^^This seems to be causing more problems than it is fixing so for now link will be down. Thread can stay up so people can say which ROM they got it working on. Best thing to do is to wait for DeathZeroFx to solve exactly which parts of xperia x are needed and makes a full guide as this needs to be implemented into services.jars and framework.jars by devs that have already modded them and cannot be flashed over modded ones as this is causing many of the bootloops.
*original post*
@Pandemic and I have been working relentlessly to fix Smart Cleaner for our Z3s since @DeathZeroFx posted his guide on fixing it for the Z5 (credits to him for finding out what is needed in order to do this). After lots of failed tests and comparing many times the Xperia X framework .jars we now have the right components in the right files.
So finally we can present to you a zip package to fix up SmartCleaner for your Z2 or Z3 devices on MM 6.0.1. This was tested on MWA 4.1 based on beta FW .203.
Edit: so far there have been reports this bootloops for some ROMs like SliMM 1.9 so proceed with caution. If you want to try this and can restore your system partition in TWRP then go ahead and try, but the only ROM this 100% works for is MoonWalker Amaluna V4.1.

Please BACKUP at least System partition in recovery before flash to revert if you get bootloop etc.
Clear dalvik/cache after install.
This requires you have the Xperia X Settings app port by jjwrongjj so that SmartCleaner is shown as an option for you in settings.
Anything goes wrong post a comment straight away so we can fix things up.
Anyone wanting to use this in their ROMs etc please ask permissions from me and/or Pandemic before doing so :good:

I have tested The DeathZeroFx's guide for my Z5, but unfortunately the phone crashes every night at 2 a.m.
Have you done additional modifications ?
Wow you guys finally did it!
Still working on the services.jar and no success, but I think it is close to done
Congratulations!
caused bootloop on SliMM 1.9
i used the setting file before with @DeathZeroFx guide and it worked (but still random reboots at low battery)
so i don't think it's the setting file Bro's .
the 1st reboot it bootloops just at the end of boot animation, and then bootloops on the middle of it all the time.

Unfortunately, my guide only stop rebooting caused by smartcleaner try to reach the files that don't exists on framework.jar, just put the missing files to the framework without link it, it is as same as placebo, I don't think that before because the random reboot just stop (not frequently like before)
---------
Just to report, Now my Z5C have SmartCleaner with ported services.jar Thank you very much @Pandemic @Dobsgw
I don't know if this fully works without issue, after my phone boot up to homescreen and check smartcleaner I post this
I will test this first for couple hours (maybe a day) :/
I think the services.jar that I used can work on Z5 and Z5P too (just assume, because the same 6.0.1 and .224 build number firmware i think)
is this flashable in recovery sir? Thx

Extract the framework.jar and services.jar from your ROM and place them in my zip and flash it again to revert back to the original files. Should resolve your problem if you haven't fixed already!
This fix works by using patched .jars so some ROMs like yours may be incompatible for some reason. I applied the fix primarily for MWA ROM but has seemed to work for others also.

If not just keep extracting with 7zip until you get the system part or something. Everyone packages their ROMs differently so have a go.
If not then dirty flash the whole thing?

It won't work on stock .50 unless you have deodexed the frameworks.
@ares: Look in your framework folder and see if you have any .odex files. If so, this wont work for you.
All you need for it is the android.policy.jar. But beware with the XTX and KA roms, cause there are 2 versions of the android.policy.jar; 1 for small app and 1 for no small apps.

Thank you for your work ! Very useful ! :good:
I've been running 4.4 KitKat GPe (for the last few days, and have found some things that needed a slight changing so I thought I'd share my mods. First mod will make the status bar transparent in the lockscreen, a great compliment to the tranparent status bar in the GEL launcher (thanks to the random walkthrough I found but didn't bookmark). When pulling down the status bar, the date beside the time is currently one line with an abbreviated weekday. The second mod will make it two lines with a full weekday (thanks CM team). APM is a simple APM (props to @kahvitahra for this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1573032) guide) APM_Menu gives you APM, and changes the extended actions of the home button. With this mod a long press will open Recent Apps and douple tap will open menu. It will also remove the 3 dot nav bar from apps that still use it. All flashable in recovery, odex and deodex versions of APM and 2 line date, tran status bar will work with both odex or deodex.
Note: Hot Reboot in APM may not work. You'll need to download busybox installer from google play. Select "advanced" install and install all symlinks ( or just pkill ) - now hot boot should work..if not I'll play around a little more. But bootloader, shut down, reboot, and recovery are working.
Downloads here - CURRENTLY ONLY FOR USE IN A DALVIK RUNTIME ENVIRONMENT. If someone knows what needs to be done to keep the mods ART compatible, I'm all ears! If you didn't read this before flashing on an ART enabled device, the back to stock zip here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47969145&postcount=13) will get you back up and running.

The APM menu options are English, the buttons will be multilingual though
This is a pretty basic implementation of APM, so it's not using strings that are available to be translated.

Do you have any Revert zips? I flashed the 2_line and APM odex files in one queued flash with latest TWRP and im stuck on a never ending boot animation. I forgot that I hadn't made a backup yet so I'd rather not have to flash a GPE ROM over my current setup as I was just on the OTA.
Thanks in advance.

Attached to this post is another attempt at 2_line_date.odex, please give it a shot. Just FYI I did test all of these on my device (odex in a dalvik environment) before uploading, they do work for me..
Edit: just in case that doesn't work, i also attached a back to stock that will revert the apm and 2 line mods with stock systemui and android.policy.jar and their corresponding stock odex files. I don't know enough about ART to know why it would stick you in a loop...like I said, they're working fine for me on dalvik. Let me switch to ART and see if I loop..
Edit 2: yea i get no boot with ART as well.. I'll update the OP to reflect that, at least for the time being, these mods will only be compatible in a Dalvik environment. back to stock zip appeared to fix this. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I don't know a whole lot about ART? (My process for these mods was to deodex, make the mod, then reodex making sure the signatures were retained in both the apk/jar and odex, and work as expected in Dalvik)

I also do belive that using this mod instead of xposed superuser mod will make the camera startup lag to disappear and work better overall.

So i can reinstall it afterwards, because i really like some options the module gives.
Yeah there are a couple features in serajr's module that I'd like to keep.. Is this a problem? Or camera's opening will be faster anyway ..?
(I mean if I uninstalled the module, applied this patch and then installed it back)
you can simply disable only the "system" function in the serajr's module (where there is the superuser option so it turns off) and when you reboot flash the new mod in this post from your recovery it works and camera will boots incredibly fast
so it doesn't need to uninstall the entire module
Hi all
The imporvement in the camera speed is over the custom camera mods or the stock untouched camera?
And, try someone to flash it on a xperia Z1 Compact?
Regards
the improvement is in the signature verification. It should work for all the mods do this verification at the camera start.
If your camera starts slow, you should start it faster flashing the op zip after you have disabled the other superuser mods

Uninstall Xperia Xposed module and Xposed framework.
Restart device and...
Extract services.jar from your ROM.
* If you are using stick based ROM you can extract it from ZIP file
* If you are using stock firmware, odexed - plain stock, ask someone to upload services.jar from system/framework folder.
Copy services.jar to your system folder and change permissions to :
{

}
Now, move, don't copy it, move that services.jar from system folder to system/framework folder and restart device (if it doesn't restart immediately after replacing file.
Flash this MOD and restart.
It's OK now to install Xposed framework again...
It should work now...

Does this works on .242
What are the practical uses of this? Why would one deodex?

Customized system apps. A system app with odex file needs to be "deodexed" (de-optimized) before you can decompile it.
Deodexing Xperia Lollipop is pointless if you're planning on editing a AndroidManifest.xml, because unless you want to be stuck on a bootloop on first-boot, you need to copy the AndroidManifest.xml and the META-INF folder from the original APK to the modified one.
In order to avoid that, "/framework/services.jar" needs to be decompiled and the signature verifying function needs to be modified and the jar recompiled. That means that at least "services.jar" needs to be deodexed first. And that means you're losing OpenGL (and Play Store won't be able to identify your device, thus you won't see most of the basic apps, or will get old versions of them, like Facebook 5 instead of Facebook 33)
I haven't found any solution to that deodexiing flaw, and from what I've heard, it's only an Xperia problem, not on other Lollipop devices.
EDIT: I'm glad to announce that I've fixed the problem. We can all deodex our frameworks now as long as we want and keep the Play Store working perfectly and OpenGL gives no more problems. I'll write a post about this issue and hopefully it gets fixed.
@IaguCool I know that you are the only one who can handle it

Haha yeah... well... not many true custom ROM devs in the Xperia community ("true" as in really modifying apps on their own, not just copy-pasting stuff from other places), but thanks to that fix I can now finalize my custom ROM for a public release.
you used what app to deodex the files ? i really want to try on the .270 firmware for the C6943, i was looking for a tutorial and i found a program called xUltimate but i don't know if it's gonna work, i start to provide some roms here on xda but no one have already deodexed any version of the c6943

I just use Droid Lollipop Batch Deodexer V 2.5 following this instructions of IaguCool
After that, just read this thread and apply the corrections on /framework/services.jar to fix Open GL bug
Sorry for being thick, but I still don't really understand why I would want to flash this. Does this improve performance, make the rom lighter? That's why I was asking about the practical uses of this patch? What do you achieve if you flash this patch?
Thank you!! I was waiting for this patch!!
Did not update at all
I followed all the steps correctly but the phone is still showing me the same update available error and the kernel version is still .242
Used philz touch recovery for the purpose though.. What did I do wrong?

This is not a complete ROM.
Its a Patch that makes your Odex Stock ROM DeOdexed.
You need for this Patch a running Stock 270 Firmware.
I think in your your deodex patch is something mixing. First your Semcgenericuprex.apk is not deodex as you can see in log file from joeldroid, if you look inside there is no class.dex, i think you have to put inside App folder too to get it deodex. cheers
Also you shoud advise that your updater scritp will erase all the App and priv-app folder prior to copy de deodex ones so people that installed like supersu or other mods on this folders will have to install again after deodexing with this method.
Hi, I want to ask, are playstore compatibility and open gl fixed ?

In The Name of Allah
Hi! I'm DeathZeroFx
This is my first post on Xperia Z5 Compact
SmartCleaner is a feature from Xperia X that can manage your RAM and your storage
Thanks @nreuge for confirm this mod works too on Z5
This mod should work too on Z5 Premium
Note: for Z5C Dual, Z5 Dual, Z5P Dual (Dual SIM users) I suggest you not flash this, because I port it from Single SIM files, if you can send me framework.jar and services.jar (deodexed) from dual SIM (Z5C or Z5 or Z5P), maybe I can port it
CAUTION!
There are several things you should read before applying this mod:
1. Your device must be deodexed to work
2. Your device must be on 6.0.1 Marshmallow version
3. Your device must have unmodified framework.jar and services.jar (if you don't know, just remember what mod(s) did you apply before and write down on this thread, I'll try to help, if you only apply XPower ROM it should be fine)
Requirements
- Xperia Z5 Compact 6.0.1 Firmware .253
- Deodexed
- Recovery (TWRP or other)
- Some free space (internal or external) if you want to make a backup
- Xperia X Settings, if you don't have one, check the downlaods section

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7zfhVFaf8vJekZUSlpDY0tzZDQ/view?pref=2&pli=1 (Thanks to @jjwrongjj for the Xperia X Settings port)
UPDATE: For Nougat firmware (Specially .161 fw) just install this mod: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5...ria-smart-cleaner-charger-nougat-7-1-t3636318
How to Install
1. Place the zip(s) on the phone (internal or external)
2. go to recovery (TWRP)
3. Flash the Xperia X Settings zip first
3a. Reboot
3b. Check the settings, is the settings changed to Xperia X? if yes, continue
3c. Reboot to recovery again
4. and then flash the SmartCleaner zip
5. follow the instructions
6. Finish, and reboot
7. the boot will take some time, just wait
8. Go to Settings > Storage & Memory
9. Make sure you check the Smart Cleaner
710 You are done!

I already used this port since 2 days ago and no random reboots!
# Used the fixed one since 1 day ago, no issue found even on the logcat
FAQ
Q: Why I still have random reboots?
A: Do you met all the requirements above? if Yes, post to the thread when you get the issue happen
Q: Can I use this on custom ROM?
A: If that custom ROM is stock 6.0.1 Sony firmware, and without any services.jar and framework.jar modifications, it can, right now I only tested it on XPower 3.0 and it worked too
Q: How do you install this mod on custom ROM ?
A: 1. Make sure you didn't apply any framework modification (framework.jar and services.jar, the framework-res.apk is okay)
2. If yes, do a clean install if you want to get this to work
2b. If not, then Install like I instructed
Q: Can I use this port on xx phone?
A: I think on the Z5 Family, it can (just assume, because of the same .224 firmware), I saw some users reported that they use Xperia Z5 mod and worked, maybe the opposite work too, but just do backup because it is not tested, tell me if worked
Q: Can I have the guide how to port the SmartCleaner?
A: go to my other thread :victory:
Code:
Please take note that this porting guide is not the best method for porting, if you want a better port you can edit the smali code, the list of smali you have to edit is the same as my guide provided.
Hopefully this will fix all the issues,

Hmm, can you give me some information about your device, is your device deodexed? is your android version is 6.0.1 .224? any mod you installed before this?
I think if the device installed some mod that contains modifications to the framework and install this mod will have some problem. I will write that on the thread, thank you for the information Sorry for insufficient information on the thread
Can you give me your original framework.jar? maybe I can port it for you
@DeathZeroFx
I am using XPower 3.0 rom for our device. It is .224 based and deodexed.
I would like to give you some info about FC's. When I click more in app page in Play Store it gives FC and Swipe for Facebook gives FC instantly when i opened the application.
And I uploaded my framework.jar here. Thanks for your work, have a nice day

if I check the XPower 3.0 zip it contain some of framework modifications (such as XSystemUI and Superuser mod) I think the XSystemUI is fine but the superuser mod will removed if you install this
But I tested it on XPower 3.0, it work doing fresh install, flash the XPower 3.0,and flash the zip, it works but the superuser mod will be removed (if you choose that on installation)
----
The thread opened again, about to release new update (it will check your android version, your system is deodexed or not, backup from your files, and packed into 1 aroma zip for easier use)
Working great on Z5 Premium, thanks for your work!
