I finally may have found a site that sells replacement back covers for the OGP. While the E980 back looks fine, its cross hatch design is much less appealing to me than the Nexus 4 style the other versions have. For anyone else interested, here's a link:
http://diggloving.com/black-battery-door-back-housing-cover-case-for-lg-optimus-g-pro.html
Unfortunately, the pictures only show the inside. So I can't be sure which pattern is present on the outside. Also, the F240 has an antennae while the E980 doesn't. I'm not sure if that changes the shape of the back. Can anyone confirm if this is so? Hopefully one back size fits all variants.

I just ordered the LG Branded one (carrier free) for the E986 from a eBay seller in Spain. It shipped for about 26 bucks.

I'll let you know but other than a ship notice from eBay I don't have it yet. It listed 2 to 4 weeks and if it's anything like other internationally sourced parts it will take at least 3 full weeks to arrive. I'm a little less than a week past the purchase point right now.

Got it! I ordered mine on Friday. Thanks...
I just got mine in the mail. Unfortunately, one of the little flaps that snaps it to the rest of the phone doesn't line up. Presumably this relates to the slightly different design of the F240. When I have some time, I'll try cutting it off and gluing it where it needs to be for the E980.

So you specifically bought an F240 door? I wonder if the ones on eBay marketed as E988 doors have the same problem. Any chance you could take that pic from the site linked above and circle the out of place tab in the picture and post it here? I'd like to compare it to the eBay door pictures.

I received the new E986 rear battery cover and mid-plate today to put on my AT&T E980. As far as I can tell everything looks like it should line up appropriately on both parts. I'm waiting for a new front glass and frame to show and I'm replacing all three simultaneously.
Be advised for consistency sake, the mid-plate is very clearly labeled E986 in etchings. If that bothers you don't order the part from the Spanish distributor. Also the battery door at the top is labeled "G Pro_1 >PC< SY2" where the original E980 door is labeled "SY3" I think. That may be as simple as the very different pattern on the door.
Let me know if there's any other questions. I have midterms the beginning of next week in my masters classes so I probably won't swap the parts till mid late next week. At that point I'll pretty much have a new phone.

It looks like E98X back covers are the way to go. See the attached image for how the F240 back doesn't line up. I started hacking it up with a box cutter. I've almost got it to fit right. I believe it also lacks wireless charging support. I remember reading that the F240 doesn't have it out of the box. I don't currently have a wireless charger to test it on though. Finally, there's "4G LTE" written in the middle. The one posted above doesn't have that, and looks better to me eyes.

It looks like there is not a wireless charging coil on that door for the Qi charging system. I'd return that one and order the door off of eBay out of Spain with the LG logo. It definitely has a Qi charging coil in it.

Just got the back cover I ordered from Ebay in Spain. Snaps on just like the AT&T one and looks to have the wireless charging as well but don't have any way to really test it.
By the way I'm loving the LG cover which has the same patterns as the Nexus 4. The ATT one looks more yellowish and bland in my opinion when compared side by side. Now onto taking the plastic off this new phone, SIM unlocking, Rooting and ATT debloating! Happy the exterior has nothing else ATT-like on board.
I also just got one from Spain. It's definitely the way to go. It fits perfectly and has that excellent Nexus 4 look.

Does anyone else have an E980 back cover they could sell? I bought the phone online, and it only came with the OEM LG folio case. Back cover doesn't have to be perfect condition either as i would cover it with a case.

Bought the one being sold in ebay from Spain (for E986) l. I recieved it here in Philippines exactly 3 weeks from date of purchase. I own an AT&T E980. I confirm that it snaps on perfectly. Also has NFC & Wireless charging (though I can't test coz I dont have a Q charger).
Hi everyone, I have a broken battery door on the s4 mini. Does anyone think this is legit and safe to buy?
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Batte...05525081&sr=8-2&keywords=s4+mini+battery+door
No one rated it before but the seller has 94% positive rating over the past 12 months, and total ratings of 215706. I'm kind of stuck because I don't think Samsung sells replacement battery doors. And I trust Amazon a lot more than eBay... Anyone have any opinions on this?
I think its pretty much like s-view cover, but without the front cover, don't see why wont work.

Try this one, is more elegant then original is like Note 3 back Faux Leather
ACC-GH98-27394K - This is the part number u need to search maybe u find it somewhere else to buy
That's the one I have, except for it says 'duos' at the back for my double SIM version. I like the cover, feels good and all. Only gripe is, I dropped it once and the chrome piece where it says SAMSUNG at the back fell out. So I have chrome in all of them, except for the M. lol

You're absolutely right, that was pretty careless of me.
I love to use very minimalistic cases that don't add much bulk to the phone. Mainly want one for protecting the corners of the phone if it is dropped. My preference is a bumper frame that does not have a back to it. I used to have one from Motorola for my Moto X but I cannot seem to find any for the V20. Anyone had any luck finding any yet?

That Sux,but, thank you for the news regardless & also for taking the lead in finding a bumper for this phone.
Nillkin made a nice one for several phones a couple years ago, but,it seems they've dropped that item from their line-up on newer phones.
I have zero interest in the POS aluminum ones that litter e-Bay,I'm sure you've seen 'em.
I've tried 'em out (on past phones) & for the most part, they're just downright awful.
Anyhoo,back to the RhinoShield:
I'm gonna hold out a glimmer of hope,as the phone won't be available in their market (Australia,I believe) for another two weeks, perhaps demand will grow & they'll change their minds:

Yeah I'm still holding out hope! I just think the phone looks great and I hate hiding my phones in cases where you can't even see them. They also tend to add some bulk (depending on what you go with). Hopefully someone will step up to the plate and make one. But yeah I've seen a bunch of those aluminum ones for other phones and yeah they look like junk.

Interesting. I wasn't aware they made one for the V10. Sure hope you're right and they produce one. Someone has to step up and produce one I'm sure. With the demise of the Note7, this phone is becoming a lot more popular than people expected I believe and I think someone will hop on board and produce one.

I had the OEM LG V10 Bumper, & as with most other current LG devices, OEM accessories weren't readily available to most outside of S. Korea, at least at phone launch time.
Makes no sense to me, why let the 3rd party mfgs get to market before selling your own accessories, SMH, yet, that's been LG's M.O. for as long as I can remember.....

It did look super nice on the phone and left that cool back open, but it did nothing to protect the camera which was soft, painted aluminum. I switched it for a different case. It seems like bumper cases aren't as popular now. When I had my G3, there were about 10 different manufacturers of bumpers. Really, all I want for this phone is something to protect the top and bottom and to keep the screen and camera hump raised off the surface.

well I always think about protection & this is the only company I trust
I'm wondering if ZeroLemon will be making a battery case for the LG G6. I had the 10,000mAh for my Note 3, and love how long the battery lasts me.
They did manufacture battery cases for the G4 and the V20, but not the G5, so I'm worried they might not have a G6 one.
Or if other companies start making them, we can post updates in here as well.
I'm sure they will. They have been pretty active with extended batteries.
I got in touch with ZeroLemon over Facebook. Sadly, they said they don't plan to make a battery case for the G6, citing "technical difficulties".
I just wrote to Powerbear, and am awaiting a response.
Update: Response I got from Powerbear:
"We'll check into adding your requested unit as we continuously work on growing our product line."

It means NO, they won't do it. I'm currently just using Quick Charge 3.0 Powerbank, it charges full in one hour. But i will be looking for extended battery case with a kickstand. I don't like hanging powerbanks.

I'm remaining optimistic that PowerBear can produce one; they did one for the LG G5, whereas ZeroLemon was unable to. If PowerBear makes a battery case for the Galaxy S8 before the G6, that's when I'll lose hope lol. Only time will tell though.
So far, an Anker powerbank is serving me well.
What's the technical difficulties? I wish LG would copy Apple and release their own, they're so superior to power banks I bet they'd sell a ton.
Can they make a "wireless" charging battery case? Seems that would be a big seller.

I'm really enjoying my G6 after years of Samsung- Couldn't bear the curved screen gimmick. The battery life is ok, but I'd really love to have some way to extend the battery- I'm so used to a zerolemon 10000 battery on a note 4, I'm totally spoiled. Even a power case would be fine by me, t'would be nice if the usb c on something like that would have a passthrough, but this is my first "sealed" phone without a removable battery, so I'm clueless what kind of options even could potentially exist for phones like this...
Cheers!

I don't think a phone being water-resistant excludes manufacturers from producing extended battery cases. Sure, with removable batteries in previous generation phones, all you had to do to put your battery case was take off the back cover, remove stock battery, and slip extended battery in. But even with today's water-resistant phones where you're unable to disassemble the housing, there are still external battery cases that simply have the battery fitted inside the case itself.
Samsung Galaxy S8 (IP68, same water-resistance as LG G6) has extended battery cases produced by ZeroLemon and Power
https://gopowerbear.com/collections...-month-warranty-and-screen-protector-included
https://www.zerolemon.com/product/s...ery-case-soft-tpu-full-edge-protection-black/
iPhone 7 has IP67 water resistance. Multiple manufacturers produce extended battery cases for it.

HI,
Thank you for the inquiry .
Yes we are working on the case but there is no release date foe the time being .
Once available we will update that details on our website and Facebook account .

Joey

I'm curious, why does ZeroLemon not make those glorious hard plastic skeletons anymore? The G3 model is spectacular! I'm using it as we speak! I'm sorely disappointed with the lazy G4 and V10 slip-on cases. My G3 is a tank! I never flinch when I drop the phone.
I sure an impressed with their G6 solution. I'll be considering this phone now, rather than only arriving to the V20. But still, they withdraw the superb skeletal design. Can someone please explain to me why?
I think there's another thread about this but yes it's available. Just ordered my last week. Hopefully will get it early this week.

Hi everyone.
My brother just updated his OnePlus 7T to a brand new OnePlus 9, so I "inherited" his 7T. The screen is cracked, but it still works, and the back cover is totally cracked too. I just searched in OnePlus and the repair will be around 200-250€. Is it still worth? Or should I just try to buy a new one?
Thanks in advance. I really like this smartphone, but I'm not sure about spending that amount of money in an almost 2 year old phone...
PS: I have been using a OnePlus 5T for the last three years and it's still performing well, but I was thinking about buying a new smartphone because the battery of my 5T is dying.

Nope, next will be the battery.
Put a case on it to hide the back and tempered glass to cover the front crack and good to go
I moved from a oneplus 3T to a 7T three months back and spent about as much you're paying for the repair of the phone. Maybe a little more than that but the jump was astounding. The screen, speakers, cameras all make it worth the upgrade. Although in your case I can see the cost is mostly for repairs than the phone itself. I would personally recommend you go for it and despite the behavior of oneplus not promising updates on time. The usability is far superior than any previous phone I've owned
There may be additional internal damage.
Always keep these phones in a good case...
I second @HueyT
Of the phone still works out a good cover on the back and a glass or sapphire screen protector on the front and use it until you can afford what you want or until it dies.
Thanks everyone for the replies! Finally, I think I'll repair only the screen.
