[Q] HTC One M8 - Cellular network is disconnected after flashing custom ROM

[Q] M8 - Cellular al network is disconnected after flashing custom ROM
I flashed from Sense 6 to latest CM11 Nightly (cm-11-20141223-NIGHTLY-m8) on my HTC One M8 device. Everything is perfect, enjoying CM11, except that my T-Mobile network doesn't work. I am able to connect to network. It shows pretty weak connection or no connection at all: 0-2 stick. I've tried different ROMs, but still having the same issue.
SOLVED
On Android 5, Settings > More > Cellular Networks > Access Point Names. There I had T-Mobile US LTE (fast.t-mobile.com) selected. I also have T-Mobile US (epc.tmobile.com) and T-Mobile IS LTE IPv6 (fast.t-mobile.com). I selected T-Mobile US and now my mobile network works perfectly!

[SOLVED] Can't get 4G/LTE after restoring

Hey all. I'm currently running a D855V (Australian model) rooted on stock Android 4.4.2.
So I recently upgraded to Lollipop but couldn't use it fully due to issues with some other software of mine. So I used the KDZ method to flash back to 10E. Since then I've lost all 4G/LTE on my phone.
I've tried changing the networking mode inside the mobile network settings from GSM/WCDMA to GSM/WCDMA/LTE but once selected my entire mobile network will drop. From there it will regain network connectivity for about 10 seconds (minus any data connection) and then drop off again, showing no network. It will continue to do this until I change the network type back to GSM/WCDMA or reboot (which defaults the connectivity method back to GSM/WCDMA anyway). I tried flashing the 10C firmware too (for Australia) but this will do the exact same thing.
I've also tried changing the LTE RAT settings inside the hidden menu to GSM/WCDMA/LTE and it still won't connect. It will drop the network like the previous method but will then reconnect only with a HSDPA connection rather than 4G/LTE.
I've checked the SIM card in another phone and it works fine with 4G/LTE. I've also checked my IMEI and it shows that I do have one so I can rule that out. Right now I"m at a loss. I'm thinking I need to flash a new radio or baseband but I can't find any info about that from any of the other threads I've read.
Any info at this stage would be great as it sucks having the 2nd best 4G speeds in the world and not being able to use them.
Cheers all.
EDIT: Resolved it by flashing KK modem/baseband. Thanks to JDr0iD for the suggestion. Turns out the KK and LP basebands are done differently. Figures considering the massive overhaul they've done with it. Anyway the modem can be found here - https://mega.co.nz/#!61QBVS5B!pa2xdGyeWAJKyAazkz9O8qc5b9hJOpxX5kaU_aFdjq4

Hey mate. Do you think modem is still linked to lollipop? Try another modem or restore EFS to see if makes a difference

think it might be an lteconfig issue?

Use only WCDMA and LTE networks, not GSM

Hello! I do not want to use GSM networks. I found "WCDMA only" in the phone settings, but I want accept LTE networks too. Who know how can I do this? My phone is rooted and have a custom recovery, firmware V20h. Thanks!

How to switch LTE bands on MM custom ROMs?

From my research on the subject, it seems that Google has seen fit to remove access to the hidden menu that allowed us to switch bands? I've been looking for a way to change it or access the menu for a month now, and come up with nothing. I live in India, and my provider is Airtel, which uses the 1800 and 2300 (maybe 2100 as well?) bands, both of which my D855 support. My mother's Xperia Z gets LTE just fine. I've switched the network to 'LTE only' in the Testing menu, but that just cuts off my connection to the network. It's usually set on the default, which is LTE/GSM auto (PRL), and which HSPAP works on perfectly fine. I don't know if it works on the stock ROM, because I switched ROMs before I got the connection. Currently running the crDroid 05.02.16 build. It's not worth switching back to stock just for LTE, but it is annoying to not get it when I should be able to.
So basically, I'm looking for answers to 2 questions:
1. How do I switch bands?
2. Will switching back to stock, switching bands, and then going back to crDroid work? Would the band change persist across flashes? I doubt it, but if that were possible, I'd be willing to do that.

Did you update the apn for your carrier when you went to a custom rom? if not do it first and check if it solve the problem.
if you did uptade the apn but it still not working try this: go in phone dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* ---> phone information scroll down you are going to see "Set preferred network type: (select the one you want).

Already set APN, and preferred network type is on LTE/GSM (PRL). My mother's Xperia Z has the same settings, and gets LTE just fine. Switching it to 'LTE only' makes me lose signal altogether.

the compatible band for D855 are LTE 700 / 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600 airtel in indian uses 1800/2300 bands. Thus your phone is compatible. Thus I assume the problem come from your phone and most probably you might want to flash the Modem ....
What i suggest you is to backup everything and try this rom for d855 http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/stock-d855-30b-images-kdz-flashables-t3282012
the modem is already in it. If it work your modem will already be flashed for marshmallow as a result switching back to your ROM will not affect the Lte compatibility.

Thanks! I'll try that when I have some time, but for now, I can't have my phone out of commission. I do have a TWRP of stock Lollipop; would restoring that be enough? That would be much faster, I could get that done in less than an hour. Or is KDZ flashing MM the only option?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Restored stock LP from TWRP backup, and tried changing the band. Tried bands 3, 5, and 40, but choosing any of them only results in the phone searching for a network and not finding any. When I set the RAT to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto, it reconnects and I get HSPA+. Switched back to crDroid soon after.
I'll try flashing the modem from the KDZ soon, and then the whole thing if that doesn't work.

did it work? was it a modem problem ?
Flashed the hybrid modem yesterday; nothing appears to have changed. [emoji29]
