How much does your Jellytime ROM drain from battery? Using battery e.g. Battery monitor widget, I can see 60mA drain when phone is standby. Seems to be a lot for me. I didn't find comparsion just subjective claims - high/low drain. 60mA is with wifi turned off, bt disables, no gprs/3g data, just standby. No application seems to be running. Battery stat shows that 60 % is display (but I can confirm that display is off), 40 % cell stand by and about the same amount phone idle.
You can try BetterBatteryStats to check what might be draining your battery (if any).

Thanks, I will try it. So far I was using Battery Monitor apk. However, I have no reference if my battery drain level is expected for that rom or not.
I'm also having issues with battery drain on JT... really strange. It seems to have drain when in standby, and when the screen is on it goes like crazy, I can't get more than like 20-30 minutes of screen-on time. I really like this ROM, it is pretty stable and works fine, no major bugs but the battery drain is crazy. I took a couple of screenshots. It seems that process Media is keeping it "awake" and causing battery drain. In all other ROMs I used (and in stock) I have never seen any other process except SCREEN using more than couple of percent of battery. Now this media process is using almost as screen! Any clues as what it is?
Also, I noticed that it discharges quickly when screen is on, but it also charges quickly! Something wrong with battery stats? It simply can't go from 20% to 70% in 10 minutes while charging?

Its about 1% per hour about the battery drain..quite good battery with usage

Hmm, could you provide mA value (battery monitor shows it in history in 10 minutes intervals..)
I can do five hours with normal use on a full charge..
These are battery stats for my DHD. The first one is standby over night with stok HTC ROM (2.3.5), the second one is with JellyTime ROM 9.1. It takes 10times more power.

That's not much. Was it better as long as you can remember with stock HTC ROM? I could do 2-3 days with normal use with stock ROM.

Yes, but my cost for 2-3 days is: no gsm data, no wifi (or wifi for something like 5 minutes), no widgets except htc clock & weather, almost no background apps, few phone calls, moderate number of sms. (Yes I hear you saying, you don't need 'smart' phone , I do, I use some apps but not too frequently, so avg running time from 100% to say 10% of battery was 2-3 days, mainly depending on number of sms sent
I had it charged to 100%. Then I kept it charging, went to recovery and deleted battery stats. I booted and when it displayed lock screen I unplugged. Then I played for like 10 minutes (screen on) and my battery went from 100% to 88% !!! A bit too much? I installed betterbatterystats so I hope I'll see which process keeps it awake (there's drain even when screen off)...

perhaps try to install: http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.bmw
it provides history of current consumption, that can tell whether it is a lot or not.
Btw, what do you exactly mean by "played for 10m"? What did you do?

Thanx for the tip, I'll try installing the app you suggest. "Played" means I turned the screens on louncher a couple of times to update all widgets, went into settings, looked at the battery stats etc. Maybe lounched foursquare and titanium backup, nothing really intensive... Here are shots from batterystats. Seems to me media service is doing it...

yes media service seems to be suspicious. It says, the phone was in deep sleep only half an hour for last hour while screen on was really only for about 10 minutes. I think the problem is in remaining time. I am not really familiar with bbs logs, maybe post the log into BBS thread here on XDA for help if you cannot figure it yourself.

There is no need for wiping battery stats.
Once your phone recharges to 100%, battery stats reset by default.

Ok, I figured out, what is causing high battery drain. It FM radio. After clean flash and basic setup, it consumes 10mA when standby. Which is twice more than with stock ROM, but seems to be acceptable. If I run and then exit Sprite FM radio app, phone starts to consume 60mA until reboot. After reboot, it is ok, until I run Sprite FM app again.
However, BBS does not show anything useful. Maybe because of FM HW keeps running? There is shown no SW battery eater..
I still can't figure it out Here's log of consumptuon in standby from last night, I have it set on profile manager to turn off data and set airplane mode from 1am-7am. Looks good to me, can someone confirm these are OK values?

seems to be of slight using or runnign backgroud processes this hour?

2012/09/24|02:09:43|-7mA|58%|3955mV|21.0ºC|.0|0
this is expected consumption, with stock HTC ROM I got -3 - -5mA, but -7mA is pretty good. With R10 I got -10mA, don't know why it does sleep less than it should.
Code:
2012/09/24|06:46:44|-210mA|53%|3740mV|21.0ºC|.0|0

2012/09/24|07:10:44|-254mA|51%|3721mV|24.0ºC|.1000|0
what happened here? -264mA is a lot of power consumption, do you remember what did you do? Common usage should be around -100mA.
Last night, around 2am, I unplugged my phone from the charger before i went to sleep (it had WiFi on) and now when I woke up and checked it at 1:30pm the next day, I had 35% battery left! WHAT!? checked battery stats and Android OS ate up 51%! with phone idle at 12%
anyone have any idea what's going on? I have everything except WiFi turned off, GPS, Location Services, Auto-Sync, Auto-Backup, everything. I also underclocked everything via cpu master and trickster mod. I greenified facebook, viber, skype and any other app that could potentially wake my phone from deep sleep.
I checked trickster mod, deep sleep was at around 5hrs with 162mhz at around 7hrs. don't have any screenies of those since I rebooted my device right after I plugged in the charger (helps with displaying correct percentage)
I've attached a screenshot. I've never seen that kind of downar plunge in my battery stats. ever. this is the first time it's ever happened.
I'll install wakelock detector and give it a few hours. I know my phone drains around 1%/hr while idle, maybe even less.
EDIT: I already started when I took the second screenshot. I forgot to take a screenshot of the rest of my battery stats. so don't mind the time and the difference in battery percentage.
that's kernel problem. I meet that problem before, while I'm using AK-kernel with Vanir ROM. Kernel make screen always on to increase respond for S2W and Double Tap to Wake, but also cause this problem. In Android 4.4.2 also have this issues ( Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 is an example, you can search Google for this ).
You can install Better Battery Stats to check wakelock issues, but you can't do nothing, unless you have to changed to another kernel

don't have S2W and knock on enabled on my kernel. I also tried those and their battery drain is nothing compared to this!
I've charged my device and now it's showing Google Search as the culprit. now looking for a solution.

Solid Kernel + Stock 4.1.2 with a few xposed modules. I've solved the problem. Had to completely turn off Google Now and blocked wakelocks from Google Play Services.
I'll give this 3 hours and see if it goes back to the 1%-1hr idle drain. Battery stats seems to have improved, I'll post my post-fix battery stats in around 5 hours just to check if the problem comes back.
aaaaaaaaaaand it's back. This time it's not Android OS but Google Play Services that's eating the battery up. I now get 2%/hr with this new problem.
I checked trickster mod and my phone is not entering deep sleep. checked wakelock detector and it showed GCMSEND as keeping the phone awake. (1h 52m out of 2h)
Anyone know a fix for this? I've currently filtered it in Wakelock Terminator and I'll see how it goes from there.
UPDATE:
22 mins in and phone is in Deep Sleep 84% of the time. filtered GCMSEND and added 2 lines to build.prop that supposedly improves deep sleep.

Will leave it overnight to see if it stays this way.
yeah, noway to fix it because it was an issues of kernel.
If GCMSEND always running, you can downlod app called Disable Services, and Open it to disable some service in Google Play Store and another system app. Try it and will see if it's working.
For some reason my M9 doesn't want to go into deep sleep much. Out of the 1 hour I have it off the charger, only 2 minutes were in deep sleep. I haven't used the phone at all in that 1 hour, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be sleeping.
Does anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks

I've used a very similar app. There are no wake locks. All it says is "Android OS" is using 100% of the screen off battery. Even in the normal HTC battery settings, android OS is using 100%. Thanks for the help though.
System Panel is neither similar nor showing you those funny wakelocks..
It thoroughly informs you about CPU usage last night..

Thanks, but all those apps are the same. They can only get a certain amount of info from the core system. There are apps that do the exact same thing for free, which is what I use.
As an update to my problem, rebooting the phone and clearing cache seemed to have solved the issue for now.

If you run out of ideas on how to fix this, I'd say get root, get Xposed, and get Power Nap. Pretty much blocks all wakelocks at night and I see like 1% drain the next morning.

Wait...xposed works on 64bit phones? Wow I've been missing out for nothing lol.
Yes, but make sure you use the xposed arm64 file.
This thread has the stuff
Here's the zip you want xposed-sdk21-arm64.zip
And you also need the alpha installer.
Ever since updating to new Android 5.1.1 I'm having sudden battery drains while on stand by it will often start to warm up and I'll would see a drop in 20% battery in like 5 - 10 mins. And reboot fixes this. But this has been happening for a few days. Its not the WiFi as I have toggled the WiFi off the watch and locations are also off. I have done am factory reset a few times but no use. Any ideas? Or is it possible to reflash the update similar how you can do on android devices via adb?
POSSIBLE FIXES/ SOLUTIONS
I have summarised possible fixes and solutions to the battery drain
1. Uninstall Battery stats app
2. Re install android wear using Sony PC Companion (this worked for me)
3. Disable Google fit (credit to @maniusng)
4. Install previous version of android wear companion app
5. Fix by @Bender_0

My fix:
I think I stopped battery drains, but not discussed in the XDA option.
Settings> Wi-Fi Settings> Wi-Fi Disable
And then in Wi-Fi settings> Advanced> Energy Saving 15 minutes.
See if you solved this to you.

EDIT: POSSIBLE ROOT OF PROBLEM
after doing loads of testing i think i may have found the cause. its the WiFi and its drivers because i have noticed that when my phone gets disconnected and then reconnected later on, during the battery cycle i will have a drain. and if i dont allow my watch to loose connection with my phone and then i would not experience battery drain during that battery cycle.

Try turn off Cloud sync on Android wear app on the phone if you didn't do that. Maybe this is the problem.
Mine has been draining too, cloud on or off
I had this too. The last 20% drained very quick during night in a way it never did before
Had similar issues this weekend. Even tried to use it during a half marathon run and the battery died on me during the race. Even the day before the watch just died on me after maybe 4-5 hours.
Haven't tried disabling cloud sync yet, but have turned off Location and Wifi for now. I also uninstalled a few apps I really wasn't using just in case in the background they were draining battery (even if the battery usage monitor wasn't listing specific apps.) The other thing I did was change back to a stock watch face in case the one I was using was draining battery (it was Minimal and Elegant.) Drain has slowed down, so I need to keep playing around with settings.
My guess is it's tied to apps that weren't ready for the 5.1.1 update, so we'll see if I can determine what I was using that started the drain.

there is a similar thread of a user seeing what is causing the battery drain and he found out that it is "wear battery stats" as it kept waking the watch. i have unistalled this app and the watch battery seems to be ok. after another battery cycle ill let you know what happens
After receiving the update and it killing my battery from 100% to dead in 6 hrs I charged the battery over night took it off charge at 11 am yesterday and at 4 today I'm at 3 % which is 29 hrs with sync and wi-fi on and I'm using Wear battery stats. The funny thing is my battery before the update would not last even close to what I just got.

Are you using wake screen by wrist movement? It could be a bug in the accelerometer
Yes I do.My battery died around 6:30 I'm going to charge it and see what happens.
Same problem here...

Have tried the below all while Never having the phone and watch apart more than 2-3 meters:
Wifi off , cloudsync on
Wifi off cloudsync off
wifi off, clousdync off, gestures off
wifi off, clousdync off, gestures off, GPS off
wifi off, clousdync off, gestures off, GPS off + Factory reset (twice)
wifi off, clousdync off, gestures off, GPS off + Factory reset (twice), Cinema Mode
The problem still keeps coming back.
As far as i can tell nothing i do is triggering it.
My next thing to try is to uninstall anything that i can that has a wear app in it, though that's going to be very annoying.
I think most off problems are related to Cloud sync and turning it off will be good for battery. But there is something alse that is draining battery. I had problem with some watchfaces and had to uninstall them day after updating Android wear to 5.1.1. They were killing my watch. Now I am still looking what is draining battery. I'll post my results when I am finished.
Has somebody Google Fit installed and no battery life problems?
I think it could be due to the fact that I have greenifyed the watch faces and watch apps on my phone. I de greenifyed them and I'm gonna check out the battery and keep it updated.

Ok weird.
Uninstall Google fit, battery life is better but I'm still getting Google fit notifications.
It looks like there is a version that ships with the watch by default.... Maybe that's the issue..?
Sent from my SM-N910G using XDA Free mobile app
I see no difference but use it like I always have no WiFi
Same here.. I have wear battery stats installed on my computer and I've seen sharp spikes with the battery, up to a 20% drain, that's from 2.33% to 3%. I've done the following with the same issue happening:
1. Went into recovery to clear cache
2. Factory Reset from Watch
3. Removed Wear Mini Launcher
4. Removed all additional watch faces
At first it seemed like it was back to normal.. but then I would get another sharp spike... and at times when powered back up from being dead it would act like the cache was cleared and would start the updating applications before the watch would fully start up. So I went ahead (out of anger) and did the following:
1. Removed all unnecessary applications (Stay Lit Wear was one of them.. possible suspect)
2. Reimaged with Sony PC Compainion 2 (Watch was initially upgraded through ADB)
3. Setup the Watch.
4. Uninstalled updates to Google Play Services on my Phone and reinstalled them back on the phone (thus disconnecting the watch... forcing me to.... )
5. Factory Reset the Watch again.
6. Now that I'm back up and running it seems that my battery is lasting a lot longer... at a drain rate of 1.88%.
Crossing my fingers something in there fixed my issue, and possibly helps someone else.
even after uninstalling wear battery stats, still getting sudden battery drains on idle ambient mode in 10 mins there was a drop of over 20% and it still warms up a lot. I am going to reflash using Sony pc companion.
I hope you guy with battery problem figure it out.Mine is the best It's ever been.
Hi everyone
hope this is a good place for this. I just bought a brand new P2 and yesterday I was doing some configuring for it and updated it to 7.0 (S244 stock). I did wipe it after all the updates according to instructions on this forums. Before going to sleep I charged it to 100%, unplugged the charger and left the phone with all connectivity (wifi, lte, bt, nfc etc.) turned off. I expected 2-5% battery drop but when I woke up in the morning it went down by 25% (!). Also my wallpaper changed to black colour(?). Something's definitely wrong What can I do about this?
Power manager shows the system as the main source of battery drain.
Another thing I noticed is that the video (YouTube, VLC) and alarm sounds are stuttered, there is like 0.5 sec lag every 10-15 secs...
Please someone tell me if this is normal and what can I do? Should I do factory reset once again or maybe flash the firmware? Can that help?
UPDATE:
I have found that the cause of the baterry drain problem is the CPU, it does not go to deep sleep at all and CPU-Z shows that it constantly jumps beetwen 652Mhz and 1401 or 1689Mhz on all 8 cores (even with no apps in the background and all connectivity turned off). Please have a look at my screenshots from GSam Battery Monitor:

Clearly something is wrong, any suggestions? Please guys tell me something.
Is nobody else experiencing this? Does no one have ANY suggestions for me whatsoever? I did a factory reset, phone is still losing 1-2% battery per hour with all connectivity and screen OFF. So basically it loses per hour what it should lose during whole night.
Are you on Nougat or Lollipop?
Can you post up the system battery stats from the phone.
Which apps have you installed?
Try these...

Obviously the deep sleep is not happening in your unit. Let's see what is the root of this problem:
1) Settings > WLAN > cog-wheel icon > Keep WLAN on during sleep = Never.
2) Settings > Power manager > Battery saver > On.
3) Settings > Data usage > Data saver > On. Ensure zero apps is allowed to use unrestricted data when Data Saver is on.
4) Charge the device till 100% (do it before bedtime).
5) Turn on Airplane mode.
6) See the per hour drain the next morning. It should be between 0.1% to 0.3% per hour in the GSam Battery Monitor app (assuming you slept for 8 hours).
If the above result is true, meaning, there is / are 3rd party apps that trigger the wake lock activity. But which app(s) to be blamed? Please list down the apps list for us to test in our unit.
@Treboeth, Nougat (s244) as I wrote in the first post. Battery stats after the night attached below.
@azeemzuhair Thank you for your input. Im going to describe what I did. Yesterday I did the factory reset, I didnt install ANY new applications (except for Alarmy but I needed it and phone was losing same amount of energy without it). So the only apps that drain the phone are the system apps themself. Before going to sleep I charged the device to 100%. As for points 1-3 from your post both WiFi and Data were OFF as well as bluetooth and NFC. I left it for the night with screen OFF. These are results after the night (SoT 1 min., standby 9 hours, 22% of battery gone, so that gives approximately 2% discharge rate per hour). This is clearly terrible. Any ideas what next?

Ok, will do! Im also installing wakelock detector and gsam battery monitor right now so I will be able to provide data from them tomorrow in the morning.
Thank you for interest in my problem!
Airplane vs active SIM stand-by drain...
Airplane mode stand-by drain @ 0.1% per hour:
Single SIM Active mode stand-by drain @ 0.5% per hour:
Ok, so I left it in Airplane mode for the night and the discharge rate was 0.2%, that is some progress. After that I charged it to 100%, unplugged, disabled the Airplane mode and left it for 5 hours. Battery drain is due to SIM card and phone although they were not used and the signal was good. Everything can be seen in these screenshots:

Any ideas?

My hypothesis is that the "Alarmy" app caused the wakelock. By judging at the Airplane mode, Alarmy still wakes the "CPU". You may try to uninstall it and monitor the energy consumption for the next 3 days...

Alarmy is not the problem, take a look at screenshots from today's morning:

The problem is SIM card and "Phone" but the reception in my area is exceptional as can be seen from one of the screenshots.
Network reset...

Try "Network Reset"
Still the same? Wipe cache partition in the stock Lenovo Recovery.
Finally, hard reset is the last resort.
Thank your for your reply. Removing SD card fixed the SIM management drain but the "Phone Services" still drain the battery. I did the network settings reset and will see if it helps. As for cache wipe and factory reset I'd like to remind that the whole troubleshooting process started with factory reset so I dont know if that can help.

I decided to return this chinese crap, took Samsung instead, no battery drain so far. Thank your for your help!
