I have the phantom voicemail on my phone after a rom reload. I've cleared the data for the phone app but the phantom voicemail shows back up after a phone restart. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I get them all the time when I flash new ROM's or restoring a Nandroid. It comes from the VVM service trying to activate on your device.

You can't really, I use my VMM app to intercept them and do what it's supposed to but it doesn't always work.

I got the "your device is not compatible" message or didn't get an install button on playstore for either Textra or Handcent. Has anyone else experienced this? Using CM10.2. Other downloads seem fine.
And I did clear cache and data from play app before posting.

I didn't notice it with that app, but I had seen it with others. I think APN Backup and Restore, which I had used in the past.
I am also facing this problem when try to install whatsapp, go sms and BBM after flash CM10.2. Anyone know whats the problem??
Found out that due to an issue with official CM and any ROM based on it, they won't download. Not sure what the exact issue is but if you can find them outside of Playstore, you can download them.

I got my MSL code through sprint, but when i try reset my phone nothing happens. Any ideas on how to get it to work? Reason I'm doing this is because i cannot access the Sprint network at all (no data, calls, text messaging). Thanks for any help.
How exactly are you trying to reset the phone? What is the method you're using?

I actually was able to fix my phone. Thanks for the help though.
I use to use go SMS as my messaging app, then I was introduced to Hangouts by my brother. Its plain and simple as a messaging app. I have one issue, sometimes my MMS won't download and I will get individual messages from the contact person, saying "cannot download, please press to download message" and when I press it, sometimes it won't download, other times it won't download till a little later or it just won't download at all. Is there any fix to this? Its very frustrating. I redownloaded the app, I even wiped my phone. I put a new ROM on, (was happening on my previous ROM also). My modem is mk4, going to switch to NB4. But is this an app issue or connectivity issue? I always get my regular SMS without a problem. Please help, I'll appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

If you're on WiFi calling then that's why, you need to disable it or disable it every time you get an MMS

I get this same issue even with stock messenger. Like Serio said, you need to disable Wifi calling. I just shut Wifi off using the toggle send/receive the MMS then turn it back on.

Yup that's what I do.. But it should work fine with stock SMS app, unless you have hangouts as your default SMS client

Only touchwiz ROMs have WiFi calling, so this is not your issue.. Try asking or searching in the ROM thread to see if someone was able to find a solution.. I'm on Google edition ROM and have no issues sending MMS with hangouts while connected to WiFi

Hey I need a little bit of help. I was running jlmancuso's Verizon port on my note 2. My phone decided to reboot itself and it got stuck on the boot screen. I got tired of waiting so I used philz recovery and formatted my device and loaded the Rom back on my phone. When it booted, I lost all cellular connections. It still works on Wi-Fi. I've the the ##scrtn# code but it doesn't work. I've called Sprint and they tried to help me reprovision it but they couldn't either. I tried to restore using Kies but my phone won't connect. I have returned to stock with Odin but still no signal. Please if you have any advice let me know. Thank you.
Same problem here with the same situation!
Those fixes require a sprint rom most times. Flash community rom or chaz's classic 4.4.2 and use your dialer codes there.

I have tried those codes with the stock Rom I loaded with Odin. Nothing works. Although I did get a signal for about 10 minutes when my phone was charging running your Verizon port...
Odd. When you go into setting about device status is your phone number/esn/etc correct or showing unknown?

It's all showing unknown. I'm not that worried about my phone, I have insurance through Best Buy so a new one will be in Wednesday. I just don't want this to happen again.
Yes it is not a huge issue and should not be very hard. I would suggest flashing the current community rom (has modified hiddenmenu.apk) then run the dialer code that resets phone and starts hands free activation.
