Hey!
So i just bought a tmobile lg g3 d851 and it got an ota update for marshmallow.
I want to root my device and searching through the forums i could not find a method to root a g3 running android 6.0. Tried purpledark and that failed.
Could someone please guide me.

I used the method linked above and it was the only one that worked. Every other root method worked temporarily or not all.

Hi, I want to root my lg g3 d85130e. I tried king root but they said no update available. I am currently running Marshmallow 6.0 Please help

@Zeeshan311, you may be in luck. Folks have had problems getting root on 30E. Recent announcement in 30E thread just may changed that.

I updated the op directions on how to install 30e with root and keep root and twrp. And also I included how to fix root and twrp if you lost it going to 30e.

[Q] VS985 TWRP Installation

First of all, I am new to rooting. I just want to get that out of the way -- I am still learning the ropes.
Anyway, I have VS985 (Verizon) LG G3 and it is running Stock Lollipop 5.0.1. I recently rooted the device.
I am interested in installing TWRP, because I would like to try some custom ROMs (CyanogenMod in particular). However, I have not been able to install TWRP on my device. Also, I have not been able to find a working tutorial for my particular LG G3.
A short tutorial that will help me install TWRP / CyanogenMod on my G3 would be much appreciated.

ROOT for F400K 6.0 MARSHMALLOW

Is there any known good method for rooting an LG G3 F400K running 6.0 ?
Reason I ask is that I have tried a few, none seem to work? Updates to most of them were around 2 years ago?
If you are on v30n firmware is impossible to root, for moment, and you need to revert to an older version on firmware , if lg flash tool don't work, give a try to lg up

I got upgraded to 30n and the best solution i used was to DOWNgrade with the lg flash tool to 30b then do all the process
