Hello,
I have been using Samsung's brand of tablets and smartphones for several years. My first Samsung android device was the first generation of the Galaxy Tab P1000, and subsequently switched to Galaxy Tab P6200/6800, followed by Galaxy SIII and currently using NOTE II LTE N7105.
I would like to share some of my my experience with you:
1) Device casing with magnetic clip will cause your android sensors inaccurate,
2) Device casing in Black color will increase device overheating,
3) Update to the latest official firmware, as for NOTE II LTE N7105, the JB 4.1.2 lately released, try it as I tried and it is more stable and seldom get overheating,
4) For those devices which have been rooted, look for the specific kernel that will prevent overhearting,
5) The initial charging of your newly purchased device battery is very important, it must be charged at least 8 to 12 hours without turning it ON,
6) Visit these resources for further tips

Trying to not to turn on a newly acquired Note 2 for at least 8 hours while it charges is just impossible.

hmm. im looking for a custom rom that is 4.4+ that is compatible with the samsung galaxy gear. This article is just a review on the phone that i already have. I found that they do plan on releasing the 4.4 for the samsung note 2, but like the most of us we really can't wait for the "official release". Currently I am in the midst of modding some of the system apks to get what I want but it is a long slow process as I am just beginning to learn the how-to's.

Try DN3 ROM
You can try DN3 v3.1 for n7105 it is android version 4.3 with all features of note 3 and gear manager. Also if you are seeking kitkat version you can download DN3 4.4 but I think this version may be not supporting gear

I got very excited when i read this. Since I've had the note 2 I've always wanted note 3 features. Atlast I did a nandroid back up, cleared my data and other stuff..Then did my flash of DN3 4.3, The conclusion? It worked, sort of...Even though my phone booted up with out any problems the Spen wont work and It commands me give it a sim card for data. Oh well I'm going to try kk but i doubt there will be a difference. Thank you though
NOTE:Bad idea, after trying to go back to my old rom i am now dealing with a boot loop. Drivers are not working because they believe my phone is th 7100, anyways ill update when i get it fixed.

Samsung galaxy s4 mini gt i9195
Kernel 3.4.0-3173303
Android 4.4.2
I don't know if it's because of the cover (Spigen Liquid Crystal), but since I moved to the Note 7 from my previous S7 edge I need to move a lot the device to find the working NFC zone of it when doing a payment.
Therefore does anybody know where is the NFC chip EXACTLY located in the SM-N930FD?

seemed about mid back when I was using it, basically centre the back on the pay pad and it worked.

Greetings,
finally, I got new mainboard for my SG4 mini (meantime suffering from the curse of Meizu MX4 paddle) and I'm thinking about tweaking it a bit before putting it to full use.
So, since I have little to zero knowledge (except rooted Huawei Ideos X1), I would really appreciate any advice on how I can improve its function or which SW I should install on my desktop and pair it with my phone, etc.
There were some discussions back in 2016, but maybe something new emerged - after all, SG4 is one of the last one-handed-phone.

nothing much as changed. You need Odin and the Samsung drivers installed on your PC (widows). I'd then go for the official LineageOS ROM, white latest TWRP, if your model is supported by them both
