Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Screen Brightness issue - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently bought a Samsung tab s 8.4 and have noticed that the brightness randomly goes up and down, even though I have Auto-brightness turned off. I have done some research and supposedly it could be a loose battery/display cable. Just wanted to get some more feedback thanks

[Q] Galaxy Note II turning off with minor "impact"

Dear friends,
Recently my Galaxy Note II have been turning off with minor impact, and sometimes inside my pocket.
When I say "impact" i mean that if i put it on the table with a little less care, it will turn off.
If I 'tap' on its back specially when It's turning on, it will turn off.
Ive been taking pretty decent care of this phone and at least externally it looks intact. No scratches.
Any idea of what it could be or ideas of how I can at least temporarely solve this before getting a note 3?
All the best,
Dan

Samsung Note 3 Neo Duos dimming problem

The screen of my Note 3 Neo Duos (SM-N7502) which I bought last June 2014 is now dimming at random. My Neo is still on stock Rom and never rooted. Automatic Brightness is turned off and the Brightness is maxed out. The phone is relatively cool when it the screen starts to dim.
Anyone have similar experience with their Note 3 Neo Duos? The dimming doesn't happen very often but it gets to be irritating.
never heared of it
The dimming happens randomly?
Not in a particular time oftenly?
I.e. while charging?

Galaxy Tab Pro has faulty screen??

Hi there
I have a tab pro 8.4 and this evening I finally taken the screen protector off that has been on there since i bought it and now the screen has become unresponsive, and then if i wait it becomes responsive again??
I have wiped the tab and then with the problem still persisting I reinstalled the OS from KIES just to make sure that data was intact..but the problem still persists.
Me thinks it is knackered and needs to go back to Sammy for a check up, but before I have to contend with the hassle of that I wanted to throw it out there.

Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (P605) LCD Half displaying blank screen

Hi Guys. My Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 P605 LCD screen has completely gone bonkers. The youtube link shows a short video of exactly what is happening. It seems that the touchscreen and buttons all work fine.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fKhgnhzVqY
I'm curious if this is a bad LCD cable or something else. I've removed and reseated the LCD ribbon cable and after doing so a few times, I get a slightly different result to the screen each time. But never get any better than the video. I either get no screen at all, what you see in the video, or something in between that.
Any thoughts what could be the issue?

Disable PWM

PWM is a cheap way for manufacturers to implement lower brightness, by repeatedly turning the backlight on and off.
Unfortunately, for a lot of people, this causes eye strain and headaches.
Most (all?) AMOLED displays use PWM, including the Tab S.
There already is a PWM free kernel for S7 Edge here and it looks like it could be possible to do it on the Tab S too.
Is there a developer willing & able to do it for the Tab S?
Thanks.
I'am sensitive to PWM, but TAB S 10.5 does not cause eye problems for me. I can read for 12 hours on this tablet without any vision problems.
