Ulefone Future review, including GPS, battery life test results, Ulefone Future Antutu and more.
(All original writing here, based on source at GizBeat: http://www.gizbeat.com/review/ulefone-future-review-4gb-ram-bezel-less-mt6755-helio-p10/)
We've always liked Ulefone. They generally make very good phones with good components and solid build. The Ulefone Future is especially interesting due to it's bezel-less display.
Ulefone Future camera
The camera on the Ulefone Future is the 16mp Samsung S5K3P3. It's a very good camera capable of putting out very good images, but in certain situations overexposed images. This was easily fixed by setting exposure to -1EV or shooting in HDR mode.
Have a look to see what we mean. The first shot looks good, but there are some blown out highlights...All in all not bad DR for a tiny sensor, but stopping down -1EV helped bring the highlights back and adds some depth to the shot. Note that there were no edits made to these images other than crop and resize.
First shot (no exposure/focus point set, just point and shoot)

Second shot at -1EV (no exposure/focus point set, just point and shoot)
And here a big crop and resize
Overall the Samsung S5K3P3 is a very good mid-range camera sensor, and it's difficult to tell images apart from pictures from higher-priced sensors such as Sony IMX298 unless making 100% crops and comparing very closely.
Ulefone Future review WiFi
Ulefone Future reaches about 80ft/24m before becoming unstable. This is 60% of the distance we require to be considered excellent and should be fine for nearly all home and business situations.
Ulefone Future review GPS
GPS on the Future is good. Warm locks happen in seconds and the GPS lock stays strong. SNR is a bit lower than we'd like to see, but in real world situations shouldn't be an issue.
Ulefone Future battery life
Battery life on the Future can be considered good, hitting 6-7 hours on our WiFi/YouTube/140lux/720p video test. The average user can expect to get about 5 hours SOT.
Ulefone Future review gaming
We tested gaming on the Ulefone Future and hit a consistent 30fps on NOVA at 1080p default and a consistent 25-30fps on Asphalt 8 1080p default.
Ulefone Future review Antutu
Antutu on the Ulefone Future hits a solid 51k
Ulefone Future review OS fluidity and stability
During our time with the Ulefone Future there were no force closes. The OS is extremely fluid with MT6755 Helio P10 pushing Android 6.0 without issue.
Ulefone Future review RAM
RAM on the Ulefone Future is a big 4GB. We found we could have multiple tabs opened in Chrome, Gmail opened, YouTube opened, Facebook messenger opened, NOVA opened, and Asphalt 8 opened all at the same time without any of them falling out of memory, and with more than 1gb RAM to spare.
Ulefone Future review style
If you're considering the Ulefone Future, the big might be the bezel-less display. Ulefone doesn't disappoint here. The display is truly bezel-less and looks good.
Ulefone Future review conclusion
We like the Ulefone Future. It's a good phone and comes recommended, however we wouldn't call it the best buy out there, but the Future can be considered a solid pick.

Chuwi hi12 battery review
Battery life:
The Chuwi Hi12 comes with an 11,000 battery. HWinfo detected my battery to have 10,125 mAh which seems about right. (You never get 100% of the capacity, Windows reserves some, manufacturing process etc etc) During my time using the Hi12 I was able to get a reasonably good idea of battery life with the following senaroes:
Gaming 50% brightness around 3 hours.
Web browsing 50% brightness about 6:30 hours.
Mixed YouTube viewing with docs, multiple tabs open in Edge and multitasking. 50% brightness: 5-6 hours.
Videos/Movies flight mode on 50% brightness around 7 1/2 to 8 hours.25% brightness could see around 30 minutes more.
I’ll update this with more exact figures when I have more time on the battery only. The above tests were run with Intel’s battery saving features disabled too.
Your own times will depend on various factors, but overall I feel the battery life is great for a tablet with this sized screen. It would seem the 12″ PLS panel isn’t as heavy on the battery as I would have thought.
Heat and throttling:
Chuwi has done well with the thermals on the Hi12, in all my time testing and reviewing my unit, temperatures never went over 73 degrees and the tablet never felt hot. My guess is Chuwi has a large thermal pad between the SoC and the rear metal housing. This is acting as a huge heat sink transferring heat away from the Atom X5 Z8300 and dissipating it through the metal. I’ve seen Cube do the same with the i7 Core M tablets and it was very effective.
Gaming for a few hours saw the max temps reach 77 degrees. But I really, really wanted to push the thermals on this unit since it’s running much cooler than other Z8300’s. Running Furmark and Intel burn test while charging I was able to get up to 79 degrees after 21 minutes. Not bad, all other Cherry Trail Atom’s would have hit at least 85 degrees if not more with that test. And I don’t see Furmark and CPU burn as a realistic test at all, normally you would never max both the GPU and CPU at 100% under normal use.
thanks for that
Right now Chinese mobile device manufacturers have produced series of high end smartphones which bring more competition for most rivals or customers. We have got the latest news from Chinese manufacturer, Ulefone, they are readay to produce Ulefone Vienna. They focus on Battery size last year, this year they are committed to the audio devices.
Ulefone Vienna will be the new device attached great importance to the HIFI effect. And it will also use a 1920*1080p display, you can see the picture which leaked the news about the smartphone.
As for how much about it, when will it be released? I think we should wait for more news from Ulefone official!
Therefore, what do you think of this Ulefone Vienna? Will it be over the other models like Ulefone Power, Umi iron pro?
Hope you can share more with me?

I wonder if they are using a built-in DAC and that's why they call it "HiFi Experience".
It was about time for Ulefone to introduced to us a new phone. All of their competitors have already announced their flagships. Let's hope Vienna's gonna be a great phone
looks cool, as an owner of ulefone be touch 3 i really like this company and it's products, will keep an eye out for this one
As you know, i have checked the news that Ulefone Vienna will be released, and ulefone focus on the audio-centric route like other Chinese smartphones , Vivo, Meizu, etc. According to the latest news , Ulefone Vienna will be powered by MTK6753 Octa core chipest, and the storage will be ROM 32GB, and the RAM has 3gb, which has changed the previous specs. About the other function, it is said it will have Fingerprint scanner on the back of the design.
About the selling price, it is still not sure. Just wait and see the result.

do you know how about the battery?
Wow, ulefone vienna not only performs well in its hardware, but also the speaker, sound effect. They have leaked the video test about it.
The test in the video has the Ulefone Vienna plugged in to a set of high-end HiVi M200MKI speakers and demonstrates the audio performance through 7 different tracks from bass and treble to vocals and pop music.
Where's the video though?

I read on geekbuying that it is 3250mAh., not amazing but it's not bad. If it's as well done as the Ulefone Power then it's a real interesting phone.

After 2 days of extensive use of this device I will give 9.5 out of 10 points for this camera. For very little price you will get a good specified device which runs on MTK6735 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor with 2GB Ram/16GB ROM and HD 720x1280 pixel 5.5 Inch IPS, G+F lamination screen . The front camera is 2.0 Mega Pixel (interpolation 5.0MP) and rear camera is 8.0MegaPixel (interpolation 13.0MP) with flashlight and auto focus. It is included by massive 3000 mAh battery which can easily take out your day.
On the front side, top is equipped by a 2.0 MP camera alongside sensors, led notification light and on the down, capacitive touch buttons. The back side of the device is made of plastic (brushed metallic finish which gives a premium look), top equipped with 8.0 MP camera with flash light and at the bottom "HOMTOM" logo printed.
The frame is made of Aluminium metal which gives a nice look in this price range. The volume rockers and power buttons are place on left side of the device (trend is right side). Bottom is equipped with two speaker grills (one is just for symmetry) with normal USB point and a 2.5 mm jack hole on the top.
HOMTOM HT7 Pro runs on Android 5.1 lollipop version with near stock vanilla AOSP. You will get approx 11 GB out of 16 GB ROM usable and almost 1 GB free RAM always which makes this device faster and smoother. I had played ASPHALT 8 game and it was buttery smooth.
On the Antutu Bench mark it scored 24735 and Geekbench 487 on single core / 1392 multi core. The screen is 5 point touch screen and only Accelerometer, Light and Proximity sensors are supported. It comes with some pre-installed apps like Applock, Bagan Myanmar and Go keyboards. It support FM Radio and you need an earphone to use as antenna.
Sample Photographs snapped by HT7 Pro :
Its dual sim LTE device and also support SD card upto 128 GB. Expecting more..................... think again Overall it is a cheap and best smartphone under US$80 price tag.

I have this phone and the camera is quite good. But it's far from being a camera phone - te macro is not good at all and the focus is not very fast(not bad also).
The battery is nothing special.
This is a smartphone which will come probably loaded with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and one which is said to be powered by a 64-bit MediaTek (MT6737) processor. Uhans will choose MT6737 CPU: 4x ARM Cortex-A53 up 1.3GHz with Mali 720 GPU.
Camera Sony IMX 219on Uhans 5000.
More Specifications of UHANS H5000 Unveiled...

Clarity and sharpness will not be lost out on display. It is not shatterproof but it has got a strong shield as Gorilla Glass 4 which not may phones will offer at that price
HANS H5000 features 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Uhans H5000 1% battery test
The 1% battery of UHANS H5000 has been tested for the time it can last. It is a very big surprise that the phone has done such a great job of power consumption.
This time around let's check gaming playing. With the efficient MediaTek MT6737 processor and a decent memory of 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, it indeed feels good for gaming. We tested three different games, and all goes smoothly.

------------
Hit thank you button if I helped you
The whole package contains the necessary accessories as usual, USB cable, AC power adapter, tempered glass film, protective case and user guide.
A good camera has increasingly become one of the most decisive factors for good smartphones.
The UHANS H5000 cannot quite really a member of very good smartphone in terms of the specs, but its camera does make it a worthy contender at its price.
The 8MP rear camera it comes with is not so special, comparing to other smartphones on the current market. The Sony IMX219 sensor is nothing special, either. What matters is how the engineers of UHANS have made it to be.
The speed of auto-focus has been greatly adjusted. It takes no more than 0.1s. Colors are sharper and more vivid, close to reality. It has ditched all the shortcomings of phones with that sensor, rendered with excellent crispness, the photos taken with H5000 replete with great viewing angles and vivid, sumptuous colors.

UMi Diamond is the most recent product from UMi, a compact and tough 5 inches phone which is available in pre-sale at the stunning price of 99.99$. It’s not only tough, but it also presents a clean and classy design: resistant but also polished and with a sober and elegant appearance, shiny as a diamond in its black, white and gold variants.
One of the main focus of the product is the resistance: the glass used by the UMi Diamond offers scratch-resistant and shock-resistant protection to a high degree.
As the video shows, the UMi Diamond survives the two side drops and the flat screen one without problems, the phone is fully working and has taken no damage to its vital parts, thanks to the combination of a strong metal frame, a resistant polycarbonate back cover and the patented Dual T2X-1 glass.
Also, the materials used for the metal frame and the back cover help to reduce the damage caused by random impacts, helping to preserve the functioning of the phone.
After the laboratory tests made some days ago, UMi wanted to show a video where they perform some real-life drop tests at 1.2 and 1.5 meters, to simulate those bad drops that may happen when pulling out the phone from the pocket or form the bag while in the street.
So, for just less than 100 dollars you can bring home a phone powered by the powerful Octa-Core processor MT6753 clocked at 1.5 Ghz, with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage with support up to 128GB Micro-SD Card.
Main Shooter is an 8mpx Camera (up to 13mpx through software) and Selfie shooter is a 2mpx unit, the battery is a 2650mAh unit and everything is moved by Android 6 Marshmallow.

UMi Diamond durability tests: over 10k drops and it’s still alive!
From previous news, we know that UMi Diamond will be a tough phone, able to resist to bump and scratches better than common phones.
One of the main focus of the product is the resistance of the display: Strengthened glass must be scratch-resistant and shock-resistant, and the T2X-1 glass used by the UMi Diamond offers both qualities to a high degree.
Also, the materials used for the metal frame and the back cover help to reduce the damage caused by random impacts, helping to preserve the functioning of the phone.
But UMi today wanted to show a video where they show a few examples of the tests which the UMi Diamond undergoes in reliable lab tests to prove its strength, showing how much it can be tortured.
So, in the video we saw the example of the tests, but let’s have a look to the full datas emerging from the tests:
So, what do you think about the resistance of the UMi Diamond? Is toughness an important aspect when considering the purchase of a smartphone?

Official Review from UMI:
As it seems that this phone has an Trojan/Adware installer built into its systemui.apk just like the umi london has, is there any way to port any other rom to this device ? i would even live with an android 5 version as long as i can use a clean phone
