I'm syncing my contacts from exchange on my OP3. When I connect my phone via BT with my car, the contacts are being synced, but both firstname and lastname are found under firstname in the car.
This isn't a big issue, but I can't sort my contacts in the car on Last Name (as this field is empty everywhere). I'm not sure if this is Oxygen OS or OP3 specific, but I didn't have the problem with the previous phone (Nexus 5).
Any ideas how I can sort this out ?

To foreclose: The board-search function delivered no significant results, because it is always a "<searchterm1> OR <searchterm2>" search
Example for my problem: I met a friend on a party, then I took a portrait-picture of him with my Artemis and then added this pic to his contact. Everything worked fine. Now I can the his face if he calls me (advantage / disadvantage? )
I went home and, connected my device and and let it sync with my PC. Everything sync's fine (as usual). But his picture won't sync to my Outlook contacts!
If I add a note to his contact on my Artemis, it will sync. But not the picture!?!?!? Why?

It does work, I have just tried to attach a pictures to one of my contact in Orbit, synced to outlook and the same contact in outlook is automatically updated with the same picture.
If this doesn't work then try the reverse engineering by copying the picture to the pc, make it small in size & dimension (as this could also be an issue) and then attach this picture to an outlook contact, then sync Orbit with outlook and check if it works other way round.

A friend of mine has just got a desire and is having problems syncing contacts to their 3 series. All contacts sync over fine - exept those that have contact pictures. The car does not recognise them.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Ive had this problem before and also with other phones, the BMW system works perfectly if you have contacts that fill standard fields. Things like pictures, notes etc can stop it from working, problem also occurs in VW and Audi.
The only thing you can do is remove all the extras in your contacts.

VW, Audi, BMW... All can't handle address books with data in non-standard fields.
My g/f's Ford Fiesta handles my address book without any problems
Using Samsung Focus, really like WP7 and this phone. Have facebook selected to only display information in contacts on people I already have in contacts. Works fine on phone.
Have a Garmin Zumo 550 GPS on my motorcycle, phone is bluetooth connected to GPS which is connected into intercom system on bike. GPS contacts shows all facebook people, not just the people in phone contact list.
I deleted FB from phone, turned on GPS and then only the contacts in my phone showed on GPS. Was really happy all those extra FB people were not in GPS contact list anymore.
Recreated FB account on phone with display only info on people already in contacts option selected, turned on GPS again, and all FB people showed up in GPS contacts. NOT HAPPY.
This is a WP7 problem. How can WP7 be stopped from sending FB people to GPS or other Bluetooth devices? (without the obvious, remove FB account from phone)
Anybody know to stop WP7 from sending all Facebook friends to contact list on a Bluetooth connected GPS?
Phone is set to only display Facebook friends info only on contacts already in phone, and it works on phone contact list but is sending all of my Facebook friends to list on Bluetooth device. Why?
it doesn't appear to be possible to stop it at present. Perhaps post this as an issue in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836373, and maybe bring it up on the social.microsoft.com?

I just got a car that has bluetooth. When I went to sync my phone, it used the PBAP profile and tried to sync my address book.
The problem is that I have about 2,000 entries in my address book, and the car has a limit of 1,000 entries. And, it seemed to just do a random selection. I really only need a small number in my car, but the car seems to only have options to sync the address book from a phone and to delete it from the car.
So, is there any way, on the EVO, to limit which contacts will get synced over bluetooth? For example, is there any way that I can just create a group of "important" contacts, and limit the sync with my car to just those?
I probably only need to do the sync once (or rarely anyway).
Any ideas?

i just owned a GN a few days ago. --> great phone!
i synced with outlook without any problems.
my contacts now apear like this on my GN:
Mr. lastname, firstname
Mrs. lastname, firstname
is there any way to hide the prefix "mr." or "mrs." ?
but: that's not the main problem.. (i can live with this "problem").
the main problem is: my car (Mercedes with bluetooth adapter) syncs this way too!
so if i look into the phone book at my car, everybody is stored in "M"-letter, because of the Sync "Mr." and "Mrs." !
any chance to change this behavior, or is it better to delete the prefix?
i didn't have this problem with WM6.5 on my HTC. everybody was stored/synced to my car on the Letter of his last name!

Just delete the prefix.
It's a lot easier to do from a browser on your PC - just log into your Gmail account online and update your contacts...
