sav_amd_dir with a .ini file inside keeps downloading itself in download folder. Is it some kind of malware ?
me, too. on oneplus one, with slimsaber 5.1.1-nov-2015 and firefox as internet browser with mblock as ad-blocker....i als o get name_ver_dir with ver.data and pname_version.txt files.
after deleting couple of times these 2 folders ( sav_amd_dir and name_ver_dir. they come back automatically....what are these folders? am i infected by some virus/malware?

in some spanish forum they said it has to do with xender, an app for fast file transfer between 2 phones.....but i used xender already 1 year and never had seen these 2 folders. maybe after last update of xender-app from play store is the reason of the "problem?"
UPDATE 2: after re-installing xender, running xender and giving internet access to xender i get those 2 folders back in my DOWNLOAD-folder. i used xender version 3.2.0526. in this version they show advertisement. maybe these filders had something with the ads to do?

Installed and confirmed working on unrooted VZW HTC One with no FC's of note.

I've tried twice to install and at first everything works just fine then I start getting FC on Google Now running NOS 2.0. Going to try cm10.2 and try it that way.
edit - Got it working after adding the lib file and changing the language a few times.

Have you installed the lib file into the lib directory? I have it working on NOS. I had the same problem but I changed the lib file from rw-rw-r-r to
rw-r-r-r now it works like a charm. I used root browser. Give it a shot!
EDIT: Ooops I missed your edit. Changing the language worked as a temporary fix for me for awhile, changing the lib files permissions fixed in permanently.
Everything is working except the ability to start voice search by saying OK Google. Is it working for everyone else? Works on my N7

You do have to flash the new Google Service which is in one of the 3 APK's in the above download link. If you don't flash that if will prompt you to update each time launching GN.
Hey guys,
Nexus 5X running Pure Nexus, rooted. Was wondering what was the best adblocker that resolves all issue?
I tried MinMinGuard and it's great, but it doesn't block Chrome ads, which are possibly the most annoying. I don't want to install a different browser.
I also installed AdAway and it royally messed up my browsing. It didn't block ads, and it made web browsing severely slow. Took me a while to rectify that...
So, best AdBlocker? I have Xposed, can flash a .zip, am rooted...
Thanks!!
Try Moab. available as a flashable zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916098
Have you tried AdGuard?

I like AdAway.

+1 for AdAway

Have you thought about just using a hosts file? I use MVPS Host's file on everything. Direct link to the hosts file. I just don't see a reason to have an app installed and running if I can load a hosts file every other month that seems to work pretty well for me.

That has to be the largest hosts file I've ever come across. The problem is it's not being actively maintained, it's just a huge list that's being thrown together, and not being checked. If you grab domains out of there at random, you'll find many are no longer active, and are available, which means they don't need to be in there. Which means they are just taking up space, memory, and slowing things down.

adaway uses the hosts file and updates it automatically whenever theres an update to the sources. it also allows to add your own sources to the preset list.
adlock, maybe
i use that tool and i think that it's very useful tool, better than adblocker as for me
I just downloaded the app in my pc and grabbed the appxbundle by Fiddler.then i extracted the bundle and got the ARM package.
install it with Device portal.

I found a way to get theme store and other apps that come with other region phone versions but you need to have root. This is for EU phone, I do not know if this work on other phones versions .Also I am on Realme ui c28 version .
The apps are installed but hidden, the apps that this give are theme store, google phone, google contacts, google messages and app market. It also unlock call recording . I bet that you can add only several of them but because I can freeze or uninstall them later I did not continue to find a way to do it. I recommend to do this to this after installing stock rom or after doing factory reset as at first I think that it did not work for me, maybe because I tried to install many versions of themes apk.
Instructions
1.You need to download any file explorer that can access system folder, I used root explorer (paid app)
2.You need to go to /system/etc/oppoRegionMarkFeatures and copy com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml and com.oppo.regionmark.RU.xml to internal storage in case that you want to revert this change .
3.Delete com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml on /system/etc/oppoReginMarkFatures and rename com.oppo.regionmark.RU.xml to com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml .
4.You need to go to /system/etc/ and copy the blacklist folder to internal storage in case that you want to revert this change.
5.You need to go to /system/etc/ and delete the folder blacklist .
6.Reboot the phone .
7.you need to go to setting and now you see on the top under search, sign in or something similar, click on it and register an account. Then you can go to setting, then click on "home screen & lock screen magazine", scroll down and you will see "Set Theme ."
8.Now you can select any theme you want and hit apply. The themes that you see is based on the region that you set the phone to, you can select India and reboot the phone and you will see other themes, most of them cost money but if you search free, you will see a free ones . You can also find a guides of how to install a paid themes for more then 5 minutes free trial .
Will the replacement of EUEX with RU create any problems?
I tried your procedure and it worked, but I reverted it waiting for your answer.
By the way, the themes will affect only stock launcher, right? Not the system interface, or am I wrong?

By the way, I forgot to copy the blacklist folder. Can you send me yours, just in case...

I do not think that it will crate any problem, I am on c28 and all work as before, nothing is removed, only added .The EUEX (Europa) has restriction that that Russia does not, It just easier to rename the files and not need to download any other files. Also can you tell me what firmware you are ? I want to confirm if it work on any other firmware other then c28 as I think that they change some files .Here is a link to download the blacklist folder - https://mega.nz/file/EM0lhLgZ#dqHsIf8LlfJmWzvbCTAxwmBAJuoIvL1EYD86p6yuoAg
The Theme can affect the system interface, notification panel but not all do it, most do not.

Hi. I'm on C.28 downloaded from European site.
And thank you for blacklist folder. Now I'll add files again. Except for app manager I'm not interested in the other apps. And of the themes I tried none was interesting.
But your method is amazing. And I can confirm the whole morning I haven't had a single problem.

I do not mind that you translate or share this guide, just do not forgot to write that it work on c28 and this is not tested on other versions. I once tried to do it on c27 and it did not work but I edit some other files before, so maybe it cause the theme store to have problems applying themes.
Hi, this does not work on RUI 2.0 F.14. Do you have another steps to perform so i can unlock the hidden apps?
