Tronsmart Presto: The new 12000 mAh Quick charge 3.0 powerbank - ZenFone 2 Accessories

Our new smartphone is more powerful everyday, but we just can’t put a big battery in a small and slim device, so they invented PowerBank.
Tronsmart is one of the first manufacturer to introduce Quick charge 3.0 PowerBank, they named it “Presto”, it’s powered by 12000 mAh battery which can charge up to 4 times for our Zenfone 2. Sadly, this powe rbank supports QC 3.0 but our device can only charge with QC 2.0.
Tronsmart Presto Specifications:
Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0: Up to 4x faster than standard chargers, able to charge compatible devices to 80% in just 35 minutes. Backwards compatible with all versions of Qualcomm Quick Charge.
Type-C Input and Output: Use it to quickly recharge the 12000mah external battery, or to power your Nexus 6p/5x with USB-C/Type-C ports.
Remarkably Compact: Much smaller than other high-capacity portable chargers. No other charger packs this many recharges at such high speed into such a small space.
Stylish, Practical & Safe: Smooth ebony varnish with 4-LED battery level indicator, 100% safe circuit protection; charger automatically shuts down if short circuit or overload occurs to protect your devices.

2. Tronsmart Presto Power Bank:
The power bank is made from all plastic, with black color and solid build. I really like this over Xiaomi Power Bank because the Mi Powerbank is easy to get dirty as there is a lot of dust in my place.
On the front of the Tronsmart Presto power bank, you will see a Tronsmart logo and 4 stylist battery level indicator white LED.
On the back, you will see some technical informations about the output and input of the power bank. Here is a closer look:
On the top, there are two port, the USB 3.0 port is for output only, but the USB-C port you can use it for both output and input (to charge your devices or to charge your powerbank).
The power bank comes with one 30cm length USB-C and USB 3.0 cable, the cable is solid too.
On the side, you can find the power button, you have to put it to power on the Tronsmart Presto before use (not like Mi Powerbank, you just put the device in and it will automatic charge your device!).
3. Charging Zenfone 2 with Tronsmart Presto.
I’m using Zenfone 2 with Anker cable to test Tronsmart Presto power because Zenfone 2 doesn’t support USB-C.
I started charge the device from 3%, and it took 10 minutes to charge from 3% to 17%.
I got 20% in 13 minutes. There is not much heat as QC 2.0 charger.
I got 41% in 29 minutes.

I got 58% in 42 minutes.
I got 79% in 1 hours and 2 minutes, the phone is now charging at normal mode to extend the battery life.
I got 89% in 1 hours and 16 minutes.
The phone is now fully charged at 1 hours and 48 minutes.
4. Summary
Pros
Solid build.
One of the first QC 3.0 compatible power bank for fastest charging speed.
Not much heat generated while charging.
Cons
Not much accessories.
A bit boring design.

Thanks for the review!

Review of Anker Astro2 (2nd gen) 9000 mAh external battery w/pics!!!

This is a review of Anker Astro2 (2nd generation) 9000 mAh external battery: http://www.ianker.com/product/79AN7903-BA
Just a short while ago Anker introduced their next gen Astro3 battery. Following it's footsteps now comes next gen of Astro2 with all new design details introduced in Astro3 but in scaled down version of it. Some might argue it has a reduced capacity and one less charging usb port in comparison to Astro3, while the price difference is not that significant. So why would someone choose one over the other? Let's find out.
First of all, I'm glad to see how Anker switched to all new packaging across all of their latest products, using environmentally safe recycled material and minimum amount of plastic. The battery itself uses a nice soft touch rubbery material that will not leave any fingerprints and gives you non-slippery grip. The shape of the battery has rounded off edges and is very comfortable to hold. With my measured dimensions of 105mm x 60mm x 23mm and reduced weight down to 7.7 oz (218 g) - this battery is relatively light and very pocket friendly. It comes with micro-usb input capable of 1.2A charging rate for a faster charging of the battery itself, and 2 full size usb charging ports one labeled as Smart Output with 2.4A max charging speed and another one labeled as Universal Output able to support up to 3A of charging current. Per confirmation from Astro3 which also has Smart Output with 2.4A - that port will charge your latest iPad at max speed! Universal Output will be able to support any latest smart phone with a full 2A charging speed. Both ports can be used simultaneously for a combined charge output of 3A. I have verified charging my Note 2 at 2A and Nexus 7 at approximately 1A charging speed simultaneously. In addition you also get micro-usb cable, 30-pin apple adapter, and a very nice mesh storage bag.
Just like with Astro3, this new Astro2 uses a 10-segment led indicator which breaks down charging capacity in increments of 10% instead of typical 4-led batteries with 25% increments. The led lights are not visible until you shake the battery to reveal remaining segments. While you charging battery itself, those will stay up indicating charging progress. What sets this 2nd gen battery apart from so many other external batteries available today is the efficiency. As I mention in all of my ext battery reviews, the labeled capacity is not the actual capacity because you loose energy during conversion through usb output port. Typical ext battery looses on average 30-35% thus you are getting only 2/3 of the actual capacity. The new 2nd gen of Astro3 and Astro2 have 80% efficiency, thus you are loosing only 20%. I was able to confirm that with multiple charges an average of 78% which is close to advertised 80%. It means that you should have no problem getting 7000 mAh from this battery.
Overall, in my conclusion I want to make a point about Astro2 vs Astro3. Both are fantastic batteries with innovative design and very impressive efficiency. One has higher capacity and additional usb charging port while the pricing is very close in comparison, especially with the latest Back-to-School sale on Astro3. So why would you choose Astro2 over Astro3? The deciding factors are the size/weight/portability. If you need to carry your ext battery in a pocket or a smaller purse - Astro2 will be the way to go. Just look at side-by-side pictures. That's what it really comes down to.
Here are the pictures.

Overview
I recently got a Kmashi 15000mAh battery pack and I have been loving it. 15 Ah is a lot of juice for all devices I have, and I can always count on this to have some juice left. It is not just the numbers that amazed me, but I have used it for days without my charger with me. I can charge my OnePlus one and Galaxy Note 8 twice, and still have juice left to charge my iPhone and S6. This is an amazing product for people who travel a lot.
Specifications
Capacity - 15000mAh or 55.5Wh
Input - 5V/2A
Output 1 - 1amp 5V
Output 2 - 2amp 5V
Size - 81*156*21mm
Weight - ~450g
Real world performance
I have used this battery pack with two phones. I took screenshots of the battery input received from this battery pack. The first image is for OnePlus One and the other is for Galaxy S6. The battery pack doesn't support quick charge 2.0 and the maximum output is not as high as I expected it to be. The input rate measured was lower than the listed output on the battery specs section, but it definitely charged the devices pretty quickly; so, I am not complaining.
Experience
I have always wanted a battery pack that wouldn't die on me when I need it the most. I have had a 5000mAh and even a 10000mAh battery packs before this and they would die on me after two devices max. If I have to remember to charge my battery packs too, then I know for sure it is not working for me. I got this 15000 mAh battery pack from Kmashi in hopes of getting a battery pack that I can throw in my bag and forget about it. The battery in this is huge, and there is minimal loss of battery when the battery is not being used; therefore, this battery pack will keep on going with you. I have travelled with this device and my OnePlus One without my charger for 3 days, and I never missed my charger.
For all the travel lovers, keep in mind it is not a small or thin device. It is almost 3 times thicker than an iPhone 6. It is a heavy product, which you might not wanna carry in your pocket. It has 2 USB ports, but that has a catch. When you use both the USB ports together, the battery outputs a total of 2 amps, which means 1amp from each port.
In order to charge this battery pack, I used a 2.1 amp USB wall adaptor (not included in the box). The battery pack takes almost one night to charge from zero to full. It is not easy to sleep with this charging beside your bed, as it's blinking LEDs are very bright. They can brighten up a room more than any night lights you have seen. Putting an electric black tape on them while the device is being charged is a good solution.
Pros
Large capacity battery
Feel and finish is all plastic but doesn't creek
2 USB Port to charge
Cons
LEDs are very very bright
Scratches easily
Long charging time
No Quickcharge 2.0 support

There is not much to talk about the packaging, it’s simple and environment friendly. At the back of the package, we can find their company address, phone number and email for support.
Inside the package, we will have a charger, 2 USB cables, 1 manual, 1 VoltIQ sticker.
Here are our charger, naked.
Yes, there is also a manual for a charger, in case you don’t know how to charge your devices, you can open this manual, they will show you.
Let’s take a closer look at the charger. At the front of the charger, we can find Tronsmart logo, a small indicator light.
At the back, we can find the charger specifications, as we can see, it can charge at 5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 15V/1.5A for each ports.
More fancy images
Let’s do the test, I will use a usb detector to monitor the charger voltage and ampere, this detector can monitor up to 9V/5A, and I will use my Zenfone 2 to test this charger which can charge maximum at 9V/2A so I think the detector will survive.
More fancy images
I will charge my phone from 10% to 100%, and monitor via Asus stopwatch app, as for new software update, Asus has changed how fast charge works, they will limit the ampere to 0.83A when the screen is on, and can only charge at maximum when the screen is off.
It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to completely charged Zenfone from 10% to 100%, the phone itself would limit the ampere to 0.35A when it reached 90% so we could charge faster with full ampere.
So here are some pictures of the test.
Let's get started.
The phone is increasing the ampere when the screen is off.
It took 6 mins to charged 16%.
10 minutes to 22%.
23 minutes to 39%.
35 minutes to 52%.
54 minutes to 75%.
From this time, my phone was limited the ampere to normal charging, which took more time to fully charged. It took 1 hour 25 minutes to reach 93%.
1 hours 30 minutes to reach 96%.
And finally, the phone phone was fully charged in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Conclusion
This is a great fast charger with a great build quality, solid USB cable for long time usage, build-in 2 quick charge 2.0 ports so you can charge 2 devices at the same time.
The only disadvantage from the charger is the temperature when you charge 2 devices at the same time, it’s really hot, I don’t have any device to monitor the temperature, but it was very hot when I touch the charger.
For the price of $21.99 USD, this is the best charger in its price range and a good alternative for original Asus BoostMaster charger which costs about $29.99 USD. You can buy this charger at.

Hello, I just want to know whether this charger is backwards compatible. Means if I have phone with no quick charge, 5v 2A input will it work..??
Regards
I'm more interested in that voltage ampere indicator/detector
Where can I buy that?

Tronsmart Titan: The best charger for your home and smart devices.

Quick Charge 2.0 becomes the standard for charger nowaday, and Tronsmart got a charger with 5 QC 2.0 ports (18W each port and 90W in total output), that is a huge charger and they named it “Titan”.
This is the best charger I’ve ever used as it comes with five QC 2.0 ports which can charge 5 devices at the same time, it got a solid build and even with 5 devices charging at the same time, there is still no heat (even their old QC 2.0 products still generated a lot of heat when charging).
Here is same tech spec I took from their website:
Powerful:Total 90W for 5 ports, 18W for each port. The most powerful desktop USB charger for family and office use ever.
Featured with the latest 2 in 1 charging chip. Design both Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and smart detective technology in one chip.
Safety guarantee. Built with industry grade materials and premium circuitry, fully protect against over-current, overcharging and overheating for safe and fast charging.
That looks very promisely, if you still curious about this “Titan” you can took a look at: http://www.tronsmart.com/products/tronsmart-uc5f-90w-5-ports-usb-desktop-charger (You can also find where to buy it online here too).

In the front of the box, we can find the product name, model and its picture.
At the back of the box, we can find more informations here, we got their address, mail and phone number. Some useless copyright informations too.
Inside the box, the charger took 3/5 of the box inside, leave a small place for AC cable, sadly, there is no USB cable for this “Titan”, it would be more great if they could give us 5 USB cable for the “Titan”.
Here is our “Titan” stand alone.
Unlike other Tronsmart chargers, there is no manual too, but we got 2 stickers inside the box.
2. The charger.
Front with the Tronsmart logo.
Back with some detail, tech spec.
Here is our 5 QC 2.0 ports, those ports are solid built.
We got a on/off switch and AC port.
Small indicator light at the corner.
Here is the AC cable
Some fancy picutres of the "Titan"
3. Quick test with Zenfone 2:
As usual, I will start charging from 10% with my Zenfone 2, I will use Stop watch on Zenfone to count the time, it's displayed as small text on lock screen.
It took 7 minutes 27 seconds to reach 20%.
It took 20 minutes 15 seconds to reach 35%.
It took 30 minutes 03 seconds to reach 46%.
It took 53 minutes 31 seconds to reach 75%. The phone is charing at normal speed to extend the battery life, this is ASUS Zenfone 2 feature?
It took 1 hour 2 minutes 24 seconds to reach 81%.
It took 1 hour 16 minutes 14 seconds to reach 91%.
It took 1 hour 30 minutes 14 seconds to reach 95%. The phone is lowering the charging speed to extend the battery life.
It took 1 hour 44 minutes 01 seconds to fully charged our phone.
4. Conclusion.
This is the great charger I've ever used, it won't heat even with 5 devices charging at the same time, and it's cheap. I recommend to buy this charger.
Tronsmart Is a good brand, several weeks ago I bought one charger of this brand the model that have only two USb ports and it is excellent for a fast charging I recommend this brand.
Great review, thanks for the tip. Btw the slower charging above 75% is natural with batteries due to the design. They charge very quickly in the bottom half of their capacity but as they approach full the chemical reactions slow basically because there's less room for the electrons to move about (simplest explanation). I'm no expert, just took a few engineering classes in college. It would be cool if they made this charger with wireless on the top, but that would make it a lot more expensive probably.
I have a different version of this. I've never really used it tho haha

Unboxing (QC 2.0 on the left, QC 3.0 on the right)
Luckily I had the oppurtunity to compare both devices, so you’ll see both variants.
Both versions come with an eco-friendly packaging and basic accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x Power Plug (mine is an European Version), 1x User Manual, 1x Warranty Card and the Charger (of course).
As regards the Charger, it is made of Plastic, pretty solid but with glossy sides that can be scratched easily, handle it with care. No Chassis differences are there between the two versions, so it makes me think that the only difference is related to the internal motherboard.
There are 5 USB Ports available, and one of them supports Quick Charge (depending on the model you choose, it can be QC 2.0 or QC 3.0). The other USB ports supports Standard 5V output, just with another technology called “AIO” from AUKEY that works on the voltage depending on the attached device. It seems to work pretty fine, without voltage issues. Follow my next paragraph to know more.
As regards the size, this is probably the smaller Multi-Port Charger I have ever tried, super-compact.
Efficiency
All tests have been done using AUKEY’s Cables, in order to get maximum efficiency and to avoid any possible issue.
First of all, I have tested the “AIO” USB Ports using my USB Capacitor (1A/2A), and it is clearly noticeable that there are no issues at all. Stable Voltage.
In order to show you differences between the two Quick Charge versions, I want to show this image (found on the net) first.
So, as you can read, Quick Charge 3.0 uses Dynamic Voltage (starting from 3.2v up to 20v), while Quick Charge 2.0 uses 3 Voltage Steps (5v-9v-12v).
Let’s start with the Quick Charge 3.0 variant, as soon as I have plugged my QC 3.0 power bank, the charger reduced its voltage from 5v to 3.3v, then it gradually increased. At 5V it was able to handle more than 3.5A! That’s even higher than Official Quick Charge spec.
After a while, the voltage increased again, now to 7.24v with 2A load more or less. And so on, up to 12V.
With the Quick Charge 2.0 variant, as soon as I have plugged the power bank, the voltage increased from 5V to 9V, but just for a little while, then it instantly increased to 12V with more or less 1.8A load.
The difference is clearly noticeable, and it is also clear that QC 3.0 version is much more advanced than the previous version. This doesn’t mean that QC 2.0 isn’t good, but it is just different and less efficient.
Conclusions
As always AUKEY accessories are quality-made, efficient and cheap enough. It’s a pity that they choose to use a glossy surface on the sides, but there are no other negative aspects.
So...do I recommend it? If you need to charge multiple devices, and if you have a Quick Charge device, then...Yes. Be careful to choose the right variant depending on your device’s CPU, or just go for the Quick Charge 3.0 variant to avoid mistakes and to be futureproof.
Pros:
- Qualcomm Quick Charge Support
- Compact and Solid
Cons:
- No Power LED
- Useless Glossy Sides

I bought the 3.0 version and it's great. It's constantly plugged in, charges all my usb devices (garmin forerunner, lezyne bike led light, smartphone etc) and it doesn't get hot.
Plus it's ready when I replace my phone for something with qualcomm quick charge
Great little charger for a very reasonable price.
PA-T15 Port failed
Hi All, bought one of these though Zapals one of the 5 ports failed 2 weeks after i started using it.
Came complete with AUKEY warranty card in original unopened packaging. Went to AUKEY website for warranty and found out they only provide warranty on items purchased direct from them or through Amazon.
Zapals has a 6 month warranty only and you have to ship the lot back at your expense for them to consider that. I am anm overseas customer so its a cost, inconvenience and disappointment.
Poor service by Aukey i would say.
