FULL Root via Bin4ry

Please check this thread for FULL ROOT of the Xperia M with locked bootloader:

Some of you who may have owned previous Sony phones may recognise the legendar Bina4y, he has been rooting Sony phones for years.
Just to let you know, root option 1 worked for me. You will see SU installed at the end. This is now the simplest and fullest root available on the Xperia M that I have used.

It comes from a Chinese source but don't be intimidated if you can't read everything. When you download it, if offers everything in English. It's really simple, a lot like the 'One Click Root' from past versions of Android.

I think it's half root. None of my app have problems getting root access with it, but if I try to edit the build.prop, it does reboot.

Dont use VRoot, it is reported to have been carrying out suspicious activity on your device.

Huh? Have any mods on XDA looked into this? I read a lot of tech news (like many on here) and I keep hearing more positive things about it.
Don't get me wrong, I do not work for them in any way! If Doomlord or any other super-pros get FULL root on this I will happily use it.

[HELP REQUEST] Safe Stock Rooting (without unlocking BL) 14.5.A.2.270 [Windows 10]

I'm sorry for not being sure where to post this, but I read it on forum rules if not sure to post on General section.
So I have this lovely Z1 Compact " Sadly up-to-date'd " *Yes, I love updates and I have Technology OCD*. Anyways, so I wanted to root this phone (just like all my ol'phones), but the problem here is that this is the first time I deal with Sony's firmwares and I am quite confused to be honest.
Enough with the chit-chating and I will try to make it quick.
1) I just want my Z1C rooted safely without losing my DRM keys or at least a way to back them up! Please remember that my firmware "as stated in title" is 14.5.A.2.270. So if you could help me back up my DRMs or root without unlocking Bootloader, it would be great.
2) Another thing, I am not quite sure about the right way to ROOT my phone with this firmware, like tools and steps to go through. (If you can give me a guide and links for that as well, I would be more than thankful. I am sorry I don't wanna break my phone)

Drm keys will be untouched since this is for locked bootloader. You will only lose drm keys when you unlock bootloader.

Latest king root doesn't work with 5.1, but one user says they got older version to work.

[Q] Using Kingroot deletes DRM keys ?

Title pretty much says it all. Does using KingRoot on Z1 Compact 14A.5.0.270 delete the DRM keys ? Note that it roots without Unlocking the Bootloader.

No. It doesn't. At least my keys weren't affected. But immediately after rooting with Kingroot I used the replace Kingroot with SU program and everything went fine.

Thanks but one last thing I am sorry. I tried using it and it gave me an error of not being able to connect to the internet to get the root strategy something. Yes, I made sure that my internet is connected of course !

Kingroot is currently not working on 5.1.1. The requests have been made. Check out the Kingroot XDA thread recent entries. There are other rooting options in this forum.

Hi mate,
what method did you use to root 5.1.1?
I spent hours last night clearing 5gb of space on c:\ so I could update my z1 to 5.1 using pc companion.
Finally got it updated and now I realise kingroot doesnt work on 5.1 yet.
Any pointers would be much appreciated,

One user in Kingroot thread says they rooted using an older version, (I think he said 4.1). I haven't looked into it more than that, but maybe worth a look. Besides that, probably a PRF is your only option with locked BL for now.

Cheers mate, I'll look into that older version of kingroot, failing that I'll wait (and hope) for them to update kingroot as I'm too chicken to go the PRF route... yet.

well... couldnt find the post you mentioned, but tried kingroot 4.1 anyway... no joy. says root method/solution unavailable

It's a good cell phone but loose a lot of potential with all this "system-garbageware".

Did you try KingRoot? (Not kingO) It worked fine with mine K420N.

Yes. Didn't get even close, even with OEM unlocked mode in dev settings.

ive used kingroot to root mines which it did but the thing is after installing L speed and Root booster i ended up with a Boot verifcation fail, i don't know exactly whether or not the problem was caused by Kingroot or by the other two apps

yeah i turned it off a day after rooting and nah the phone could'nt be salvaged sadly

I just got my new K10 and iRoot did not work, so I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294 and it can at least disable the applications, so root is not so badly needed.

I have the T-Mobile 428 version, I have tried KingRoot, KingoRoot, iRoot, StumpRoot, LG One Click Root and Framaroot on this phone and nothing. I also tried a root method from a dev in XDA, just can't remember the name. It would be nice to have root on this device.

KingRoot 4.5.3 question Aptoide tells me I'm rooted
Upgrade to 4.8.3 will tell I'm not rooted need help

You got it wrong bro most of LG devices specially those running on Android M doesn't support "one click root". Lg K10 can be root by using adb, twrp, and super su package. Using commands in cmd will play a major role.
Follow this thread and look for its 1st page.

How to root???

Hi everyone, i have XA2 H4113 dual, after getting Android 9 pie i realized that its nothing different i got than Oreo, its so called software upgrade doesn't have sony Xperia new launched out of the box pie devices such as Xperia 10 and 10 plus user interface and launcher,
Over all its really disappointing to XA2 users which were hopeful for new UI and Launcher after updating 9.0 pie
So after deep consideration i am willing to root my device 1st time in life, but i want to root my device with one click root apps like King root, one click root or Kingo root, after watching several tutorials on YouTube about all these rooting apps i download and install one by one these all and try to root my device as per given instructions on tutorials , but no luck for me, please let me know and help me out what are the reasons behind rooting failure with these super easy and popular methods? Thanks in advance :good:

Probably none of the methods work on the newest os-es as the security has been hardend so you'll need to unlock the bootloader and the use twrp to install magisk...

unlocking the bootloader is not a big deal but there is no root for android Pie yet, unless you wanna try something weird and brick your phone

Has anyone rooted this phone with lineageOS?
Tried addonsu and Magisk both seem to run ok when adb sideloaded through TWRP but don't actually work when booted into OS.
Why lineageOS hasn't got root by default?

So XA2 ultra user here and not sure if this helps, but magisk seems to install fine for us (discovery) but so far I'm having a ton of issues regarding freezes and reboots. Will search for a kernal fix, anyone have a clue to this? Just thought I'd inset my 2¢ into this and see if anyone has any insight to this. Thanks guys you do great work ?
