Thanks, anything that let's me modify a picture like circle it... On Hawaii P9 they had a graffiti option.
Im also using QuickPic, but the last version before it was bought by Cheetah Mobile. Dont really like what they did with the SW and couldnt delete pictures on my SD card with the newest version. The old one can. It has the signature check disabled, so you wont get an update for it.
Does anyone have more suggestions
+1 for QuickPic... I don't think you'll see anything else recommended more.

I know this is old but I'll just leave my two cents about a Gallery I just found yesterday: F-Stop https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fstop.photo it's a nice and fast Material Design UI, has the most EXIF data I've seen on some galleries out there per photo, doesn't have any ads and has some nice features like protecting some photos or albums with a password, after Piktures (was a bit slow) and Google Photos (didn't let me do something as simple as renaming a photo from the viewer) this is what I used in the end
with me, sony album is the best

I'm looking for the best application to view my images.
JustPictures is very good. In the settings you can get it to show the images at their full resolution and quality, something the default app can't do.

Nice app!. I don't think it can't replace gallery3d as it's more complex and probably less user friendly, but is good to have it as a complement

Gallery3D doesn't work on froyo 2.2.
I am using the one that the SGS Tools provide under Upgrade stock apps.
I believe it comes from the HTC Desire in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752007
there is currently a problem with thumbnails not showing in the correct aspect ratio. Hopefully it will be solved soon.

That's because you're trying to replace a system app -
Also on its market page, it says 2.1+ not only 2.1

I've removed the system app with titanium backup.
i've installed the app from the market.
It seems exactly the same as I had with my SGS when I bought it.
The only difference is that the animations are smoother/slower.
Also, I didn't understand if this app is the same from the link above (XDA forum).
Can it view large images? Why does it take forever to render images from picasa when I use fast wifi connection? <- same behaviour as the original app
The best is Picture viewer free in market

By the way is there a way to restrict the folders that will show pics on justpictures. It shows a lot of icons or album covers and I dont really need it (I know I can do it with .nomedia but that's really tedious...)

So, the problem u r having is that JP is showing even the album cover thumbnails. Is that right?
Go to Add Account->Local->Root path
Type the desired media folder you want to b displayed. Don't put in the folder containing album cover. Now when this is done u can delete the original Local folder.
Hope it solves ur problem.

Or just hold your finger on the folder until a menu comes up. You can set it to ignore the folder, when it lets you edit the path you can set it to ignore your whole music folder

Ty so much there I just downloaded QuickPic and it works amazingly especially with Whatsapp. Thanks again
At least for me. I loved being able to snap a pic with my big camera, have the EyeFi upload it and sync it to Picasa, and have the picture in my JB stock gallery on the Nexus 4 automatically. The Sony Gallery will pull the Picasa images, but I have to manually tell it to refresh and it takes a LONG time.
Once the image is downloaded I can't share it from there, I have to download it and then go look for it and share it. It also downloads a small version of the image.
I was able to install the stock JB Gallery app but I was missing the components to sync Picasa. Still need to work on fixing that. Anyone use something that would make things better?
I don't know if this will help because it probably is quite obvious to you already, but have you tried using quickpic?

Oh that's not the way it's supposed to look? Haha. I had never used Quick Pic. It looks pretty good, but it doesn't have Picasa integration, so it doesn't add much value here.
I did find that I can pull the Picasa pictures more easily with Google +, but I still have to download them and then share them. It only shares to Google +. At least the resolution of the downloaded images is much better than what the Sony app gets and the pics are already synced when I open the app.
It looks like the Sony gallery does not use the Android sync service and pulls its own version of the images.

They want all of your Photos not only the ones you choose, I mean in case you want to use the sync option, which is (would be) a nice feature.
Would be very easy, I think, to add options like "Folders to sync"...."Folders to show"....and something like that, that makes the User the Owner of the Stuff
But these are Questions like, why we don't get an option to fully Access our Phones "Root" by Clickin......is all about the Money they make by Advertising "non Know Users" and so on....FTI.
We are all buying industrial Money making Machines for a lot of Bucks....because we love Tech!

I see that there is no stock gallery app on this phone. Looks like Google wants you to solely use photos. I almost don't mind, but, I'd really like to manage the pictures and videos that are saved to my phone. Does Google still have one that I can grab even with an apk online? If not, what do you guys and gals recommend?
Please and thanks!

I think the problem is people moving to Google phone after being with phones by LG or Samsung. Not sure when Google officially made the switch over to Photos, but it definitely was around in 2015. When I got the Nexus 6P, I noticed it didn't have a stock gallery app, so it was extremely weird for me at first.

My issue with Google Photos is that I cannot change default view to device folders. I have to swipe to select everytime I use photos app. It results in mobile data usage as default view is photos that are in cloud storage.

Well, that is true. It defaults to a 'view' mode that sorts each picture by day. However, I have the cloud feature disabled for me, so no data usage. Photos behavior has always been that 'view' mode though.

People are not blinded by this! It is the fack that you are unable to access your album's w/ 1 click & the grid style layout is favorable! And do not touch Google photos if you don't want to bring every photo in existence to your device...but you are unable to force stop & still be able to take a pic! I'll say it again... Google's ability to store & display albums is still lacking.

I actually love being able to see all the pics I've ever taken with Google Photos. That's why I've uploaded pics even from old point and shoot cameras I had. And the ability to search by person, places, or things is amazing.

Have quickpic on my Mi a2 lite and it was working fine. Today I took some videos, thumbnails are visible but nothing happens when I press them, video simply doesn't play. I can play them through the Google photos app but not quickpic.... Any ideas why?
Maybe move to another gallery app, like Simple Gallery, then forget QuickPic?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplemobiletools.gallery&hl=en
As far as I know, QuickPic is regarded as being cursed by Cheetah Mobile and highly discouraged by most users. Old version may cause conflicts with Android Pie too such as feature compatibility.

I can say it's not the best out there (it's subjective), but it does the better job as a gallery app (at least for me and other users who use this app), it's simple to use and it's lightweight. And on top of that, it has no ads (since it's open source app).
Same here. Nothing to do with Pie update coz it's only just started not playing vids. I can open a file in Quicpic using Play with VLC in a drop down but that's a PITA. Wondering how I'd get the same folders that I've set up in a new app. I'll give it a go.

Its a pity as I quite liked QuickPic. I take quite a few pictures and find I have to rotate some or all of them. In Quickpic,I could just select the ones I wanted to rotate and rotate together. Now with Simple Gallery I have to go into evry single photo and rotate individually....PITA,same with Google photos......Is there any other photo app that allows multi pic rotate?
