[Q] is it possible to switch off sim2 data ONLY?

hey all
just wondering is it possible to disable sim 2 data ONLY??
since the purpose for sim2 only for calls and sms
Also , are there any apps that can use 4g by selecting slots without doing it manually?(i knew is kinda impossible:crying

try a wrong apn settings for sim2. Actually i don't know how to do that cause i don't have a dual sim.

[Q] WCDMA only with data turned on SIM1 Making SIM2 not reachable

I am facing the problem of the SIM2(GSM mode only) going out of network when the data is turned-on on SIM1(WDCMA mode only).
I use the following
SIM1 - DATA
SIM2 - Primary calling purpose
Following pattern observed
SIM1 SIM2 Data Turned Observations
--------------------------------------------------------
GSM GSM turned on-either sims Working and both SIMs available on network
WCDMA GSM turned on-SIM2 Working and both SIMs available on network
WCDMA GSM turned on-SIM1 SIM1 Working, SIM2 not available on network (if anyone calls on sim1 it is not reachable)
Signal icon does not rightly depict the same for the third combination.
I have made the above observations by actually calling from other phone with the above combinations.

volte on 925t for another network

Hi guys
I own a 925t model but live in india where t mobile does not exist yet.
Here recently a new company "jio" launched its lte network but i am unable to use volte on this network
This network is pure lte so it has no support for 3g and 2g bands and you need t o have volte in order to make calls but i am unable to do that...
I can use data, i can see 4g/lte icon on top.. i just cant make calls...
Also when going to dialer -> more -> settings-> more settings, i get a error, "failed to read data, network or sim card error"
Any help guys?

VoLTE Dual SIM (SIM1: Voice+Data, SIM2: Data only)

Hello
I have 2 Sim Cards, SIM1 with Voice + small Data and SIM2 with big Data only.
I have flash ACIP.
I can use VoLTE only if I enable SIM1 Data, but if it enable SIM2 Data is off.
It there a solusion for this issus?

VoWiFi over second "data SIM" - is it possible?

Hey!
My network operator supports VoWiFi feature, which i'm using a lot. I'm traveling quite often and using VoWiFi i can use voice services using domestic prices worldwide.
I have dual SIM card phone, in the second slot i have data sim.
Here the question comes - is there any way to configure a phone to use VoWiFi feature over data connection from the second SIM?
Essentially VoWiFi feature requires just internet connection, so in theory such approach should work, but do not know if it is possible to configure the phone this way.
Would appreciate any help

Any help would be appreciated.
I do have workaround - to use the second phone, share WiFi from it and then i can use VoWiFi on my main phone. But it' super inconvenient - you always need to care 2 phones.
If you know any apps/solutions please let me know.

However - you are talking about VoLTE if you're talking about using the data connection on the second SIM rather than a WiFi connection.
Again, however, this should be possible - I can enable VoLTE on both SIMs. It's under Mobile Data in the Settings app...

VoLTE is different technology and is charged in my case differently. That's the reason i'm looking for an option to use data sim that the main sim uses this data connection for the call simulating "VoWiFi" and hence use domestic rates for the calls.
As i said above i can emulate this with two phones, but i still hope to find a solution where i can archive that with only one phone.

I'm looking for the same solution. My note 8 is rooted. The best I can do is set WiFi Calling as preferred over Network calling, but as soon as I activate Data for SIM#2, I lose WiFi calling and VoLTE for first SIM. Very inconvenient. Anyone have any clues how to force WiFi Calling using Data of SIM#2 ?
