Hi,
As titled, I would like to know if P1C72 ROW, has all lte bands or which lte bands he has?
A ROW rom will only work on a ROW phone, correct? I mean, if the phone is CN won´t accept or work with a ROW rom, or am I wrong?
Thank you

Many have successfully flashed p1a42 firmware (ROW) over p1c72 (CN) including myself. Others have reported that more LTE bands were then unlocked but I can't vouch for that as my LTE carrier also supports some bands already useable by the CN model, so I won't know for sure

Thank you for the information. That sounds correct for what I read on russian forum.
Hi All, I have a China purchased P1c72 and updated it and it went pear shaped, I have managed to load a ROM that operates (P1a42_S152_160126_ROW) but it appears to have messed up my sim settings, none been seen, when I do the #### region code thing, it has no option for UK/Ireland...anyone able to help, maybe help me find a ROM or easyimage.zip to get a fix
Fixed.... Restored the qcn in recovery, have the sim working.

hii, i am using Lee droid rom 7.4.2 with elemental kernel 4.xx for 2 months and all is working fine but recently i have changed my network to Zong Telecom here in Pakistan which is a subsidiary to china mobile telecom and i purchased its 4g LTE enabled sim card and yes i am in coverage area as well but when i go into settings and select 2g/3g/4g auto i do not get 4g signals and it stays to only H. it means my phone is not getting 4g signal while 3g is working fine... so i went to dialer and entered *#*#4636#*#* and in phone info i changed it to LTE only manually. and after few seconds all network dropped and i am getting zero signal..... i am afraid that this problem is due to my custom rom or custom kernel because i am getting 4g signals in my galaxy s5 .... so any idea what to do please?? any fix?????
Note: Zong telecom uses LTE FDD band 3 @ 1800 Mhz which our M8 supports... so no problem here as well.

Specific band support depends on what variant (CID). Are you saying that you know your CID variant supports LTE Band 3? Otherwise, it may not.
Check your APN. Carriers sometimes use a different APN for LTE.
Have you tried the SIM in another phone to verify LTE works on that phone?

CID or Carrier ID is the carrier or region version of the phone. It has nothing to do with the ROM, and can only be changed with s-off.
To determine your CID, do adb getvar all. Don't post your IMEI or serial number, if you post the getvar output.
You can also try a CID app, but I think these sometimes are wrong; and adb getvar all is the most accurate way.

That version should support LTE Band 3. I would try the SIM in another phone, and see if that phone gets LTE. Could be a problem with the SIM or the account.

Is there any way that I can buy the EU\Asia or Chinese variant of OnePlus 3 in US from OnePlus or flash a custom ROM or kernerl to get LTE Band 3 on the US variant?
OnePlus AMA going on over @ Reddit, there is no 32GB model coming.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/4o308u/oneplus_ama_oneplus_3dition/
as all three models are sporting the Snapdragon 820 you will most likely find it is a ROM lock to certain bands and so flashing the EU/Asia ROM will open up Band 3, Otherwise CM13.
i am interested in finding this out also?
thank you

It actually might be locked on the Modem side.
Since there were tools to unlock the Bands for OP1, there might some tools coming to do the same for OP3.
Did anybody find a modem file to flash? Or a way to do this?

why would you bump a 3 month old thread instead of the latest one with research and info about people doing it?
I found out there're 3 different models here.
North America model
Europe / Asia model
China model
Since we are close to China, I think I'm getting a China model. What's bugging me is I don't know if custom ROMs posted in OP3 Android Development sections will compatible with China model. I came from a device which have 14 different models with single-dual sim & regional mixed it's all so confusing that I ended up flashing incompatible ROMs several times. Can anyone help me confirm that please?
Just got my Chinese model today. Unlocked bootloader, flashed OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_011_all_1607052050_0e5983ace5314161 and rooted. Everything seems to work fine.
It came with Hydrogen OS (and full of Chinese crapware)

Could you flash a North American model baseband to test if the China model and US model are essentially the same? Both of the two are named A3000 after all.

Hi guys. I've just found out that there are different versions of Lenovo P2. I've found the p2a42 version on the cheap (less than 190€) but it has no B20 LTE. Is it possible to unlock this band considering the fact that there are some versions that have it active? And apart from LTE bands are there other differences between other phone versions?
Are you sure it doesn't support b20?
Mine does it, that's why I'm asking.
If it's really a version without b20,
you should only buy it, if you can live without it.
I didn't hear of an unlock method for the P2.
Best regards
There are ONLY 2 versions in terms of hardware.
P2a42 has 32GB storage and has B20. (International version )
P2c72 has 64GB storage and does not have B20. (Chinese version )
However, you may get confused because sometimes they take the p2c72 hardware and put the p2a42 software (to get English rom).
You can search p2c72 on these forums for more info.
i have c72 hw but came fashed with a42 .... is my bootloader already unlocked? how to verify if it's locked?

Hi, I´m from Portugal and my Carrier is MEO. For 4G they support band 20/3/7.
I want to buy LeTV LeEco Le Pro 3 X727 and it says he only supports 4G FDD-LTE: 2/4/5/7/12/17/29/30/38.
LeEco Le Pro 3 X720 support 4G FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20.
IF i install Lineage rom, or another Rom for X720 on x727 model, do he gonna support the same bands as 720? the 2/7/20?
Thx in advance and sorry for my poor English.

Also to answer your question, the supported bands are written to the NVRAM of the phone and aren't part of the rom. So no, if you flash a X720 rom on an X727 you won't unlock any addition bands.

Yeah, the baseband chip support all bands as it's part of the SoC. The modem driver is kind of generic. It reads a bit of read only storage on the phone called NV_RAM which contains stuff like the bands the phone supports, the IMEI, etc. So it is sometimes possible to unlock additional bands by editing the NV_RAM

So editing this in the Build.prop makes all x720 custom roms compatible with x727 (in theory)
*EDIT - Of-topic: Melbourne look likes the best city ever. Moving as soon as possible
I have the LEX 727 from Amazon but no working bands 2 or 4, any ideas to help me? changing the rom to the chinese version? something in the modem, baseband?

NVRAM isn't in the build prop, its a special bit of persistent memory in the phone. To edit it you need to put the phone into diagnostic mode and use QPST.
And yeah, Melbourne is pretty sweet. I hope to see you here soon!
