Downgrade ,Root , OBEX ,etc... ( Question )

Hi guys!
I'd like to know ,if i need to downgrade to an older rom version to root it .
My rom is :
2.73....
I read that i need to downgrade to 1.76 or something like this , than i can root it. If i downgrade ,root it , and after upgrade again to 2.73 ( i think it's the last official version ) will can i use custom roms and use OBEX ( this is what i want ).
To use OBEX , i read that i need to have it rooted , that's why i'm asking this.

you dont need to downgrade to get root or install a custom rom.

You need to downgrade to root your hero. you can read it here

But after i root it , can i upgrade again to the official 2.73 rom ? ( will i lost the root ) ?

You would have to upgrade using a rooted stock rom.

[Q] image version issue , ruu

hello i want to bootload my wfs and i have in image version 2.26.75.1 . when i tried to downloaded de new rom to bootload ( see guys i am from morocco , so i downloaded the rom with morocco in it ) and now when i run the setup they told me that i want to update the rom version from 2.26.75.1 to 1.68.497.1 , so what should i do ? is that right or should i download another version ? help me please

My device is indian HTC variant A5_DWG.....i flashed a TWRP back up of this through recovery and evrything is fine ...BUT MY WIFI AND BLUETOOTH IS NOT WORKING......please help me to upgrade the FIRMWARE....it will be great ....my device is rooted.....with Twrp installed....S-ON.....please help......And kindly guide how to flash..firmware of Marshmallow through TWRP....

Hi Friends.
i buy one N5100 Chinesse and i need help
have booatlader locked and no can upgrade Android
have 4.1.2
and i like upgrade kitkat
i read and i download one apk is CRom 1.0.4. apk this apk unlock Bootloader chinesse but only starting in Android kitkat, not execute in 4.1.2
Any advice that can help me for unlock Bootloader?

solved ¡¡¡
i find one program VZW GS3 EZ-Unlock
this apk unlock and clean bootloader chinesse .
after clean bootoader the Tablet entry in mode download
reebot in recovery and flash new rom.
