As title says: did anyone save the stock recovery or happen to find it online?
What do you need it for? If you want to go back to stock, the downloadable OxygenOS 3.1.3 is flashable via TWRP, and you have stock recovery afterwards.
I have tried that several times, but twrp stays as the recovery.

Ok so I am not the greatest when it comes to flashing ROMs but so far I have managed to get by.
I went from MMuzzyROM 4.2.2 to [ROM] [4.3] [JSS15J]. I wiped my data/dalvick/cache, flashed the new ROM and Gaaps and installed SuperuserSU. As of right now SuperuserSU will not install and I get an installation error. And when using Rom Manager I can not reboot into recovery. And there is a bit more, when I try and boot into recovery from the holding the volume and power button down, after choosing recovery the android with the error shows up. From what I understand is that the 4.3 rom I flashed removed the stock recovery, but I am just confused how to get back recovery.
My main question is did I loose root and how can I get the recovery option back.
Thanks, Noel

4.3 is buggy with root right now. You can use rom manager to reflash cwmrecovery or you can use goomanager to install twrp

USE TWRP!
When trying to flash CWR I get an error message. I am pretty sure I am unrooted without an option for recovery and stuck on 4.3?

Ok I guess I am just too confused. Downloading TWRP gives me an image file which I don't understand how to install, because I thought I need recovery to do it? When in fastboot I can select recovery but I get the error android.

what error message?
what's the fastboot command you're using to flash recovery.
about loosing your recovery after flashing/boot/reboot OS for the first time, it's probably the same that 4.2 had
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/install-recovery.sh

The error message is when using the clockwork mod app to install the recovery, once downloaded it states an error has occurred. Then when trying TWRP I am following these steps I get "fastboot is not a recognizable command..." I am pretty lost as you can tell and am thankful for the help.

Mainly because I thought if I had rooted my device and done all this once, I should remember how to do it again. But through ignorance I thought I could and be able to remember the steps and what not. I'll read through it and figure it out, it was just a moment of panic of losing the option of recovery that I have had for a long time and not being able to use it means (or I think it means) I am just stuck of 4.3 for a bit and hopefully the ROM isn't too bad.
I'm confused from reading posts and such. Is there a recovery for KitKat yet?

It comes with its own issues but gets you recovery. Afterwards, freegee works on the E-980 to flash a newer and more stable recovery.

"Secure booting error so boot success" is this something to be worried about?
And now if I flash some AOSP based ROM, will it work?

No, it's supposed to say that.
Not trying to highjack this thread, but I have 2 relevant questions.
1)
On my E980, I tried using Freegee to install recovery like back on Jelly bean. Every time I do this now, Freegee says an exception was thrown and that E98020g is not supported.
When I use this apk to install the kitkat recovery, everything works fine. Weird thing though is that afterwards, Freegee stops spitting these errors at me.
Any idea what's up with this? Should I stick with the Kitkat recovery, or now use Freegee to install its CWM/TWRP recovery?
2)
(continuing from question 1)
A few hours ago (and all day yesterday too), I did try flashing CWM through Freegee and it worked. I then used that recovery to flash the PhilZ Touch recovery, which I like more. With both the Freegee CWM and the PhilZ recovery, I can do pretty much everything just fine.
But... the problem is that at random times, the PhilZ recovery will cause me to get stuck in a Recovery bootloop. Basically, every bootup forces me into recovery whether I'm holding the proper buttons during bootup or not. (NOTE: I have yet to stick with the Freegee recovery versions long enough to see if they do this too, but some other people are reporting CWM bootloops).
So question 2 is this:
Is this being caused by PhilZ not being fully Kitkat compatible?
Will this Kitkat CWM Recovery not do this? Every time it happens, I must reflash my phone using the tot method and it's getting tiring... been trying to get things working for a day now.
Please help me, regarding Android System Recovery
I actually thought I was booted into CWM Recovery, but I ended up booting into Android System Recovery. And I happen to wipe partition and factory reset already.
Now there is no rom to boot, and I am unable to flash custom rom due to the signature verification errors.
Is there anyway for me to recover from this?
Would appreciate your help.
Have you tried using Odin via download mode?

Yes that's what I did, but I seem to be not able to get to CWM Recovery and it always goes to Android System Recovery.
Anyway I recovered my system by flashing a stock rom so that I can restart.
How can I install CWM Recovery properly and make the device boot to CWM?

This is normal behaviour. After you restore using Odin, recovery would always be Android System Recovery. You need to flash a CWM recovery via temporary CWM first, to get CWM recovery.
Lookup for temporary CWM here in forum. And you'll find the thread that I mean.

I am not able to download the zip file, as it needs to download from an installer and run the installer from there. I ran through the whole step but did not end up with the update.zip.
Are there other ways for me to get the zip file, preferably through a direct download or torrent website?

Thanks.... I do not need the file already.
The new CM11 rom by Chrono has been installed and running already. However, I am not able to connect via Wifi to my router.
What could be the issue?
So far I have tried:
ace2nutzer: cm-11-20150714-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip
ChronoMonochrome: cm-11-20150730-UNOFFICIAL-codina-universal.zip
Both the wifi are not working. I was not able to connect to my D-Link 868L router.
***SOLVED***
Hello, I had cm14 installed and I was trying to update it. after the update, the device always boots to recovery(TWRP).
I tried the full wipe and flash again the rom, again boot to recovery. what is the solution for it?

what version of twrp are you running? do you have a nandroid backup that you could restore? sometimes the partitions can get messed up during an update. if nothing helps, just follow this unbrick guide which will revert your phone completely back to stock, with all the storage partitions intact.
3.0.2-1

yeah, everyone's got that one, but there are many versions of it usually a number, like 3.0.2-1 (22) for example, and each one build for specific cases. except you got it from the official twrp web, then there shouldn't really be problems with cm14.1
what about nandroid? can you restore one?
do you have any idea how to boot it?

I had the same situation. You get out of this by fastboot flashing cm recovery, booting to it, then flash twrp back in fastboot. I think the ota doesnt fully work with twrp.
Flash the modified twrp from the second post in this forum

Hi guys, I searched around the forum before posting this so I apologize but I recently installed a new rom and possibly a wrong kernel with it. Afterwards, if I try to turn it on, it just shows the logo and then turns right off. I can't even go into recovery since it does the same. The only thing I can do is boot it into fastboot but I'm not sure where to go from here. I tried using a guide with no success.
Any words of wisdom?
reflash your recovery via fastboot, then boot into recovery and do a clean install
fastboot flash [recovery].img
I tried reflashing recovery but all it does is show the old rom logo that was used and then shuts down.
Hi,
Read carefully and try this guide:

which rom did you flash? You need the correct twrp file for your bootloader.
That's the first place I tried. Anytime I hook-up my phone to the PC it shows up as OnePlus Android bootloader interface under Android phone and I can't seem to update the drivers..
