I have the latest version of Android Revolution HD 53.1, rooted S-ON
I have the following problems :
1- System is taking 12.30GB from the internal storage (that right after the factory reset).
2- for some reason, I cant download google chrome from play store but I can download any other apps.
3- I cant download anything from the browser ( I tried different browsers and even 3rd party apps download managers)
4- I tried to download pokemon Go from my PC and copy it to my external SD and installed the application but when ever I try to open the application it says stopped working.
Thanks, with best regards,

I found the new play store of Jely Bean! (New android 4.1) , You can download it in the attached file
How to install manually?
1. - In your Android goes to Settings -> Applications -> and check the box Unknown sources, so you can install applications manually.
2. - Download the Google APK Store v3.7.11 Play, your smartphone or tablet connects via USB to your computer and copy the APK downloaded to the microSD card from your android and disconnect your device from your computer.
3. - With a file browser goes to the contents of the microSD card and find the APK Store v3.7.11 and Google Play install it, will tell you that you are overwriting an operating system application and you must accept it.
That's it, after a few seconds you will have installed the new Android app store on your device.

Been done, several times already. Plus, the latest version is 3.7.13
I have SuperNova ROM on the phone (Supernova_2.4.0.1_signed.zip). I have root and S-OFF (stock HBOOT image). Now that I have finally found a ROM that expands my internal memory some of the apps don't want to install. So the situation is that most of the apps do install, but when I try to install some of them I get an error message right after the download of the app is complete, and before the installation starts.
This is the error message:
Download error
Download was unsuccessful,
please try again.

One example of app that always fails every time I try to install it, is Angry Birds by Rovio Mobile. The download size is 33.83 MB (version 3.1.0) and right after the download completes it gives me the error that the download was unsuccessful.
What is this? Unsuccessful download? How can it be unsuccessful? I just saw the download complete!! This is more of an installation problem than download problem.
Why does it affect only some of the apps and not all of them?
I thought this had only to do with game apps, and/or apps with large install sizes. But I have installed Benji Bananas (version 1.9) which is 16.88 MB and some other heavy apps without a problem.
Does it have to do with where the app defaults to install? Default install location? Apps that install to SD (support Froyo App2SD) by default? Maybe this is somehow messed up with the App2SD+ and Data2SD that's integrated in this ROM?

Read this:https://supernova.droidzone.in/category/faq/ at 28.
Thanks Tonal! I actually visited that same FAQ page earlier today but I gave up after reading through half of the page. I didn't think that this issue was covered by the FAQ. I didn't expect to find it at the bottom of the page as the last Q & A. I feel like they should move this up to the top, maybe even make it the question number one, as I'm sure others have faced this issue before and it's probably a frequent issue.
Here is a copy of that Q & A for future visitors.
28 Question: I am unable to install large apps (typically >25 MB or thereabouts) on my phone
This is a limitation of Market cache. To solve this, you have to tweak your software a bit.
Beginners: You need to first install an app called Scriptmanager from the Market. Once done, download a script named cacheboost.sh from here. Run Script Manager, and select this downloaded script. Execute is as root (the icon with Skull and Bones must be activated). This script must be run after a reboot, and before you want to install a large app. The changed made by the script are lost after each reboot, though the app you installed remains installed. If you find yourself running this frequently, you may add the path to this script in an init.d script to execute it at every boot.
Advanced Users: Download cacheboost.sh script
Open a terminal emulator or adb shell interface
Code:
cd /path/to/script
chmod 755 cacheboost.sh
./cacheboost.sh
If you wish to load the script at every boot, add a line in /system/etc/init.d/01data

So this has to do with the cache of the Android Market app not being big enough. Go figure!
All of this is redundant however. Because I have solved it by simply manually installing the latest Play Store app (replacement of Android Market). It refused to install over ADB, so I had to copy the APK file to the SD and then open it with a file explorer.
Here's a short how-to.
Download the APK file for Play Store.
Connect the phone to the computer. If prompted, choose to mount as disk drive.
Copy the APK file to the SD card.
Disconnect the phone.
Go to menu, settings, applications, and enable unknown sources.
Start a file manager app (I used ES File Explorer, but ASTRO is good too).
Browse to the file (/mnt/sdcard/) and tap it to open. You'll be prompted if you want to replace a system app. Tap OK to continue.
I have included screenshots and the APK for the Play Store since I had it readily available anyway. But you can also check out this post at DroidLife and follow the download link there. It looks like they link to version 4.0.25. Mine is 4.0.27 which is even better.
From last week I'm facing this issue.
1) this issue is with some apps only.
- till now i hv seen this error while updating Facebook, Gmail and Tv Sideview app
2) Google Play store completely downloads the app but while updating it says Error: Insufficient Storage.
3)
But I'm able to install other apps from Google Play.
4) Even installing Facebook, Gmail, Sixaxis Controller manually from APK has failed it says Free up some space. While I can still install games as large as 50mb.
5) two weeks later I have rooted my phone, but I haven't done any critical changes which many rooted android users do.
6) some apps I'm using which u may want to know are:
-SuperSU, Root Uninstaller (fr deleting G-books n G-Newstand), GL to SD (but it's unmounted), Link to SD (just installed didn't use it), Rom Toolbox Lite (didn't use it either) and Lucky Patcher.
I have mentioned it because I got to know that it's the issue with those using lucky Patcher....???
Root /dev/log... Folder has just four files. Nothing to clean frm there.
Internal memory : 360mb (I had uninstalled some apps to increase it too 410mb but still facing the same issue)
Help requested. What to do now?
Phone: Sony Xperia M Dual
Model: C2004
Android version: 4.2.2 (Stock Rom) just rooted nothing changed.

UPDATE: FIXED ||||| PROBLEM SOLVED
====================================
I had changed d Apps2SD option to SD Card which was causing this error. Changed it to Auto again
By the way another fix is to goto lucky Patcher and in it's troubleshooting menu. Choose remove /delte (any logical options which says to clear) patches and backups
PS: i read it smwhere and haven't tried this one.

move your apps to sd card using link2sd.. here's a guide to it http://www.xda-developers.com/android/guide-on-increasing-application-storage-with-link2sd/
Hi! My phone can download and install apps just fine however when apps need to download additional files, they cannot save the downloaded files. Multiple apps have had this issue so I think it's a problem with my phone. There is enough space available because storage says I have 24 gb free. I've tried factory resetting my phone but the same problem persists. Thanks!
My phone was kinda laggy and I had audio problems during calls while I was on CM 12, so I decided to switch to AOSP 6.0.5.1 ROM. I installed it on the phone and decided to format my SD card afterward. It appeared I had forgotten to install Gapps and after the SD formatting this task came near to impossible. I tried downloading them from the basic browser of the phone, but whenever I start downloading any stuff from the basic browser it crashes and prevents any downloads. I tried transferring them with USB but after this whole thing, my Phone folder on the PC explorer appears to be blank. I finally managed to send the gapps .zip file via Bluetooth but when I tried installing them in Recovery (Touch Philz Recovery) it gave me a Status 6 error. I tried sending the google play .apk file via Bluetooth but it could not be sent for whatever reason. The only alternative that comes to my mind right now is sending another ROM via Bluetooth with gapps set and installing it. Any ideas on how to get the gapps running? Thanks in advance.
P.S. I don't know if that is because of the lack of gapps installed but I tried installing any .apk file from another micro SD card and a message appears that these files (.apk) can't be opened.
Why don't you just reflash the ROM and Gapps in one go?
BTW, did you root the rom? Enable Dev Option? Enable install unknown source? Its AOSP 6.0.1 I believe?
