Hi a have a problem with my s3 i rooted my phone and after i installed cm10 but also i installed google aps and after i installed google apps i was stuck with erors an after that i tried to flash stock rom an now it reamins stuck and when i try to go to restore and to do whipe data it enters only in odin mode i tried ti take out the battery but same it enter in odin mode i flash with rom stock but same problem it remains in samsung logo and when i want to enter in recovery mode its stays like that in odin mode please help
If i am to understand correctly, you have used odin on your computer to flash your s3 back to the stock firmware and are now stuck at the samsung boot screen? When you flash back to stock, you need to always boot back into recovery and wipe data, wipe cache and reboot. Can you do this?
Recovery= volume up+ home+ power
Odin mode (download mode)= volume down+ home+ power
You need recovery mode
i cant go to recovery mode when i volume up+ home+ power its restarting and he dont do nothing he dont want to enter in recovery only in odin mode
Hold the 3 buttons until you see a little blue line of script in the top left corner of your screen. It happens quickly, so you need to be ready. When you see that, let go of all 3 buttons. It should not into recovery.
i tried but my dyspay turns black after relese buttons
Try the buttons for recovery, when you feel it vibrate let go of only the power button.
Also, the timing needed on releasing the buttons can be tricky. Just keep trying.
the same its say recovery botting and after that its dissapearing and the display its black
Reflash a stock Rom. Are you on att?
i am on rogers i flash with I747MVLDLK4_I747MOYADLK4_RWC and same problem i cant enter in recovery mode i will try one moe time
Try flashing the Rogers ics stock Rom.
Hi
There's this Galaxy Note II (N7100) which the owner tried wrong patterns a lot and now the phone is locked and we can't use his Gmail account to unlock it. So I tried to get into Recovery Mode and do a hard reset. SO I turn off the phone hold 'Vol Down+Home+power' the phone turns on shows the samsung galaxy note 2 logo and after one or two seconds, instead of going into recovery mode that logo screen starts flickering (scrambling) and then nothing happens, the screen is black although I'm not sure if it's turned off. So now how can I hard reset? Thanks in advance

hey,try this "you will first have to turn off your device. Once it’s turned off, press volume up + power button + home button simultaneously and keep them pressed until you see the recovery mode. Once you’re there, get your hands off the buttons"

Thanks for the reply man. Well, that's what I've been trying for a long time. I tried it on my Galaxy S III and it worked instantly. But on this one it doesn't work no matter how long I keep the buttons down(I held it for 20 secs or so).

Go into download mode instead. Once there flash a custom kernel via ODIN and then reboot into recovery.

boot into download mode and flash philz recovery via odin . uninstall orevious drivers and fresh install samsung drivers and make sure usb debugging is enabled.
a detailed guide can be found here this will solve your problem of recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31801060&postcount=2
Note :
normally, phone should auto-reboot into recovery.
If it reboots into android and your recovery remains stock, repeat above steps and untick "autoreboot" in odin. Once flash is done, keep pressing power button until it reboots (normally will go to recovery)
when in recovery, if you choose option "reboot system now" and you get "yes - disable flash recovery", select that option to avoid stock recovery overwriting cwm

I understand this is a late post, but I hope you can help me out on this one. I have a different smartphone. I have successfully rooted my Galaxy Note GT-N7000, using Method 2 outlined in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217840
After trying to uninstall a Live Wallpaper using Titanium, my phone is experiencing a similar case as OP. I'm stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000 logo.
MY QUESTION IS: will your recommendation work for me also? I am able to boot into download mode. I am confused though where to find "Philz Recovery" ??? Will it be also found where I downloaded the kernel when I rooted my phone?
I downloaded this file for rooting:
PhilZ-cwm6-JPLSB-UAE-5.11.2-signed.zip
over at:
http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=23431#files
Is the Philz Recovery for use in Odin this one?
PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT9-ORA-5.11.2.tar.md5
I hope you can point me out to the right direction. I'm am quite new with rooting. And trying to save my once buttery smooth Galaxy Note I, GT-N7000 pre Jelly Bean.
Thanks,
Bryan
soft brick??? clueless
I think my lenovo a6000 plus has been softbricked as it doesn't get pass the logo screen. also recovery mode is not opening ( tried every combination). Help me with this. This phone has really checked up my nerves. the reason for flashing this phone as it had a problem of automatically downloading apps without consent, and video apps popping out in the middle of night(time service, monkey test apps), so the only best solution i found was to flash it( tried every other possibility- factory reset, password change...etc everything). Now it has died on me, can't get pass the logo screen. Also connecting the phone to pc gives me multiple drive partitions. Please help.
Cannot boot phone in Recovery Mode even with Philz Recovery

I have a soft bricked (hopefully) Galaxy Note II that scrambles at the startup logo screen and goes blank. I can hear the startup sound and all on startup but nothing on the screen. I have been at it the whole night trying to get it into recovery mode so I could wipe it clean and reinstall the firmware. Tried CWM, TWRP, Philz Recovery (all using Odin) but nothing can get the phone to startup in recovery mode.
I have reinstalled the firmware as well after rooting it with CF Autoroot (again using Odin). I am sure that I am using the correct versions for this model but I have reached nowhere so far.
Now, I have two constraints:
1. The USB debugging mode is probably not enabled (the phone belongs to an uncle of mine).
2. I cannot do anything or change settings on the phone as the screen is black.
Can someone please help me out with this and let me know how to go about fixing it?
Try this: download the stock ROM from sammobile.com, open Odin, uncheck everything except f.reset time. Flash the ROM. When you see the word reset in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot into recovery, factory wipe, and reboot.
I rooted my tab-s 10.5 the other day, I used Odin 3.10.6. I then used flashify to add TWRP, again no problems. From there I really don't remembered what I did to it, but now it is stuck at the white logo that comes after the colored one and now it will not turn off I can get into the Odin menu but that is all. I have let it discharged all night then charged it then I turned it on, it then got to the logo and stopped & will not shut off . I am tempted to send it to Samsung(even though I voided the warranty) and let them fix it. I am at my wits end on this.

White logo? Samsung logo or Galaxy Tab S logo?
I assume Samsung logo. Anyway you can force reboot by holding power+home button + BOTH Volume up and Down buttons all at the same time until the screen goes black. Then quickly press the recovery button combo and restore your backup.
Now if your at the Galaxy Tab S logo, hold power+home button+ both volume buttons until the screen goes black, then press and hold Power+Home+ Volume down buttons then that should get you into download mode. From there flash your firmware.

The download mode is what I thought was called Odin mode which I can get to. The thing is I do not have a firmware. I looked at several sites for one but I did not know which one to down load. They were for other countries but the US..

Heres the T800 lollipop firmware https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347760201
I mirrored it so the download should be fast. It's U.S region
So I should use Odin to load the firmware, right.
Thank you DUHAsianSKILLZ very much, it worked. I about panicked there for a moment when it took awhile to boot. It looks like all of my apps are still there, I only had to reset my wallpaper. Thanks again.
IF I decide to reroot my tab-s(and it's a big if) what file do you recommend and what recovery file.

I usually don't recommend flashing twrp with flashify as it causes some problems but most times don't. I use this tutorial (by me lol) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59638836 and had no problems so far installing twrp + rooting.
The problem you could of had that gave you the bootloop is that you might of hit something I don't know. I tend to only use the recovery to flash roms and hardly ever for backups (takes to much space). I just keep a custom ROM on my sd card since most of my things are backed up into the cloud.
Or you could use this, root and twrp in one:

I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy note 10.1. When i try and boot it will just hang at "Samsung Galaxy note 10.1" bios screen. When i try and get into the Odin menu (power+volume down) it says "Odin Mode" DOWNLOADING Please do not power off.
That is where it get's stuck. I try and connect to Odin launcher, and get write failures.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Boot to recovery (power menu vol up),
Clear cache, if worked it's ok
If not, u have 2 options
Either factory reset from recovery, but you will lose anything in internal sd
Otherway is to flash firmware from odin, then it may boot to save your data from internal sd and then u can factory reset as u like
I've been having this problem for over a day, where, my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II model fails to boot into recovery mode.
I've successfully rooted my device, however, prior to this the recovery menu booted fine.
Any suggestions or input? Should I unroot it so I can bring back my recovery menu?
(ELABORATATION)
After I press the HOME + VOLUME UP + POWER buttons, the screen flashes a little bit, and turns off.
You could try flashing CWM Recovery through Odin and then try booting to recovery mode. I came across this problem once and this solution worked for me.
