Hi, I install 4 days ago the cyanogenmod 13 on my Nexus 5x. The problem was i can't find the vendor image, so i flashed CM without vendor Image. Is this a problem?

I am trying to build source for nexus 5x but i am unable to find the vendor binaries. I read a lot of post and in every post its written to extract the vendor.img from factory image and flash it using fastboot. I did the same & for the first time it got stuck on the boot loop. then i added it into compile module and flashed it using flashall. Everything went fine but many things doesn't work.
Bluetooth is not getting started, camera is getting FC & numerous other issues related to vendor blobs. If i flash the factory image everything works fine but if i get the vendor image from that and flash it using my build all the hardware issues pops up.
Can anyone tell me how can i flash the vendor binaries or how can i make it work during compile time ? I don't need a flashable zip
Hey guys!
Been awhile since my flashaholic days and am without a PC. Currently on Nexus 5X CM 13.0 M8994F. Can I use FlashFire or a similar app to flash the latest Bullhead 7.0 factory image?
Flashfire works from what I have read. It has an option for full factory image.
hey guys, I bought this huawei g8 (RIO-AL00) in China about a year ago. recently, i felt huawei stock 5.1.1 rom is suck, so i want to change to stock Android. i unlocked my bootloader, then flush twrp official 3.1.1 and wiped system, cache and data. but when i try to flash official aosp extended, an error occurred: Error 7, your device is not RIO-AL00,RIO-AL01,RIO-AL03 balabala…this device is rio.
i spent more than one day to fix my phone, but it has little effect. somebody said an unofficial twrp 3.0.2 in XDA can fix this error, but there also had an error why i user it to flash rom. the error say my device's…maybe firmware is balabala B22, but flash rom need B35 balabala…
i think that error is because i'm not came from huawei stock 6.0.1 but 5.1.1
anyone can help? thx!
Find the needed firmware (even if it's a different region one ) , use huawei update extractor , flash system. IMG, boot.IMG, cust.IMG via fastboot
Just a quick note regarding cust.IMG , you need to convert it to ext4 format and flash it using the DD command , after doing all of that you are able to flash aosp extended
hey there, i just bought nexus 5x and it was updated to latest official android 8.0, now i want to flash custom roms, steps i made: unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp, disabled forced encryption and dm-verity (found somewhere boot.img on xda which disables that), now i downloaded custom rom(tried crdroid and dirty unicorns both 7.1 android) and , gapps arm64 7.1, and latest supersu. flashed these files whith that order and got stuck at google splash logo. not even boot animation is played. tried without and with supersu, and custom kernels. still no luck. official google system boots fine though. so, hope you help me guys
You can't flash 7.1 ROMs over 8.0 partitions and vice versa.
If you want to flash 8.0 ROMs, flash the stock OPR6 images FIRST. If you want to flash <7.1.2 ROMs, flash the latest N factory images.
For me, it was enough to flash the Vendor Image other than the newest one... (or maybe the newest 2, I tried the July one)
Hello,
I'd like to use an AOSP ROM on my S9 Exynos (only because of personal preferences), the only problem is that I couldn't boot a single GSI on my device even though it is Treble compatible. I tried multiple versions of Phh-Treble 9.0 and Resurrection Remix 7, flashed them via TWRP over stock ROM and it never went further than the booting screen of the specific ROM. What am I doing wrong?
I would be so glad if someone could help, thanks in advance.
First you have to flash a vendor , like BRK3 then flash the rom and gapps if needed , and sometimes you have to flash a kernel
where to find vendor file?
