Hello guys,
so recently if you haven't heard Pokemon Go was released and of course as a huge fan I want to play it. But it requires 4.3 or higher. So i want to upgrade my 4.2.2 to 4.4.2. I went to wikipedia to see if it has an official upgrade and it says it has but not in all regions,(The S4 mini got the android 4.4.2 'KitKat' update on June 2014 (though not in all regions), bringing some minor UI changes as seen on the Galaxy S4 and S4 Active.) and I tried from my phone to search for an update but it says there is not one so I guess I'm not from those regions . So is there a way to manually upgrade to 4.4.2 ? The model number is GT-19195.
Thank you.
Region is not important. You can download and flash official firmwares in sammobile.
Be sure that you have backup before flashing firmware. Because you can lost your data

Thank you.
I recommend to not update!
4.4.2 is the worst update ever for s4 mini
1.Terrible battery
2.Bad performance

Hey Guys
I'm a Newbie in Android stuff
I've Got a Note 10.1 2014 edition today and I was under the impression that the KK 4.4.2 update has been rolled out for it. read about it and watched a couple of KK video reviews. but now I see that it was P605 the LTE version!
unfortunately I bought the 3G version SM-P601 with the Baseband version of : P601XXUBMJ8 supposed to be for UAE I guess! not sure...
I checked in the firmware section in samsung website and saw that for some P601 devices like Indian versions, the 4.4.2 update is out!
is it possible for me to get those on my device without having to root?! and if yes, how?!
tnx in advance
Did you try the ota update check on your tablet? What does it say? I had to run the update from my pc. You can try that too. If both oc this fails you can update via odin if you can get your hands on the update file ... Usually a zip file.

yea, I checked on both PC an Tablet updates both said the firmware is up to date!
I can download the zip file for other basebands, but I'm afraid flashing that would cause problems...
anyone can guide me what to do?
and this is from samsung firmware website
I Guess I can download Indian or Chinese 4.4.2 but can I have it on my tab with odin with no problem?
Ok! I can't post the image!

Hi! So, I bought this tablet a couple of weeks ago from one of the biggest electronics sellers in my country (SCAN Malta), and I haven't been able to update to the latest firmware (4.4 Kitkat, currently I'm on 4.3 JB). I tried to do this both OTA and through Kies, however I cannot seem to find information anywhere if there are some specific region models who have not received this update yet.
My tablet is an SM-P605 LTE edition (16gb) Wifi. My second question concerns the fact that I cannot seem to record videos at 60fps I am sure that I didn't get a counterfeit, but is there a way to check the genuinity of my purchase?
Hi there
What is the exact rom that it is currently on? What rom have you downloaded and tried to flash? You need to specify further details.

Thanks for the reply. I did not download any roms, I am trying to update normally without rooting and it's telling me that the latest updates/firmware has already been installed. As far as I'm aware kitkat is already out for this device through normal firmware updates.
My baseband version is P605xxubmj4

I can't get 60FPS either even after the KK update. Either it's not enabled in the ROM or it just doesn't exist on the P605.
If it's running 4.3 and you are awaiting 4.4.2 then you just have to wait until the rom is released in your country of residence. KK has not yet been released globally, peple such as myself have flashed the rom to have the latest OS.

Download triangle away from the play store and reset flash counter.
Fully unroot using Supersu. Then upgrade via software update or Kies.
Press thumps up if you found this suggestion helpful.

If your device is not carrier locked, you can install any version of firmware, also of another country (you can change language later). Do it via odin.
You can install a stock version or a modded one (Dn3, dr.ketan or other in this section).

If your phone includes two sims, it belongs to China region. It has to be Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Duos GT-N7102.
In that case, unfortunately, you can only upgrade to 4.3 official stock ROM.
There should be a 4.4.2 based ROM available. But my best guess is that it is in Chinese language. So don't know what to suggest.
If it is GT-N7100, you will be spoilt for choice.

I dont think official lollipop is /will be available for any of the galaxy s4 mini models. I would advise you to go to sammobile.com and look for the latest firmware for your device(Region specific) and download it. It will be the latest one and it will also serve as a backup official firmware. There after you can root your device(or do any other experiments for that matter), if something goes wrong there is a backup to fall back on.
