I like the skin, it's light and doesn't totally bog down the phone like others do. I love the launcher (I almost always download nova prime, haven't even downloaded it to this phone), I really really like the file browser. It's similar to the one Asus has on the play store, but polished a bit better, unlike other skins I feel this phones power saving mode actually makes a difference without destroying performance, the camera app is WAY better than the one from stock Android. I also like the short notification pull down menu. I can access Wi-Fi, data for both Sims, sound and gps. (They can be changed) , AND the voice recorder works extremely well. You can record in mid quality mp3 or high quality WAV. AND you can TRIM after..
The most important things when I'm setting out driving. It's similar to that seem in nougat.
it's missing some simple things like on screen button options, a dark settings option, and it seems like there will be more themes made available than miflavor and stock Android. but coming from touchwiz, I can say I'm very pleased.
One bug I've noticed is while I'm on phone calls, her notification panel goes to garbage. It gets EXTREMELY laggy.. I mean... HORRIBLY laggy. Every other aspect of the phone works no differently than when I'm not on call.
how you change themes i went to themes in settings but only 2 available and you cant download anymore

I would love to see a NIGHT theme.

For me the best dialer because T9 search also finds recently dialed numbers.
Not a big fan of the launcher (Apple like) but I like the menus.
Don't like the DND mode approach, which is burried in menus, though.
How do you change the theme, that is a good question. since there are only 2 of them I would have also liked a dark mode.

I own the Optimus G Pro (AT&T) as well as the HTC One and Galaxy S4. I love them all in different ways, but I find myself returning to the G Pro more often.
My Note II felt too big and the lack of one-handed utility used to get to me. I don't feel that way about my G Pro. It's still too big for many one-handed tasks, but fits much better in my hand.
I don't know if it's a lack of advertising push on LGs part, disinterest by bloggers in general, or what, but this phone, much like the Optimus G is at a serious disadvantage when it comes to:
Accessories
Dev Support
Reviews/News coverage
There isn't even a lot of activity in XDA for this device. It's sad to me, because it's an excellent device. So, let me tell you what my favorite things about this phone are:
I love the SMS popup in the upper left corner. It's a small thing, but it's done well and I find it useful
I like the screen real estate, much as I did on my Note 2, but in a smaller package and 1080p
Unlike the GS4, there's virtually no lag. The UI is smooth, second only to the HTC One
Video compression - I love that if you want to send a video through MMS, you get the option to "trim" it, but you don't have to. It will simply compress it to the maximum allowable size for MMS, much like iOS. No other Android device does this and it's a great feature if you like to share videos over MMS and the quality isn't super important.
Notification light- The notification light on this thing is awesome and hard to miss. On my HTC one, it's pretty hard to see sometimes and it randomly just stops blinking even if I haven't checked the notification.
Wireless charging out of the box (AT&T) without adding a bulky back that makes it incompatible with cases (looking at you, GS4).
Quickmemo. I find this much more useful. First of all, it's instant, unlike the Note 2. Second, not having to remove the styllus makes it much more convenient. I use it to take screenshots of things I want to show people and circle them. Very handy.
Overall, the only thing I would really change is the camera quality. I wish it were a little better. I even like LG's skin okay. It adds more to the Android experience than it ruins.

By removing the "app" button, LG made an Android phone feel like an iPhone. This problem can easily be remedied in a number of ways, but it may be a hassle for people who don't know what a "launcher" is.
Obviously prefer stock, but non replaceable battery on Nexus devices does not do the job for me.

Actually I'm not fond of the stock feel. With that in mind, I don't like the white background in the G5 settings.. I wish I could change it. Maybe some xposed module.
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime.
@op, You Might really want to add a Poll to OP instead of Rating the Thread. That Stars Rating is intended for completely different purpose.

I keep telling people that the only thing better than stock Android is OxygenOS. It has a small handful of helpful features, like button customization and dark mode, to make using the phone more pleasureable than even a Nexus.
For me stock Android is the worst. Zero personalization. Oxygen OS has some tweaks but this is still not enough. I've flashed Ressurection Remix on the first day
More customisation than stock Android, but less than CM. Love Oxygen OS !
It's truly the bee's knees. Wholeheartedly agree with @svetius. Much better to use than a Nexus. Love the gestures and button customization.
I'm really happy about software, I would like a screenshot gesture like my previous zenfone 2 ... that's it

It's first time when I've used EMUI.
Well, it got many features as you may see on internet too and it looks quite nice. The colors used on EMUI 5 looks even nicer.
You could say that is bloated, but thanks to some of them you've got some nice features, out of the box.
However, I don't like the fact that persistent notifications can be dismissed by swiping them (e.g. Skype, Viber, Tasker and so on). They were supposed to be persistent, ya know?
I also don't like the fact that battery stats (e.g. SOT) is included in Phone Manager app. In my opinion, that app is a big bloatware and is the first one I would get rid of.

Terrible ZenUI. Nougat update helped a bit. But it is just still terrible. Terrible color scheme. Larger than necessary buttons from drop down menu.
Despite the 1 star, I've grown to just ignore a lot of the stuff I dislike.
I use Nova launcher on all my phones, so I don't see too much of the ZenUI. I actually like their quick dropdown menu and haven't had any issues.
Upgraded to nougat, switched to nova launcher and now it doesn't bother me too much. I do wish the quick dropdown menu had smaller icons though, looks like it was designed for blind people.
