Hi all members,
I dont know anything much about develpoment, I have ZE551ML 32gb version. I rooted my phone and it was working fine until i installed layers manager from playstore and applied new layers and instantly after restarting the phone was struck on bootloop .. So after searching a bit i managed to open the phone in fastboot mode .
after then i did a factory reset and restarted the phone but the problem of bootloop was still there .. so after searching more i decided to install a custom rom, for that i first used adb tools to flash a twrp recovery in fastboot mode and when i try to enter in recovery mode the phone restarts and enters the fastboot screen itself not on recovery screen. So for me there is not way to enter in recovery mode . So someone please help me and repair my phone i will be very grateful.
Yea you can only install layers for roms that support them. stock doesn't support it. is your bootloader unlocked? if not first do then that try flashing a recovery again.
Hi guys,
I think I hard bricked my zenfone 2... I successfully rooted it, opened bootloader , but when I tried to install TWRP recovery I chose the wrong image as it was TWRP_Z00A_v24 and it should have been TWRP_Z00A_V20 because my firmware was updated to 2.20.40.
I lost recovery...I cannot normal boot because the Asus splash screen keeps loading and never ends and I cannot use adb coomands because device is not detected.
Any idea will be much appreciated
Hi everyone,
My canvas a1 (aq4501) was on September security patch (6.0.1) [unrooted but bootloader unlocked], but suddenly some Google Play services stopped working. So I switched off the phone but the problem was not fixed. Ultimately, I tried to clear cache & the wipe partition but it continuously showed up with the error ''failed to mount the recovery image". Now on opening the phone, it was stuck in a bootloop.
So, I tried to flash stock lollipop 5.1 rom by sp flash tool (5.152400- latest version) [I've earlier done this before as my rom got corrupted earlier] by download only mode but even after successfully flashing (ok done appeared), the phone's rom was not overwrited and it was still hanging on 6.0.1(MOB31E). So this time I tried to flash marshmallow 6.0 rom but again the problem remain unchanged (device was still at 6.0.1- MOB31E in recovery mode even if the flash was successful as shown up by SP flash tool).
So now I tried format+download only mode, again the flash was successful but this time not even the OEM logo (micromax logo) appeared and neither did the recovery mode. That means that my device got bricked. So I found this thread of http://forum.xda-developers.com/canvas-a1/help/micromax-android-one-bricked-unable-to-t2999760. and found that by firmware upgrade mode, we can get our phone back. But as shown in one of the comments of that thread, they got an error "failed to get pmt info", I got the same error too. So, I am helpless as I can't do anything. I've not tried stock KitKat rom yet and also ensure you that all my drivers are correct as SP flash tool is working flawlessly on my pc.
Please help me to fix this problem..........Is there any way to fix it using android one toolkit?????
Hello,
I received my phone two weeks ago (BND-L21 version) and Friday I tried to manually update it to Oreo (with this topic : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/manual-update-to-oreo-beta-emui-8-bnd-t3767044). I don't know what I did wrong but it didn't work (my phone didn't reboot on the stock recovery, only on TWRP). After a few try, my phone wasn't booting anymore, it was stuck on the orange message about the unlocked bootlader and the message "Your device is booting...".
I managed to get it back working with this topic : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/development/firmware-updates-link-flash-risk-t3723810. The problem now is that I'm stuck with the chinese firmware (i don't have the Honor animation when my system is booting, I now have an Android logo on a black background). I don't have any Gapps installed and I can't flash anything with TWRP. When I try to flash SuperSU, i have an error extracting ramdisk failure and something with the boot.img.
Now the model of my phone is a generic_a15 and I don't know how to get back on track.
I'm a little bit desperate now, I don't know how to install another firmware. I tried to install this custom rom : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/development/openkirin-aosp-8-0-honor-7x-t3746257 but I was stuck on the orange message again.
If anybody knows how to solve my problems, I'll be grateful
Thanks !
[UPDATE] I don't know if someone is reading but now my phone doesn't boot anymore and FRP is locked ?
Call Huawei customer support and get a ticket started to send your phone to the nearest repair center. Best of luck!

Hopefully someone can help me its for X800 china version
I tried to open the phone after 2 years, and tried to update it with official ROM from http://123.59.123.195/cn/download/phone/30
After updating, when I tried to reboot it, it got stuck on this black screen with a small penguin, and then after few seconds, it restarts back with the same black screen and the penguin.
I can still access TWRP recovery if I press the vol up button while it is restarting. I tried installing different custom ROM, but to no avail. I would really appreciate if you can help me fix my phone
EDIT: RESOLVED
It was looping on fastboot mode (the penguin icon)
Tried installing an older version, lollipop based, from Cuoco92 (from here https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=57901) and it worked again (thanks Cuoco92!)
Upon reading online, it seems the partition may have been corrupted since I'm trying to flash a MM ROM from a lollipop ROM ,without updating the firmware
I found out that I need to update the firmware to 16S, which I downloaded from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...ollipop-marshmallow-firmware-x800-cn-t3463736
(thanks hugoprh!)
After that I am able to install any ROM, from MM and up (was able to install Lineage OS 14.1)
