Hello!
I use bluetooth light bulb.
With my Nexus 5 i see the 2 lights.
But with my Oneplus 3 i see only one light.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thank you.
Same kind of issue for me with bluetooth speaker.
It seems that op3 bluetooth is not strong enough.
I'm forced to leave my phone less than 2 meter. My LG reach 15 meters

Strange.
Even at 1 meter, it doesn't work.
With the other it works until 10meters.
Any solution? I'm having the same issue.
The support ask me to send them some bluetooth logs.
Anyway my OP3 is now in RMA.

Hello experts,
My SW3 has a really poor bluetooth range; if I have the phone, or the headset, ad more then 75 cm of distance they do not receive the BT signal from the watch.
Is this normal?
Is there a way to increase a bit the range?
Thanks a lot
This is not normal. My watch maintain connection even if I leave my phone in other room with a concrete wall in between.

Mmm... thanks.
So what do you suggest?
It sounds like hardware issue.
Well, I just tried a full reset and - it seems - now BT is working fine.
I'll do a couple of tests and will let you know.

I think I found the guilty.
May the sweat interfer with normal BT range?
I use to put the SW3 in the back pocket of my running pants and... after few minutes I begin to have the transmission problems.
A possible solution could be to "Domopack" the SW3 before starting to run.
What about?
I love my Pixel C, I have lots of good experience and none (apart from this Wifi+BT) of the issues of others, so I'm loathed to RMA a decent unit if my problems are a function of the design rather than my unit.
My Wifi is bad, if I'm near the router then fine but the further away I get it disconnecting very easily. My Nexus 7 would have say 2 bars, my OnePlus2 say 3 bars. My Pixel C would have been zero and 1 bar and be often disconnecting. I've tried different Wifi frequencies static and auto channel and none seem to work. Wifi 5Ghz loses signal first then 2.5Ghz (as you'd expect). My Nexus 10 had the same problem.
Is this a problem with the Pixel C and I should just accept it?
If I RMA I will get a unit which is better?
My BT is even worse. I can't be more than right next to the unit literally 2 feet away or it gets choppy, while other devices can handle 15-20 feet before issues.
If there was a trick out there I'd take it!

Contact support, answer 15 dumb questions, they then accept it is a bad physical device and issue a return authorisation.
I've not done with Google before but I'm assuming I'd get a Fedex/UPS type return label for free I download print and attach to boxed up item. They then receive, accept it is a fault then send out a replacement unit. Typically (again, I not done it with Google before) takes 1-2 weeks.
As my Pixel C I use often, I'm waiting for a period of a couple of weeks I can do without it to RMA it.
I RMA'd a Bose headphones recently, they had asked just one reasonable question and as soon as I handed the package to FedEx then Bose released a replacement so I was without the unit for about a week.
I had to RMA my hammerhead in the past. In fact, the process is even easier.
Talk to Google, they agree to RMA. They send a replacement unit to you (along with a hold on a credit card). You send the defective unit back in the same box they ship to you. The cc hold is removed.

Just updated to official 8.1 last night. When connected to bluetooth, I do not have the battery indicator. Is there a setting to turn this on??
I'd love to be able to add something but since the update I can't pair with the BT in my truck. Did a factory reset after the update. If I manage to get it paired I'll let you know what I see.

depends on the device your connecting, not all devices will display battery info.
mine doesnt show in the status bar at all, if thats what you are looking for. it shows on the notification shade, the bluetooth expanded notification shade, and in settings for me.
most of the time, it doesnt show anywhere at all for my pixel buds, but others like my tracks air's for example, always show.

Interesting. I had assumed it would work no matter what device was connected through bluetooth. Everything I read, or videos watched, did not indicate this was only going to work with certain bluetooth devices.

I originally thought that as well, but have read some articles explaining it. Here is some info from one here on XDA:
From this, we can see that Google will add a new method in the BluetoothDevice class called getBatteryLevel() which will retrieve the current battery level of a connected device when called. According to the source code, this returns a value between 0 and 100 (or -1 if Bluetooth is disabled, the device is disconnected, or does not support reporting its battery level).

Really? What if the Bluetooth device your phone is connected to is a vehicle? Do you expect to see the vehicle's battery level?

Hi, just wanted to share my personal experiences with this. I used to own the LG V20 after the Note 7 recall. I had Beats by Dre powerbeats 2 and with that phone, the Bluetooth battery meter worked flawlessly. I then purchased powerbeats 3 for better battery life. Well buhbye battery meter. So my assumption there is Apple chose to "lock" the battery information for Android phones. I have also owned nexus 6, 6p, pixel xl and now pixel 2 xl..... No battery meter shown on any of those phones.

Hey man,
I just yesterday got my Pixel 2 XL sideloaded 8.1 onto it today and this is what it looks like with my cheap BT headset:
https://imgur.com/gallery/9sRVG
I checked it also on 8.0 - If I remember correctly it was the same because I remember being amazed that it shows % not just the indicator like my old device.
Cheers!! :silly:

Does the powerbeats 3 have the Apple X1 Chip in them? I bought the beats x ear buds (which are freaking awesome btw), but they have the apple x1 chip and don't display the battery level. I had another pair of bluetooth buds (i ended up returning to amazon) but they displayed the battery level. It is an apple thing im guessing. Just gotta remember what time i started using the beats x, they get around 8hrs of use.
i think the buds are really good.... but I am now on my third pair, as the first two both malfunctioned, and i'm starting to wonder if its the buds or the phone. In . both cases, when new, I had equal stereo, but within a few days, I found the left side to be much quieter than the right side. One day they were fine. the next day they weren't, and they never returned to working properly. Identical experience on the first two sets. In both cases I had tried resetting them, removing and re-pairing them, messing around with loads of different galaxy buds and bluetooth parameters etc. Of course, I tried reversing them in the opposite ears, but it was the bud, not my ear! So now im on my third pair, and hoping they dont go wrong. Anyone else had these issues? Perhaps its the device itself?
enable disable absolute volume.
set volume to max on ur earbuds and never to change again. change the touch controls to some other function or lock it. control volume only via phone.

They weren't.
Well I can say that the other end of a call not being able to hear you, and the crackling of presumably crappy bluetooth connection when phone in pocket does NOT improve with a different phone. I had to warranty my s10+ for the sprint signal issues and no change on either front. Getting ready to try and see if they'll swap out my buds now, but who knows with samsung nowadays

I had major issues with my buds after an update so much that I couldn't put my phone in my pocket without 2 or 3 second dropouts. I had to reset the buds a couple of times and now they are perfect again. Have you tried this?
Does the ambient sound work for you? For me and other users who reported the issue in Samsung forum it does not, meaning that it does not make any difference...
There was an update in the last few days. I've had much better luck since then.
Hey guys I have an issue with my galaxy Buds.
They are not loud enough and dont produce good sound quality for calls as well as for music, they also dont get along with bluetooth connectivity. Most of the time gets disconnected and produce uneven sound while they are connected to the device, people on the call do not hear my voice properly and clearly.
Have tried reset option but it does not work for me, face the same problems time and again.
Any solutions? Definitely not going for a replacement as the procedure will be lengthy as I got them in the pre order sale.

Have you tried adjusting the volume of your buds? Go into the wear app, select your buds (my app defaults to my Gear S3), and go into touch pad. Change it to volumn up. By default they are set to like 1/2 the volumn they are capable of.

don't update them, I seem to think the update bricked my pair so now I just don't mess with updates..

My buds were shipped to me the day the phone launched. From the beginning they seemed low budget in every respect except sound quality. Sound wise they are solid mid tier Bluetooth buds. Like many I had spotty connectivity while pocketing the phone. I had the right bud with less battery life/capacity then the left. And now my bud are being sent in to Samsung since the case no longer tops the earbud off without being plugged in. Fully charged case, insert dead buds, 3 hours latter buds still 0%. Light inside case never turns on.
My right one stopped connecting :/
hey,
does anyone else have a battery drain on the f3 update? my right bud keeps draining my case and itself.
The case was fully charged I left it and after 24h the case was dead and the right bud is at 30%, while the left bud is at 100%.
I tried resetting, cleaning case and even adding papers on top of right bud(bad connection) but nothing helped.
I know my bud is charging for sure because the light recognizes it but it seems unable to fully go out when in case(The bud).
Anyone had the same issue? anything that can help? I really like the buds but this issue that came with the last update(I THINK) is really a downer
