Letv have posted a malware free ROM for the USA version of the x800.
https://sites.google.com/site/l1prousx800/
Has anyone installed this using twrp?
If so what was your procedure? Is it a straight forward flash?
Also has the ROM got Google apps included?
Thanks in advance.
It's f#cking failure It took 3 months to publish stock firmware (June 2015) been modified by sellers with malware and adware.

Hello. This is the old 5.0.2 BGXNAOP5501103071S without malwares ( according Letv ).
To install this old rom -( the CM 12.1 V.3 is better in my opinion ) - with out fault, you must change the updater script. How? without unzip the update.zip file though winrar or 7zip go on
ROM.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\ updater script (inside the update zip file)
open it with notepad++ and change- delete the all first line from:
getprop("ro.product.device") == "msm8994" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "x1_na" || abort("This package is for "x1_na" devices; this is a "" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "".");
to this : package_extract_file("splash.img", "/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/splash"); package_extract_file("bootvideo.img", "/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/bootvideo");
than saved as: 'All types (*.*) and drop it again back to ROM.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\ updater script and replace it.
Done. Save the update.zip with winrar or 7zip and flash it through TWRP. Don't forget to take a full backup first.

Thanks man, I appreciate the reply. I'm thinking I might just go with Cm 12.1 at this stage. If I'm flashing anyway I might as well.
I've read there are issues with sim slot 2 so I might need a nano sim first.
Yes, better not to bother with the official one, because it is useless.
However, maybe there still is hope for us, according to user @willngg.

I installed this official LeEco rom yesterday. It's simple and quick. There is no need to use TWRP or root your phone.
1) download file update.zip as is into the root directory of the phone storage (root directory means not in any folders)
2) power off phone
3) hold power and volume+up button at the same time to boot into recovery
4) select update
5) the update should take about a minute and the phone will reboot, and you're done.
After the update, you'll find your downloaded apps, photos, contacts, wi-fi, blue tooth and other settings untouched. However, the malware like "Ant Keyboard" and "Search Service" will be gone. In fact my licensed Kaspersky reports no threats. All the Google apps are still there. Now, the Youtube app can be updated. OTA updates are also now possible from an app icon and in settings. Everything seems to work fine except for Color Mode (which is no big deal). So, I don't know what 'bugs' people are talking about. I would be more worried about installing a third party rom that someone has tinkered with.

It should be the original official LeEco rom for the Le 1 Pro. The link to it came from LeEco technical support on Le forum/US. Also, I believe only the official roms can be installed in the way I described above. All third party roms require TWRP and root.

I also had some mallware in the US rom, virusscanner didn't like it ....
Just flashed official us version this morning. And it works great, and the mallware apps are gone.
Normaly I would go voor cm12 but cant find a 100% solid tut to flash it to my phone, so till that time I will keep running this official update without the mallware.

I am the owner of the Slim ICS for Nexus S ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1390118). I have compiled a light ROM for Xoom WiFi ( WIngRay).
NOTE: I don't own a Xoom. So i need some brave souls to be testers. Please consider this a work in progress
Completely built from sources, pure AOSP slimmed down.
Highlights:
5 Languages ( en ( us, uk), fr, it, de, es)
Stock ICS Launcher.
Basic Google Stuff Included ( Gmail, Talk, market,Calendar and Contacts)
rooted
Stock Kernel ( for now)
Slim base should result in increased free Ram
Removed Apps: ( Available via addon package)
DeskClock
Email
Exchange
Galaxy4
OpenWnn
PicoTTS
PinyinIME
QuickSearchBox
VideoEditor
Videos
The above coupled with the following mods/optimization has resulted in this light weight base ROM.
Trimmed down
languages,
fonts,
media,
tts,
xbin,
srec.
Disclaimer: The usual stuff, Flash at your own risk. I am not responsible if you brick your device, burn your device etc. This ROM might be most suitable for experienced users but everybody is welcome to use it.
If you want to test this, get the base (http://db.tt/XMwQWYtt), removed apps (http://db.tt/x4BaTHLj) and face unlock (http://db.tt/NzoWVTsY). Please make sure you do a nandroid backup before flashing and report your findings after flashing Cheers.
Pls test all the features and report. Need to have CWM recovery or another one that can flash zip files. If everything works, this should be among the fastest ROM around. It is for the nexus S.
Installation:
A simple wipe cache, dalvik and install should do it. If not do a wipe data, system and then flash.
I'm not very familiar with Slim roms. May I ask what you've removed from an AOSP to make it "slim"? I bet others would like if you listed it in the OP. Thanks!

First Post updated with removed apps list and other optimization which has helped slim the base Rom down significantly.
Edit: I just realized that i have accidently added phone.apk into the rom, shouldn't hurt anything but don't expect magic

yours is a wifi version of the Xoom right? if yes, you can remove that assert, code name for the wifi version is wingray, but may be not all devices are called that way. do you have a model numbe, if so i can add it to the updater script. In the mean time, whoever is flashing, as long as its the Wifi version, it should work fine, if you remove the asserts.

Alright it booted!
A few things I noticed right away:
nice and snappy, very light and fast rom!
However, camera does not work. Whether it's through the camera app or facelock, it says it cannot connect to the camer.
Also, a little aesthetic detail, the signals bars are still present in the botton status bar. Just kind of annoying for a wifi only tablet lol.
Can't wait to see future updates!
EDIT: to be clear, I did flash the faceunlock zip

Thanks for the feedback. Whats with the camera and the devices i don't own , camera doesn't work on Galaxy Nexus and this. I will do some digging. ANy chancec you can produce logcat, ( adb logcat). The signal is prob due to certain copy paste i did from my nexus s zip file, i am sure that can be fixed. What about Wifi? BT? Gmail syncs etc?

Changelog
05.Mar.2014
- initial release
06.Mar.2014 (update 1)
- new recovery (solved bug http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50862613&postcount=7) ; temporary disabled special button until I continue my work on recovery
- deodexed last 3 remaining jars (com.quicinc.cne.jar, cneapiclient.jar, com.playstation.playstationcertified.jar), now everything is deodexed
08.Mar.2014 (update 2)
- removed chrome browser
- AOSP browser
- patched fm radio without needs for headset
- cpu control and cpu stats in settings menu
11.Mar.2014 (update 3)
- replaced Supersu with Superuser
- chargemon init.d fix
- enabled real timestamp in converstations.apk (thanks to @Riyal)
- new CWM recovery with screenshoot feature
- removed mount submenu in CWM related to internal storage-to-pc mount since it is no supported on Z1C
12.Mar.2014 (update 4)
- solved digital clock widged
15.Mar.2014 (update 5)
- removed Superuser
- finaly I implemented my faforite app - LBE security from MIUI rom (not full working but you have full control for gaining advance permissions for every installed app! Remaining LBE thing which I need to implement is app startup control, hope I get them implemented soon), enjoy! To enable LBE root, open app and enable them in root menu (root is disabled by default)!
19.Mar.2014 (Z2 camera v2)
- camera update from Z2 (huge update from Z2) = added timeshift video and 4k video apks + shortcuts to the camera widget - now you can see these two apps (probably I will disable 4k video shortcut since these feature is not curently supported on Z1C until kernel for Z2 come public out so we can implement 4k support)! In new update there is now Z2 camera things like cameraui and camera3d, some needed libs... 4K video is only not working, probably because missing 4k implementation kernel side...etc. I have noticed better camera + some new video formats, better ui, better camera focus, better picture, better graphics, new efects, new video and photo editor, movie creator, better widget...etc, for sure better than Z1C cam!
04.Apr.2014 - 06.Apr.2014
- Messing with stupid chargemon script to get full root on booth locked and unlocked bootloaders

Yes, curently I downloading rom to my server, tomorrow will be a direct link!
Ooooooooooooooooooooook!
First Test of the ROM
So, I installed the ROM and up to now almost everything works nicely. Especially the Power button menu is perfect!
There are just two small nuisances that I've discovered yet:
Firstly, the CWM asks to install root permissions every time you reboot to system, which is a bit stupid of course, as the system-partition is pre-rooted. No big problem at all, but maybe it can be fixed.
And secondly and more important: on the normal swipe-lockscreen, the digital clock widget doesn't work. Every other widget works, but if I choose the standard clock, it says widget can't be added. Maybe the apk is missing?
Greetings and big thumbs up for starting the development on this nice little device!
I am sure widget bug is related to the apktool. I have sent a message to the maintainer of the apktool, hope hi solve.
Recovery bug is solved, simple read first post (there is a download link), download update_1, install update... see changelog on 3.rd post, enjoy! Tnx for feedback!
Best note ever!!
Note:
- I not like and not using any mod like Xposed Framework...etc, all my roms is based on "native" modifications !

No, mine recovery is not dual, mine recovery is CWM based recovery latest from CM11, if you realy have a problem installing rom - simple open zip, go to META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script, extract updater-script, open updater-script with notapad+ texteditor or with pspad text editor and remove folowing lines:
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "D5503" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "D5503" ||

Hi, check your message please.
Thanks for the Kingo tip, worked fine here using the app from what looks like the official site : http://www.kingoapp.com/android-root.htm
One thing I'm struggling with is using the External SD Card. I've selected it as the "Default Write Disk" in /settings/storage but that doesn't seem to do anything, i.e. app are not using it to save data there. Am I missing something obvious ?
I now have a rooted colorfly g708. Kingo app works! For those who are desperately googling and not finding answers haha.

Yes, i have same problem with SD card . One of the Problem is the Kit Kat permission with SD cards (just Google it ) The guys from 4PDA forum working on solution. We need recovery and then replace internal/external cards.

The other problem we have so far is the OTA Update.
If you have EN ROM : G708 Oc_SV1.00_KV1.0_20150121_EN There is NO OTA Update.
But people who has ROM without EN in the end , They Got OTA Update to version G708 Oc_SV1.2_KV1.0_20150122 This OTA Update package is 74mb. and can be update from tablet. If some who download latest OTA Update package please share it.
Also i am looking forward to MIUI6 5.1.13 ROM for our tablet
Yes Memory/SD Card Management is a mess in Kit Kat but there's an additional bug on the G708 I believe because on my Moto G/4G I can choose the SD Card as a path for apps that use maps for instance. Hope some bright brains can figure that out in the future!
Any good enhancements to do once you're rooted? Like removing the useless screen capture "soft" button maybe? So far I've only used it for ClockSync for the NTP synching of the clock.
I contact with Colorfly support about OTA Update for EN Roms. I hope that they will assist us.
About the screenshot button, i read that cannot be remove, but will see.
For me The Best option for our tablet is MIUI6 ROM. So far I can't find upload of that MIUI ROM in any English site. May be i will make reg. Here to download the ROM http://bbs.colorful.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6488
Hopefully you will hear back from them quickly.
I used the "market helper" app to get access to all the "market" apps but I'm getting a "Missing shared library" error on quite a few apps. Some googling seems to indicate it might be Google Maps related but Maps is definitely available on the G708 so I'm not sure why. Anyone know if there is a workaround? Thanks!
I got a answer from Colorfly support.
They told me that so far, there is No Official sale in Europe, thats why there is No OTA Update for _EN ROM !
Also they Give me Download Tools MTK and Image: G708 Oc_SV1.02_KV1.0_20150122
Here is Download links : http://download.colorful.cn/shuma/Tools/MTK.rar

I instal Custom Recovery TWRP with Rashr - Flash Tool , also if you want to change your SD card to internal one use this image https://cloud.mail.ru/public/2c7a2f8b61bf/boot-new.img and flash your Kernel from Storage option in Rashr ( google Play Store )
Finally we got Two Roms from our China Friends: [ G708 Oc ] MIUI6_5.1.13. ( beta ) and [ G708 Oc ] YunOS_3.0.2
Download [ G708 Oc ] MIUI6_5.1.13. ( beta ) https://cloud.mail.ru/public/319702f55443/miui_g708_5.1.13_4.4.zip

Dont Forget to make Full Back up of your Tablet, before start to make experiments or flash. You are making everything on your own. I am Not responsible if any damage is done to your device
Hadn't seen your updated post, thanks for sharing! I'd be interested in switching "internal storage" with the SD Card at some point, this doesn't reset the device completely does it? Will download Rashr, can a full backup be done with it?
Any idea how we can fix the "missing shared library" problem and install apps like Garmin Connect or GPStrackerSMS? I think all the problematic apps rely on some Google Maps libraries...
hi,
thanks for this post and these shared !
i will try this rom.
if not, do you know if it is possible to extend the system partition ? 1 go i very small and with many apps installed, i have got only 53 mo on free. Maybe it is possible to regorup partition systeme and data on a 8gb partition ?
many thanks

1. With Rashr you install Custom Recovery ( TWRP ) and in the menu of recovery you make Full Backup.
2. No, Sorry

I dont know, but Google it you may find a answer
!!ATTENTION!!
As Google recently changed how the device_profile files are located, these steps below do NOT work anymore. There are only two options you can choose from which you can follow and read about here
#I'll not be responsible for anything that happens to your device when you follow these steps#
If you don't know what ARCore is read this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARCore
After you understand what ARCore is for then continue reading.
@Arnova8G2 has made a flashable zip with support for our device.
AR Stickers download https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Uvspxje-myBIKIeDHfgMpZ4Uv_o5ZFYL
Installation steps:
1. Install original arcore linked below
2. Reboot to TWRP
3. Install twrp-Patch-ARcore-for-all-device.zip
4. Reboot to system
Zip download here. This method is still under testing, so the original method is still shown below.
Step 1. Download ARCore from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...se/arcore-1-4-180716096-android-apk-download/
Step 2. Install an app that use ARCore. If you're lazy, you can use this https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-creative-lab/just-a-line-draw-anywhere-with-ar/
Step 3. Open the app you installed in step 2 and let it crash. This will make the folders and files that we're going to use later on.
Step 4. Download the file named device_profile_vince.textproto.txt at the end of this post and rename the file to device_profile_vince.textproto
Step 5. Using root explorer, copy the file you just renamed to /data/data/com.google.ar.core/files/device_profile_database2 and change SE context by selecting the file you just copied and press the three dots. Then select Restore default context and then press OK.
Step 6. Now you can use any apps that require ARCore!:victory:
NOTE: If you updated ARCore repeat step 3 to step 5
Tested on my vince running AEX and havoc os with omnivision sensor
Not really necessary anymore as we've Arnova8G2's flashable zip but I'll keep it here anyways
During the steps above, you probably saw a bunch of files in /data/data/com.google.ar.core/files/device_profile_database. One file is for one device or another variant of the same device. These files come from the manufacturers or Google themselves for the devices that officially ARCore.
Unfortunately, vince, like a lot of other devices, don't officially support ARCore, so some of these files maybe more compatible with vince but I don't have time to test them all. So if anybody have extra time, you can help me find out which one of these files is best suited for our device. You just have to rename the file you want to test to device_profile_vince_.textproto(the _ is to make sure you don't accidentally replace the original device_profile_vince.textproto file) and rename the original device_profile_vince.textproto to device_profile_vince.textproto.bak
If you believe you've found a file that's better than the one on the OP, then please tag me and post the file name in this thread and I'll test it to see if it's better before adding it to the OP

FAQ:
Q:Why (insert app name) can't detect surface?
A:Find a surface that's not shiny or white color. Surfaces that are textured and have sufficient lighting can help. Sometimes a reboot can help too
Q:Why can't I install all apps that use ARCore in play store?
A:They're supposed to be only for devices that officially support ARCore. If you want to use them on vince, download using apkmirror
Q:Why ARCore still isn't working on MIUI even after I followed all the steps?
A:This could be because that MIUI is heavily modified from stock Android so a lot of things aren't working on it.
Q:Why isn't AR Stickers working?
A:Use this version Download, (MIRROR). Thanks to @Arnova8G2 for this

Hi.
Thank you for your hard work.
Can I know if potentially all arcore's app can work on Vince?
I am asking this because I'm fully stock and I would like to know for root it.

All apps that use ARCore should work except for ARStickers, which you've to use the one linked in the FAQ. It's the only app so far I tested that needs to be modded to work.
Deer developer tried every step describe by you on miui costum rom wash n dish by Jerome-X but not worked any AR core based software always it is saying that device is not supported check the screen shots.

I wish Venice could support the AR core
Really good work done by you to enable this feature.
May be I am getting error due to miui
Mhhh... Weird.
I must wait 110 hours until unlock my bootloader... Damn.
Anyway.
I developed some app with Google tango.
And yes, the problem can be the Android version also.
Arcore works on few models with Android nougat. If you use a smooth vanilla 8.0 it can works (maybe).
If someone wants to try, please, try this app (now I can't because the bootloader),

Hmm, that's weird, it should work for nougat ROMs too. Maybe because MIUi is heavily modified

Yes I followed the instructions, and all the app (I tested 3 app) does not work (included the area stickers and yours in the guide).
I did also the last modify with root explorer... But I have the same problem of irfan

Hi, I can't speak English, so I'm using Google translator. Sorry if there are any wrong words.
My Rog 6 is the tencent version with the Global room, it came with version WW-32.2810.2206.95 since then the Twin Apps never worked, I updated the device to version WW-32.2810.2206.97 and it still didn't get the app. I updated to version WW-32.2810.2207.134 and it still doesn't work.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Try this solution - works (tried & tested) for ROG phone 3:
Regarding ZenUI's Twin App
Is there a way to add custom apps into it? The app they have that are available for Twin Apps is really limited, I would like to add my own:)

I tried this solution, but I was not successful. I just wish I could duplicate whatsapp...
Are you sure you followed all the steps?
Pasted from the link: (essentially, just modify your existing twinapps. xml file)
1.Download file twinapps_required_apps.xml
給 ZenUI 4.0 之後應用分身使用的 app 支援設定檔
給 ZenUI 4.0 之後應用分身使用的 app 支援設定檔. GitHub Gist: instantly share code, notes, and snippets.
gist.github.com
Remember, you must download the file from right corner "Raw" button, do not press "download zip" to download or copy and paste the strings from the link
2.Find out the app package name that you want to add , As the example from the tutorial, they choose "GoShare" as an example, you can check its package name from the website version Google play, the hyperlink after "id=" is its' package name.
For Example "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gogoro.goshare"
"com.gogoro.goshare" is the package name.
3.Edit the downloaded twinapps.xml. Find out this string from the file "<string-array name="twinapps_required_apps">" (for apps)
or <string-array name="twinapps_required_apps_games">(for games). Added

in the front and after the package name. For example if you want to add "Goshare" in the app list, it should be
com.gogoro.goshare
. Add it after
com.imo.android.imoim|imo free video calls and chat
. And Save the file.
4 Connect your phone to your pc and use adb to push the edited twinapps.xml into your phone adb push twinapps.xml /sdcard/.
5 After pushed the xml file to your file, use this command to update the twinapps list
adb shell am startservice -a "asus.intent.action.TWINAPPS_CDN_FILE_UPDATE" -d "file:///sdcard/twinapps.xml" --ei "ACTION" 1 com.asus.twinapps/.TwinAppsService.
