HTC 10 AT&T Users - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Any other users of HTC 10 on AT&T network?
Any carrier related issues anyone else seeing?
Has anyone been able to get VOLTE working?
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

I've had no issues here in LA. Visual Voicemail, VoLTE.... everything works great!

To my surprise, it worked straight out of the box with my US Unlocked device. No special setup. Worked on 1.21, 1.53 and now 1.80 fw. Just transferred my SIM from my M9.
For my wife's unlocked A9, I ended up having to get her a new SIM card, but the first one we used was like 3 years old and not compatible with volte.
PS - if you were saying that you pm'ed me I didn't get it.

I bought my device off of Craigslist from a guy who said he ordered it from HTC but didn't want it because of the whole T-Mobile LTE bands situation, I bought it transferred my Volte enabled sim from my m9 into it.
It was running the Euro fw with a saudi mid #..
I unlocked bootloader, twrpd, rooted, soff, changed cid and mid to us unlocked then flashed the US unlocked 1.80 update. Everything works fine carrier wise data, LTE, text the whole nine yards.
Once I booted up the US unlocked fw I selected att, checked to make sure I was using att nxtgen apn, enabled Volte in settings but there is something still wrong cause it drops to 4g from LTE during a phone call.
I thought there would be more att users using the 10 but during my searching the net and xda I have seen very little mention of the issue or users from att in general.. @jollywhitefoot
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Hopefully if there is any other att users who see this and have better luck getting it to work youll help me out

You said you switched to us unlocked firmware, but what about rom? Please tell me what the software version in system settings is.
And I'm sure you know this, but volte doesn't work with every call. I test it by calling voicemail.

Just call your voicemail number. If mobile signal changes to 4g, then either volte isn't working or you are not in a volte area.

I'll test that when I get home where I know I always had Volte with my m9.. Only other thing I can think to do is get a new sim, when I fist booted in the rom of the US unlocked firmware it had a message that said sim has been changed to begin setup restart phone, this is before any of the setup process literally as soon as it booted.. Only the first initial boot never seen the message again

If you're sure it's not an area issue, and volte still won't work, I'd ruu back to stock. If it won't work fresh off of an ruu, then it's probably not an issue with the phone itself (unless there's a defect or something). New SIM would be my next step. Do you still have the M9?

Yes still have m9

So if you swap SIM and volte works on M9, then you don't need a new sim..

Just for the hell of it just swung into my att store and had them program and replace the sim to rule it out, soon as I get home into Volte area I'll let you know weather it worked or not

I guess factory reset or ruu flash would be next if this doesn't work

Maritime network?

I'm on ATT in the US. Got my phone yesterday it picked up lte without issues. I flashed CM10.1 and it now displays maritime as the network, not ATT. I have never seen this does anyone have any ideas?

Does it say your roaming under about phone and status?
Martime on Certain AT&T Sim Cards is ACTUALLY T-Mobile I was coruise about it while back but its NOT phone specific it was like that on my Note 2 as well, mine would show AT&T everytime I tried to connect to Maritime (Which is T-mobile) I cant as I cant roam on it here sadly But yea its pretty much tmobile

Ive seen it a lot when going under network search. Go to the market and search for Cell ID Info or network info and download one screen shot (Take your number out) and post it.
When you got your ZL did you get a New Sim or using your old sim ?

I disagree here. I had an HTC thunderbolt before the S4 and it took them forever to get 4.0 eventhough every similar phone already had it on other carriers.
With all the custom ROMs out, really? A *lack* of an update is reason to switch carriers?
Obviously, I'm not putting enough weight on my ROM when picking a carrier.

Internal photos

If anyone's interested, the FCC just released their photos of the Verizon One's internals:
https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/repo...ame=N&application_id=986316&fcc_id=NM8PN07310
Looks like we have the same Qualcomm MDM9615 modem as the Sprint variant, FWIW.
EDIT: There's also a WTR1605L transceiver inside that can apparently handle all LTE bands. Any possibility of unlocking support for AWS band 4 LTE?
AWS will most likely become available once it becomes more readily available.

The problem is we haven't gotten any update like on the S4 that explicitly says band 4 has been enabled and the FCC test reports don't show any info about it either. I'm wondering if they left out official support for it like on the Nexus 4, and if there's some way we could force on AWS in the firmware.

meta data inside the apk said com.htc.fmservice, so it's the official app for the other carriers. I'm guessing this guy isn't using the verizon model.
honestly, though. if Spirit FM can't get it working, nothing can. (except Verizon, but who would expect THAT to happen!)

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I have the app installed (it came installed on EclipticONE), but the radio is never able to find a station to tune to anything. Based on my searching, it looks like almost all, if not all recent Verizon phones have had FM Radio disconnected in the hardware, so it's not something a software fix will work on. Verizon is just trying to find another way to charge us for data by forcing us to stream radio if we want local stations. (Luckily I still have unlimited data!)

I don't remember him saying it is a problem, just curious.
Should be ATT thing then, or is it non native network?
Come to think of it, it actually makes sense, if you switch sim cards back and forth or have dual sim adapter this could be life saver to know which network you're currently using, imagine, you think you're on T-mo and instead make international calls on ATT sim, ouch. I wonder if the network name will show up if using non T-mo card on T-mo phone?

It's an ATT thing - it's even labeled as such in the SystemUI if you go poking around in it. The connection type doesn't matter in this case, it's the fact that the phone identifies itself as an ATT variant that it shows.
so this is an N900A specific thing then ? It's not rooted and was bought at launch from att store.

But anyways, running the US unlocked edition on AT&T....
Downloading now. Unlocked non carrier version here.
Came in this morning during a meeting
Install took a while
Us unlocked
Took about 30mins to install but the camera seems to be focusing a lot better on macro shots before the update the camera was always blurry on closeup shots a few inches from the object.
Installing on my phone now as well. US unlocked version.

I had to put it in airplane mode and take it back out for it to start working. Before that I could not send messages and a sent MMS didn't come in. I noticed when I turned off WiFi that the 4G LTE didn't show up, checked the APNs and it was fine, tried switching network selection around with no effect and then I put it in airplane mode and took it out and my MMS came in and I was able to send messages again. I've rebooted after that and the problem with data hasn't reappeared.

Testing new update for U.S unlocked devices. So far so good Wi-Fi seems improved. response times feel more Snappy !! Unlock speeds seem improved with fingerprint scanner. Camera focusing seems a bit more stable. I am not seeing any messaging issues with HTC messenger. Data stability seems more stable as well. I think U.S unlocked customers are going to be very happy. So far so good ?
