I'm currently running custom 4.3 ROMS on my i747m with MK5 bootloader and I'm looking to flash 4.3 stock. I want to return to stock and use DE-SAMSUNGNIZER to de-bloat stock. Is this possible? Or will I lose ROOT and be unable to flash any other custom ROMS.
Thanks for the help!
I suppose you could flash a pre-rooted rom via Odin.
Root is not required to flash custom ROMs, using a custom recovery should do the trick.

Would you recommend using a pre-rooted & deodexed ROM flashed via CWM/TWRP or using the Sasktel Image flashed via Odin?
Thanks for your help audit13
I have a bell s3 so I always just flash the pre_rooted stock image and a custom recovery. By having root, I can uninstall the bloated apps.
I don't think the pre_rooted ROM I use is deodexed.
For the past couple of weeks in have been trying to install a custom rom so I could enable bluetooth tethering for galaxy gear. My tmobile note 3 is rooted in follow every step perfectly, however, after rooting in use Odin to install custom recover after that is done in have my rom on my dad card and boot into recovery when flashing the rom the phone gets sent into reboot loop. If anyone can assist me to either install a custom rom to enable bluetooth tethering or some other way of enabling it would be much appreciated.

Most likely you are trying to flash a 4.4.2 KitKat Tmobile custom rom coming from
the NB4 4.3 stock Jellybean rom.
If that's the case then you need to Odin flash the official stock kitkat 4.4.2
rom before you can flash any of the 4.4.2 kitkat custom roms.
You can download the official 4.4.2 kitkat stock Odin flash rom from
http://SamMobile.com After flashing you will need to root the phone
again and flash a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
Once that's done you will have no problems flashing the 4.4.2 kitkat custom roms.
Good luck!

Hi first of all I want to ask that I had stock 4.1.2 when I bought the phone, rooted it, flashed mj5 bootloader and successfully flashed the xperia z-ized rom based on 4.3 on my N7100. Then I wished to switch to dn3 rom but I still did not like it so I reverted back to stock 4.1.2 and updated to stock 4.4.2 via OTA updates. My question is, while updating via OTA to stock 4.4.2, can it be possible that I lost my mj5 bootloader and it was replaced by samsung's proprietary bootloader?
After using stock 4.4.2 I thought to check out the LS rom so I rooted, flashed philz recovery but the ROM does not boot at all and while trying to revert back to stock 4.1.2, ODIN displays the fail message. What did I do wrong and what should I do to overcome this? Thanks.
You've locked your bootloader because you upgraded to latest official which also comes with Knoxx.
i badly need help my gnex maguro is currently running a stock rom 4.2 with installed cwm and already rooted.. i tried to flash 2 custom roms slimbean and liquidsmooth both 4.3 build. but after booting to rom the root permission is gone.. do i have to update to 4.3 stock rom then root it to be able to install custom rom with 4.3 build?
You probably just need to flash superSU and everything will be fine.
