the same gcam app on aosp?
Personally I think yes, because they both used camera2api, but I didn't test it.

Google Camera 6.1 [Finally*] {!}

after a lot of excavation and deep digging, i have found a great gcam for our moto z play.
best: no green tint whatsoever! portrait and night mode works (crashes sometimes and takes time but works!)
tested on: Xperience 13 latest 2020 build.
con: colors are still washed out.
temporary fix: raise the back camera saturation level and see results.
no external configuration file used.

credits for modding the app goes to the respective developer.
Also, To Google for evolving and developing smartphone computational photography!
better link suggestions are always appreciated!:victory:
Nice but
i'm sorry, but I didn't like it .. I still prefer the version 2.3beta2.190806.0915build-6.2.031
NightVision is BEAUTIFUL kkk
ps. some bugs, but supportable ..
