I have new LG G4 - H815L still under warranty.
I was wondering is there a way to root my device without changing the Bootloader since I don't want to brake my warranty ( i heard there are hardware issues with this model).

i just want to root my LG G4 (H815 firmware LP 5.1 V10d SFR France) but without unlock bootloader (for to keep LG waranty for a period )
there are an easy way ?
i'm lost on this section and with all these variants ... and there are lots of threads(and often it's not written if it need to unlock bootlader) .

Hello there i have couple of question if any one please answer me
first iam new to lg g4 my previous device was lg g3 international version D855 i was upgrading downgrading rooting easily because there is no bootloader at all , now i get the lg g4 model number H815 Software version v20c-SEA-XX came with pre loaded Android 6
i tried to unlock the bootloader after some reading but no avail , its cant be unlocked not supported
now i try at least to root it and enjoy some xposed modules + viper4android but really dont know what to do
my quesions
can i root my lg g4 with android 6 (MM) ? If that possible can you link me please , if i cannot root ,can i downgrade to Android 5(lp) without brick my device and root it

Dont know aboit downgrade some of them have anti rollback. And cant root marshmallow without bl unlock. So far g4 is a dead end in development
Thx for reply .. I think no more lg g4 for me i will move to sammy mobile's easier to edit and customize

first of all..... can you phone be bootloader unlock... check here.....

if not then you cant root marshmallow with locked bootloader..... but you can root LP.
Hello guys, I bought a LG G4. The seller today said that they have sent a H818P Dual SIM version. I already have an G4 H815 European Version and I wanted exactly the same one to easily unlock bootloader, root new ROM flash etc. after warranty period.
Should I send it back or should I accept it? What do you suggest to me? Will it be easy to find custom ROMs for H818P in the future (2 years later).
Also, is there any significant differences between them especially for my country Turkey? I have read some posts about rooting H818P with H815 ROMs. Are they easy to cope with? Or is it better to send it back.

Been away from the g4 but reading most recent looks like the g4 still is still relevant - except for the h818p.
So asking the devs… can the h818p get a chance for new development, at least unlocked bootloader, usu, and the like?
