My phone is LG g4 H815.
I have successfully got the device-id, I used the imei number on the back of the phone, then I want to get the unlock.bin , but it says IMEI is unmatched !!!
Wow，I know the IMEI can be changed , but if the IMEI is wrong， how can I get the real IMEI?
Without the IMEI ,can I unlock my H815 directly?

is it one of the unlockables phones?? not all are unlockable... if yes .. was it repaired by Lg.?? if so .. i have read 2 users that sent theirs and were unlocked but received phone and they could no longer get unlock.bin.. cause it doesnt match .. like they changed number.. they both called or contacted LG and told them and LG provided them a new key...

are you sure its one of the unlockable ones?? not all are... if so .. then contact LG...
i have the same Problem...i contact lg...now wait for more infos or unlock code!
I have new infos from LG. He have reopen the activation for my phone in the System. Now i can unlock the bootloader. Try this after work. No change @ id from the phone.

Then your brother can give you his info to verify and unlock it. If he can't.....then it's stolen and you are SOL.

Cant be solved other wait 3 days or something... There is an article on androidcentral or authority about this.. Check it for more information. Otherwise you are screwed as even a new kdz flash will come back to that same point...

when you go on lg website and you put your imei that tell you if its possible or not .

i know. i put me imei and its say that impossible to unlock. can you explain? h815 singapore this is what lg site say.
It's the SEA variant. And no, you can't change it to EUR and unlock it.

Thank you. After surfing in forum i understand all. BTW i have a Singapore device and i cant unlock it, lg site jumping an error. I see your topic about sea unlock and in last page you can see pic of this error. Maybe its need a time to arive to all devices?

Yea, they've been slowly adding them over the last month or two.
I had purchased a supposedly international unlocked LG g3 D855 32gb from eBay. Currently I am running kitkat 4.4.2 rooted rom which came pre-installed on the phone and it's rooted. There is no update center on my phone
Now I want to update it to lollipop or may be marshmallow but the problem is that I can't find which version of rom to flash as there are lots of D855 models in market there is European version, Korean version, Hong Kong version, Indian version. There is no clear indication on the box or on the phone abt the version is there any sure shot way of knowing what rom should I flash as I can't take risk of hard / soft bricking the phone. I am attaching screen shot of software version.

Download the app LGPhone From from play store, run it and one of the entries under serial no. will give a series of letters which denote area and carrier. E.g AGBRVK which is Virgin UK. Hope this helps.

If it is an original LG D855 the first entry should read OK, and then should list serial numbers and IME. Possibly your phone is a fake. I don't know as I have never seen one.

Trying to update my phone in hopes that its android P so I can turn on dark mode in the alarm app and not blind myself in the morning. LG's website shows there's a newer version of the software but my phone says "no updates available"? Is my only option to to it via USB or whats the deal?

Did you buy phone new or from third party? Who is phone service provider? Does phone show serial number under about phone or blank?

Yea looks that way, IMEI lookup shows its a "PM" from Sprint. How should I proceed?

Go to magisk and install Hidden Settings. once open find Hidden settings in the menu and then use this video for your imei issues.. The video is for the V20 but same info. It will lead yo to CRCWIZZARD Test. imei can be repaired along with mac id and bluetooth radio id.. no computer needed. All possible on the handset
