Hello Xda'ers,
After trying many many ROMS for my Galaxy SII, I have decided that the S3mods V2.1 is the right one for me. The theming is good, installed apps are few, and the battery life is the best i've tried so far. This ROM has been dropped for sometime now, many people as well as myself like this ROM and would enjoy updating its interfaces, mods and apps, so I decided to start a thread in which I will share with all of you what I have tested, done and how, relieving all of you of many failed boots, soft bricks, and all sorts of troubles. I will credit each piece to it's developer, and will post finds, bugs, and workarounds.

Custom Lockscreen Backgrounds works fine, but you have to set it through: Settings->Display->Lock screen wallpaper.

The way I kinda figured it out, is.....there is a point in which the UI lets you choose which app to crop the image, try mix and matching using gallery selects the image and which crops.
I use a black mesh background to maximize battery life.

I will be changing or closing this thread soon....Samsung has released their new Jelly Bean ROM for the SII than has even features not yet available for the SIII. It literally turns your SII into an SIII so, this thread is now obsolete. Since that ROM is infant and doesnt yet support Kernels and such, I plan on trying different things out, and stuff to better it anyhows.

Known Issues:
Notification page has some gap at the botom of the screen
With some themes, in status bar signal type of 'H','3G' is not clear
When the number of toggles is anything other than 12 then toggles page does not look good.
Very rarely, Launcher crashes when applying themes continuously for a long time
In Lockscreen, music widget does not display the correct song details
Please let us know in this thread if you find any other issues.

Samsung Galaxy S3 4.2.2 Firmware System Dump (SPH-I9300)

I don't know if any of you saw it yesterday but SamMobile posted a new leaked build for the International Galaxy S3 (SPH I9300). Unfortunately the build they posted isn't technically compatible with our S3.
I was able to decompile the partition files and have uploaded the entire system folder to The Repo!
Although the build itself is not compatible many of the apk's and other files should be. I am posting them for our local developers to play with and let them work their magic for us.

That's the hope.
Granted this is for the International S3 so it may not mesh 100% but we've got some good devs in here who should be able to work some kind of magic.

Yes we do . The devs here are awesome iam sure they will be able to get it.

It's relevant because the build is the same build that our current releases for the E4GT are based off of. Using the updated build for the S3 our devs should be able to get some of the features from the S3 (and the S4) ported over to the E4GT. For the average end-user this post serves no purpose, but for developers this build offers a lot of options.

We wont have a 4.2.2 based rom but devs can port many of the features for touchwiz roms like the lockscreen features.

@ThunderSky7 i saw that youre last update of this post was last April, almost 4mos. ago. I installed your work on my phone which was s6 theme icons for s3. Then i observed that the ui, framework, music player menu, etc. are not the same as the real s6 but the icons are good. I want to know if the update progress is still ongoing or not? Because i want more to use your work when it is already complete or stable. Also for me to have a peace of mind that the complete s6 theme for s3 4.3 would come soon. Thank you!

This is a simple Emoji Changer with emoji styles I've gathered from around XDA (see credits) with an advanced Aroma UI installer that will auto detect your device and install the proper files,
Previews shown on selection page so you know you are picking the one you want!
This is just an initial release and in the future may be updated with more options as well as dress up the OP. I'm very busy with other projects so that may take a while, depending on the level if interest of course...
So far it is confirmed working for LG and Samsung devices. More user feedback will be needed to confirm other devices.
The backup/restore function is questionable right now. Works for some and not for others. Backup your file manually before you flash just to be safe.

All others - system/fonts/NotoColorEmoji.ttf
Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm not going to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amout of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind amd slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!
