Notification Light - Verizon Note 7 Questions & Answers

I have not seen or heard if there will be a notifications LED. The front images I have seen, you can see the eye scanner, camera, and one other spot. Not sure if that spot is for the LED or a light sensor. Does anybody know?

I'm thinking that the other sensor may be for the Prox sensor for when you put the device to your face and it kills the display so as not to accidentally dial a number. And that the notification indicator my be next to the top speaker beneath the top glass

It will be the same as it is in the S7 and S7 Edge. There is no physical way to see it, but it blinks visibly through the glass. As seen in the pic below.

The light is on and visible in some of the videos of the Samsung announcement event, in the area pictured above. It's there.

Orange glow?

Anyone else have a stupid orange glow on the camera when you look at hardwood floor or a wooden table when there is light on it?
Like a lens flare/halo effect?
This yellowish, orangish glow when looking at wood with light hitting hit.

So you're complaining because a glossy surface caused image distortion? Sounds legit.
Yeah and this is with a note 2
Comparing devices with different image sensors isn't how you figure out if there's something wrong with yours.
It looks over saturated, I don't think anything is wrong with the camera, just too much color. Try messing with the color settings on the camera.

Weird thing on lens

I just noticed that a weird purple/pink blotch of colour appears on my camera lens when I digitally zoom in.
I thought it was dust but even after vigorously wipe the lens it still stays there

Camera lens scratch.
Try anothe camera app to be sure.
What should I do?
Nothing you can do.
Probably a laser burn, did you use your phone as camera/flashlight on a location with lasers like a disco or anything?.

Proximity sensor is covered - Screen always black during calls! How to fix? LG E980.

Hi,
After screen digitizer replacement, I've found that the proximity sensor works very strangely.
Sometimes, it can spot something and stops showing as "covered", but immediately after reboot, it always shows as "covered". That is, the distance detected is always at ZERO cm (near) and never goes to 5 cm (far) as it should be.
How am I supposed to fix this? The "Proximity Fix" app does not help.
How do you fix this after screen replacement?
As you see in the attached picture, the "sensor last covered for" value keeps increasing every millisecond. In this screenshot you see it as 7000 something ms.

White specs in photos

Had the HTC 10 for about a week now and noticed a strange camera issue.
When taking pictures in certain situations while zoomed in I noticed that some of the pixels shimmer white. It seems like the pixels on the camera sensor itself are acting up, as I notice they are in the same place. I know it's not an issue with my screen because it I zoom out a little the location of the pixels acting up changes.
Has anyone else experienced this? You won't notice in very bright or very dark scenes. I started noticing it while taking indoor pics with light and dark areas in the same scene.

Note the white pixel in the middle of the screenshot. There are several of these across the image and they always appear in the same part of the photo when they do appear.

Question Camera can't identify some colours??

I was taking a picture of Peppa pig for some unknown random reason lol but even on the screen before taking the shot there faces are blue to?

Really weird colours on tvs
This may be because it's an LCD TV emitting polarized light, and camera sensors tend to be sensitive to polarization. If you were to wear polarized sunglasses, the TV might appear different colors based on the relative angle of the sunglasses to the TV.
Digital cameras also tend to be sensitive to blue light, and most LCD panels use "white" LEDS for the backlight - which aren't really white at all, but rather blue LEDs with a yellow phosphor.
