kindle fire 5th gen, stuck in boot loop unless battery drained.
I am able to boot fine only if the battery becomes drained from the boot loop'ing and then i turn it back on. But after it boots fine into the fire os, if i do a reboot or power off, then power on again, it will go back into a boot loop. And, i can't even turn it off right now, it is jsut in a boot loop.
It seems strange that it still boots, but only in that condition. WHat could be wrong? if i flash a custom rom, would it fix it or what?
thanks

Hi All,
I just used kindle fire utility to root my Fire. I installed ClockworkMod Recovery (this is what i use on my galaxy nexus). I then wiped data, cache, and davlink and installed CM9 Reloaded 1.2h. My fire then went into a boot loop where the kindle fire logo came up for 3 secs, then turned off, repeat. I then unplugged from my comp and tried again. now the logo comes up for 3 secs then goes to black screen. but i think the kindle is on bc when i plug into my comp it makes the usb connected sound. battery is fully charged. not sure what else to do. cant boot into recovery bc i cant connect to kindle fire utility...
any ideas?
-Thanks

Read all posts for the ROM before installation!
Code:
Kernel 3.0 (v1.2H) - Bugs:
- Only flash in TWRP
- Black screen for awhile on boot, wait it out
- Notification graphic glitch (my error, being fixed in v1.3 and v1.3H)
- Wifi - Works once; when you disconnect, you have to reboot to reconnect
- Sometimes weird bars appear on the screen (not too noticeable)
- Can't mount storage when not in TWRP
whoops...

That kind of attitude is what makes warranties more expensive for everybody and forces manufacturers to lock down their bootloaders so modifying devices is near impossible.
If you didn't install FIREFIREFIRE alongside CWMR, then you need to buy a factory cable (search for it) so you can get the device into fastboot mode. Then you can flash TWRP and install the ROM you want.
I'm sure you'll be going to Best Buy anyway.
You are correct sir! To bb i go!

Today I downgraded to firmware 10.4.3 so I could install the 2nd bootloader. Everything is working just fine, except for the recovery.
Every time I try to boot to the recovery, my Kindle freezes on the blue Kindle Fire boot logo with it saying "Booting..." at the bottom of the screen. I left it for 10 minutes and came back to it to find it still frozen on the blue Kindle Fire boot logo and with it still saying "Booting..." at the bottom.
I have flashed a newer version of TWRP, but with the same result...
Please help! I really want to install CM11 on my Kindle!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I was using my kindle then suddenly I didn't notice that I got the battery drained. After that it never turned on and it got stuck on the kindle fire boot screen. I tried leaving it charged for a day still nothing happened.
I never rooted my kindle fire. And I tried almost everything and still no luck. I used The Kindle Unbrick utility but it get stucks at <waiting for device> and I also tried Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.9 I tried to fast boot still no luck. and also tried to install the permanent loop but the same thing comes out <waiting for device>. I also tried installing TWRP Recovery but the same thing comes out. I don't know what update my kindle has it has been stuck for years and when I used it, it only lasted for a day then the bootloop happened. Help please anyone? Did I permanently bricked my Kindle?
So I was using the TWRP app and Flashed to boot by accident instead of recovery. So when I go to recovery mode I just get stuck on the amazon logo
when I boot normally it goes into a bootloop getting stuck on the amazon logo and rebooting every time.
my PC recognized it still but ADB cant detect it anymore.
Is there anyway to fix this or did i permanently break it?
first gen fire tablet
The unit is fully stock; I've not tried to root it or anything. It began acting up, so I did the first thing the Amazon CSRs would have recommended: A reboot. The tablet is, for some inexplicable reason, stuck at the "Fire" screen phase of the boot process... and yes, there's animation. It's now been 2 hours(!) since I rebooted it, and it's stayed stuck. With a normal phone with a removable battery, I know how to correct this... (Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, reassemble and restart) but with this, no. Any ideas how to correct?

Most 9th Gen Fire discussions are in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire
You could try forcing it into fastboot mode
Hold Power and volume down button for 5 to 30 secs
I'm not sure what the fastboot screen looks like on the 9th Gen
It may say fastboot, have some device specs, or just a black screen.
Most likely the fastboot mode options have been largely locked up.
You should be able to to boot into recovery from fastboot
Power and volume up button for 5 to 15 secs
Then select factory reset/ wipe data
If that doesn't work return to Amazon if it's still under warranty.
Or
There maybe a bootloader unlock method posted in
