Received OTA Marshmallow update and was running fine. I rebooted into recovery to clear cache because I was dropping several calls. Now I get constant force close errors saying fingerprint not working. Anyone experience and/or know how to fix?

Do a factory reset. Its a good habbit to delete any prints before an big update

Was trying to avoid that... but that ended up fixing it. Thanks.

Curious to see if anyone else has had this problem or can help. When I go to contacts to create a new one I get a black screen with save or cancel as an option. It freezes so I can't select either. Once the process fails I get a popup box with the process error name. This also happens when I try to save a number.

Forgot to mention I am not rooted and have tried turning the phone off and on. Also went into task manager and cleared the ram and active application tabs.

Try going into manage applications and clear cache for your contacts

what were you doing prior to this issue? Have you flashed or installed something recently?

Nope. Friend text me his new number, tried adding it to contacts, failed. Tried a different number, failed. Still waiting around a couple of more days to see if anyone else has had of has this problem before I factory restore.

If anyone comes to the same problem only way I found to fix this is with a factory reset.

I flashed CM10 and am running the latest nightly (12/13/12) and I didn't run into this issue until I had to flash back to stock after getting an error trying the unofficial 4.2 release. Anyways after flashing back and getting my phone to working order. So GMail has sync errors, doesn't show all new emails, while on my CPU they are unread and new. Also after installing a new app or rebooting where I have it on my dock it disappears and I have to move it back. Tried uninstall and reinstall and no fix.
And for the SD card issue, I think its just not fixable, but I reformatted it three times, still says unmounted unexpectedly and stuff randomly are there any fixed to this also?
Thanks guys!

What version of gapps are you using?
4.2.1 I believe it is the latest cause I don't have an update available. Its official Google.

Had to resort to a factory reset/data wipe. Seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the troubleshooting tips guys.

Do you get any kind of error message when trying to start the app?
Sent from the rabbit hole.
No, it starts up, ask you which type you want, mobile,HD, etc etc, it's the mobile one that crashes, also just seen in the market comments it is happening to other people.hope it gets fixed,

This isn't really a phone issue, I just wanted to see if anyone else had issues with the Facebook app. It stops loading the news feed after using it for a few minutes. When you click on comments it will just load. And pictures don't display all the time.
The only way to fix these issues is to clear cache/data for app and force close then it works for maybe 20 minutes.
I just want to know if anyone had similar issues. I understand there are alternatives but I love this app. Also, it didn't use to be this bad but slowly got worse after a few updates to the app.

I haven't had those kinds of issues. Usually just clearing my RAM fixes my minor issues. Have you uninstalled and reinstalled it? May be a stupid question but it never hurts. Lol
