Cannot Send SMS From Oneplus3 - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

i am unable to send sms from my oneplus 3, through the stock messenger app and even the hangouts app.

Check whether you have given permissions properly to both the apps and also check and restart your sim card.

MMS issue

I've tried searching on the forum and google but cant find an answer.
Using Go SMS.
I am able to send and receive mms with stock message enable while using go sms.
If I disable the stock message and and strictly use go sms I am unable to receive mms.
I have tried setting up the apn again and using the mms settings within the app. No luck to get it to work.
Perhaps the program can not work with mms? Try to contact the developer of Go SMS.
Android has always needed the stock SMS app to send MMS, even when using third party SMS apps, don't disable the stock SMS app, just disable the notifications in the stock SMS app and keep using your preferred third party SMS app.

[Q] Transfer email settings and messages from S3 to S4

So I got the new S4 from Tmobile and so far am very happy. Great performance.
I have been able to transfer most of my data, settings etc.
The problem I have is with one email account, that doesn't store messages online ( have a limit on how many messages I can keep online) using the default email application. There is no export/ import option. I want to transfer all the messages from my S3 (sent, received etc) to my S4.
I thought I'd try what I usually do once I rooted the phone, Titanium backup pro, copy backup files and restore in the S4.
The email version of the app in the S4 is 4.2 so I didn't want to restore app and data. I only restore data and rebooted like the program prompted me to do.
However, it doesn't look like the file was restored. when I launch email it still prompts me to create an account .
Is there a way I can transfer the email messages from one android email to another?
I thought I'd try to import it to a third party email app like k9 but the import function doesn't appear to work.
I have found many apps for transferring messages, contacts apps etc.. However, I didn't find anything for the default email app.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Should I overwite the newer version with the older version with s3 using Titanium?
Thanks for your help.

Textsecure can't connect to SMS push

Hi,
I can't register to build in textsecure geantwortet because I can't receive the starting sms. The phone receives the code sms but in the moment the sms is received I get the message that whisperSms can't connect to SMS push service.
perhaps these problems are because I installed an extra textsecure client with titanium. what can I do?
I am using oneplus-one with
eng.build.20140901.001425

TextSecure relies on Google Play Services. Do you have it installed?
sure. complete gapps. Everything else is doing very well.

Override stock messaging app?

Device: Realme X (China variant)
So, other than installing a custom rom, is there any way to override the stock messaging app in ColorOS 6 that would allow to me to use Facebook Messenger instead as the SMS app?
When I try to do that now, I always get a system message about it switching back to stock for security reasons... ?
I had the same issue when I tried to switch to the Google SMS app. Even after uninstalling the package trough adb it prompted me to switch to it and wouldn't let me use the google app. The prompt appeared when I received a text message and the "default app" setting wouldn't let me chose the google app.
I tried Microsoft SMS organizer app as my default messaging app and it worked fine. I was getting my messages on SMS organizer app instead of the stock one. And I didn't have to debloat the stock messaging app. All I did was selecting SMS Organizer as my default messaging app on settings and that's it.

Question Restoring call logs and contacts from titanium backup messed up contacts and phone app

So I backed up call logs and contacts from titanium backup before and when I tried to restore it, it messed up my contacts and phone app. Contacts app cannot import contacts from google account, it shows error. while contacts from vcf files imports but it doesn't show up in app. phone app does not logs call history, though calling and recieving calls works perfectly. Any fix for this. I'm currently using third party contacts app and dialer app.
You can access the contacts in your google account at contacts.google.com, maybe have a look at them there first, and if they're good, delete the ones on your phone and synch again.

Contacts are there on my account, but contacts app is fails to import contacts from account or even from a vcf file. if i create a new contact than it also doesn't shows up in it.
Anyway I had to factory reset to resolve the issue.
