help with MM root and disable write protection

can anyone already rooted the phone help me? .. which version of TWRP/Supersu should I use and is there anyway to disable write protection in MM? I'm a5_dug btw

did you find out?

I replaced from this zip supersu.zip with supersu 2.68 beta and flashed it from twrp. BUT I didn't gain root access, so one more time I flashed only supersu 2.68 beta, and it looks work. Now I can uninstall bloatware and it doesn't install again after reboot. You can check flashing it unchanged(without replacing supersu), I didn't check it.
PS. I have a5ul. In twrp I chose allow modifications to a system. I think that most important thing in this zip is wp_mod module, but I'm not sure.

then delete the supersu & busybox folders inside the zip and flash it after flashing supersu .. it should work.

I've been using the wp_mod.ko kernel module available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/root-root-marshmallow-gpe-supersu-t3242210
It's in the file called "m8-mmgpe-wp_mod.zip", and while it's from the M8 forum, it's been working fine for me.
I've posted a few more explanations here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66473763&postcount=49, but they might not be precise enough. Somebody has asked me for a step-by-step guide, so I'll try to produce more detailed explanations on that thread soon.

How to update my GX8 (RIO-L01 - Single-SIM) to Android 6 for Cyanogenmod?

As the topic titel already saying, I can't find a way to update my GX8 (RIO-L01 - Single-SIM) to Android 6.
I was trying like 14 hours now to get my stock rom and now it's finnaly done... I got 5.1 back on my GX8.
Anyone can help me?

Hi so this method worked for me (i also have the single SIM version):
get the ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gx8/how-to/android-6-0-marshmallow-b330-single-sim-t3391135
and install it like any other official ROM:
1. Download the Zip
2. Extract the dload folder inside your sd card dictionary (Internal storage didn't work for me)
3. Dial this code *#*#2846579#*#* and browse to ProjectMenu > Software Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade. There you can start the update
4. Phone will reboot after the update is finished

I've had my Huawei G8 for about 9 months now and during that time I've never had an update, I'm still running EMUI 3.1 and Lollipop 5.1, my build number is RIO-LC629B140. I've tried the manual updates but it just says "fail Software Install." Please help me I'm desperate for answers, Maybe you could help?.

No, B170 is for Single Sim.
For Dual Sim you need B160.

Honor 6X - L21 (EU version) Update files

Yeah there is issue with AL10 ROM. Even i struggled a lot with this. need to debrand to Indian version.

i purchased my phone in a site called to2c and they offer the chinese variant with optional roms, bln al10 rom or bll l22 rom (indian) with dts sound!. They know how to change the rom. But they are on chinese holidays, i already send a message to get instructions. A big mistake buying it with chinese rom .

You should have gone for the Global version...in Chinese variant there is no play store...I had to do all these manually and took couple of days as all done but contact sync took was still and issue but eventually fixed it. Its Chinese new year time so you may get delayed response.

Also, very low headphone volume, 3,5mm output. Developers only think in how loud the music is today and they apply a volume lock on ALL variants. They dont think some records are quieter .

2. extract the update.app from the update.zip
3. create folder "dload" on a sdcard (or Phone-Memory) an copy the update.app to this folder
4. shutdown honor 6x
5. press VOL+ VOL- POWER at same Time (until to see the blue image with honor logo on the display), then release buttons
6. Update begins.

I got my phone from Amazon.de and the hardware version is the same, so I could probably update.
However, I have unlocked Bootloader. Probably why the update does not show in the update app. It will be the first time to update like this. Does it affect bootloader lock status? It will remove root but that can be reapplied later.

Still haven't received 7.1.1 on RETEU - what is wrong?

My previous Moto Z Play has a broken screen and I can't access my data, but there is a GDrive backup. My broken Moto Z Play has 7.1.1, while the new one I bought a few weeks ago didn't receive 7.1.1, it only made it to 7.0. (started at 6.0). Now I can't use my backup for the new phone, because the backup was created with a newer version of Android. How can I fix this, and why is the update taking so long? Do you guys have any idea?

Try to flash stock 7.1.1 firmware using fastboot, or using RSD.

It is completely new and unchanged, so I presume it is locked. Or is the retail Moto Z Play sold unlocked somewhere?

Did you insert a SIM card? Some people report that without SIM card they didn't receive latest updates.

Got new Moto X Play on Monday. XT-1635-02, reteu channel. Straight Motorola vanilla, not rooted. Set up and it did a few updates straight away.
A few days later (yesterday) a several other updates were available and that got me up to 7.1.1 , 1 Sept Security patch level, NPN26.118-22-2
In Australia. Am going to leave it stock at least until the Motorola Oreo comes out.

I`d recommend not to update to 9.3.25. You can read everywhere about problems, broken twrp and so on
