What is my original CID? - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I bought a HTC One M9 on Ebay and the seller just told me that he changed the CID to a SuperCID and forgot the old one.
The phone originally was bought in a Vodafone Store in Germany so normally the CID should be VODAP102, but are there also "black sheep" where you get for example a UK-device (I mean with a english CID) in Germany (especially because VP is from the UK) or does EVERY devices that VP sells in Germany have the CID VODAP102 and how could they do that?
Would appreciate answers

Expansys grey import - version of ROM and SPL

Hi All
May need to return my Expansys B stock HTC Diamond, I've upgraded to a different SPL/ROM, and need to revert back. However, cannot remember what the original ROM/SPL was :-(
Can anyone shed any light on which versions of ROM/SPL I should revert to?
Also, how can I tell if my Diamond is a grey import ? Serial number is not registering on the main HTC site, but the phone came with a standard UK charger.
Thanks!
My expansys was purchased and was the version 1.34
ROM was originally 1.34 for me too.
You'll find the original spls in post 39 of thread "Hard-SPL - Developer Edition"
Edited: Serial was not accepted on UK site, but was accepted on the hong kong site. Also HK use the same three pin connection as UK
http://www.asia.htc.com/HTC_HKEN/member/login.aspx
There are different versions of the SPL - which one goes with 1.34?
Thanks!
My Expansys Grey Import
My Diamond was bought from expansys at the end of May and registers on the htc hong kong site but not english one.
Phone came with UK charger and manuals etc.
Came with
ROM version 1.34.831.1 WWE
ROM Date 05/25/08
Radio Version 0.93.25.NS16
Protocol Version 52.24.25.08H
Just if this helps anyone go back to original ROM
spl-1.34.nbh
see the thread on hard developer edition for more info on how to do this, not done this myself.

[GUIDE] - Software build versions

Thought I'd knock this up as a lot of people don't know about the meaning of the software versions that come on their handset. I'm going to cover the UK networks but if others can chime in with their version/carrier I can update this post...
Basically, you have a software version on your One X, e.g. I have 1.29.401.11
This software build contains 3 important numbers - x.xx.401.x
These numbers show the region/carrier of my phone and it means that ONLY updates containing those 3 numbers are relevant to me. Same goes for other combinations...
UK Carriers
3 UK - x.xx.771.x
o2 UK - x.xx.206.x
Orange UK - x.xx.061.x
T-Mobile UK - x.xx.110.x
Vodafone UK - x.xx.161.x
European Carriers
3 Austria - x.xx.771.x (Same as 3 UK)
o2 Germany - x.xx.207.x
T-Mobile Austria - x.xx.112.x
T-Mobile Germany - x.xx.111.x
T-Mobile Netherlands - x.xx.116.x
Vodafone Austria - x.xx.169.x
Vodafone Germany/Switzerland - x.xx.166.x
Vodafone France - x.xx.163.x
Australasia
Optus/Virgin - x.xx.980.x
Vodafone AU - x.xx.862.x
Chunghwa - x.xx.751.x
You also get regional, unbranded versions...
Europe - x.xx.401.x
Middle East - x.xx.415.x
Asia WWE - x.xx.707.x
Hong Kong - x.xx.708.x
Great guide! Will clear up a lot of confusion. If people post in the thread theirs Eddy might be able to add it to the post
Thank you for your guide.
You can add the Middle East software is x.xx.415.x
Unbranded Hong Kong is 708

A lot of region can be deciphered from just the file names.

I know but I'd rather people post more of the carrier-specific versions rather than go by RUUs
Regarding Software build version. I'm a new here, I got my new HTC One x for a week now just wondering if I can install a custom rom on it. Now my question is i'm currently on 1.28 base can I install those custom roms (ARHD) which are based on 1.29?

Yes. You won't get the new bootloader, whether you get the new radio is debatable, and you'll need to flash the correct boot.img (kernel, etc.) for the ROM.
Guys, can we keep this on topic? I don't want questions on how to update or use a custom ROM - this is a reference topic to make a note of all software version currently on One X handsets
1.28.980.10. Optus/Virgin Australia.
