[Q] SGH-I747M - Unlocking and changing carrier networks

Hello guys! I'm using the I747M variant which I bought from Rogers about 8 months ago and I want to know if I can switch to other carriers network here in Canada via unlocking because Rogers' available phone plans are just a pain in the ass so I want to switch networks. So please kindly share any information regarding unlocking and changing carrier networks. Thanks in advance

Once unlocked, It is guaranteed to work with Bell and Telus.
Hope this helps :good:
Search for it, it's around here in the forums for free. You just need a simcard from the next provider you wish to go to.

How about on other networks such as Mobilicity? My mom is on a plan on Mobilicity and I also want the same plan because my phone is kinda useless without internet and not even a caller ID.
once unlocked it'd most likely work
but for the data part, i can't really say because different mhz on different carrier network..
so 70% chance that you will only get Edge in your area
Does anyone knows any information on how to change radio frequencies on a phone? I've seen some SG3 on ebay.ca that is labelled as "Pentaband" and could work with any carrier network here in Canada. Can someone please explain to me how does this work? And is it possible for my phone to be converted into a "Pentaband" phone?
Mobilicity does not use the same bands as Rogers, Bell or Telus for its HSPA/HSPA+ service. As Pcshano said, your phone would work on Mobilicity, but only on Edge.
You encounter the same problem as T-Mobile users in the US, and WIND and Videotron in Canada. See [WIP][BOUNTY] Enable 3G on 1700MHz for ATT Galaxy S3 i747 on efforts to enable HSPA on 1700MHz on the i747.

[T217T] [T217A] QCN file needed for UMTS AWS band unlock

I have searched everywhere! I can't be the only one with this issue!
I need a qcn file from a T-Mobile version of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (sm-t217t). If anyone out there has a t217t, and would be willing to share the qcn file, it would be greatly appreciated.
I have an SM-T217A that is unlocked and I am trying to use it with T-Mo. The problem is, I live in an area that doesn't have lte yet. Much of my area is still stuck on EDGE. Since AT&T is such a petty lil' child, they lock out the aws bands so you can't use their devices with T-Mo. This is nothing more then a software lock that is easy to bypass with the proper files and mods. That is why I'm here. If someone could provide the qcn file from a t217t, I believe I can unlock the bands and make the t217a useful with T-Mo's 3G & HSPA+ networks.
After I've modded the bands to work with the aws network, I'll upload the qcn for others to benefit from this effort. After all, I can't be the only one who needs this.
Note: T-Mo c.s. told me that every area will be upgraded to lte starting this summer, but I know better then to hold my breath with the slowest network in the world.
Mods; Please close this thread. I have solved this issue. I will post a how-to in a few days, in case anyone else wants to use a t217a on T-Mo.

Samsung S6 Sprint CDMA USA SIM Unlock

Hello to XDA community, as for the title let me clarify on my problem.
Recently I bought a used Samsung S6 SM-G920P from a shop. Then I realise that its a CDMA USA version, it cant receive 4G/LTE network in my country ( Malaysia / Asia ) but it can receive the 3G network. I really want to enable the 4G network, what must I do? Perhaps unlocking the network band or anything? Im lost
Thanks for advance.
