I moved my apps to my SD card last night but now none of them will launch after a reboot. I can see all the files on the SD card fine, my music plays and everything, but the apps i moved all show default android icons and will not launch.
HELP!

Huh.... Is your memory card formatted correctly? I've heard if a memory card is format into fat32 then they linux based file system wont recognize the apps. Maybe thats your problem? Hope that helps.
Is there anyway to make it save things like pictures and other app constant into my 32gb sd card instead of the 16gb internal sd? No matter on stock 4.0.4, pacman or slim rom, apps and pictures are still default save to internal sd. By far I tried to select the camera app to save pictures to external storage, but it keep saying I need to connect one which I already did. What can I try also to get those app content to save to sd card instead of internal sd? Thanks as always.

OK, mine is working fine, try this...
From preferences, select Backup Folder Location, hit the back arrow twice until you get a listing of folders; "emulated", "sdcard0" and "sdcard1" (this is your external SD), select "sdcard1" then create new folder, create the new TitaniumBackup folder and you should be good.

Thanks again Ripper but I did that already, it did change my backups to sd card and shows that in titanium under backup directory however it does not show my sd card at the bottom of titanium. It should be system rom then internal& media and then ext sd card listed. ext sd card is not listed

The only time I saw this was when I could not write to the external SDCard, once I fixed that mine is showing correctly. If you can write to your external SD, you may have another issue.

TB is the same for my G Pad with a Samsung 64GB card. Sure you can specify the external card as a backup location, but presumably TB can't automatically identify it as the external card. I imagine TB needs an update for the G Pad memory architecture (path naming).

I'm running the stock LG ROM. The card is formatted as exFAT, as supplied from Amazon.

I do not move apps to the SD card. I have no need or reason to. My TB overview screen does not show the external card. Those things do not prevent me writing to the card - it is writeable. Maybe I do not understand the problem. For me there is no problem.
EDIT - OK, now I think I understand - TB does not see the external card so it cannot report on its status and cannot move apps to it. In all other respects the card works as one would expect. As I said in my first post, it seems like TB needs updating in order to discover the card as mounted by the G Pad. Either that or use some sort of folder mount app to mount the external card where TB can find it.

CORRECT.... thanks for answering my questions
I noticed this also yesterday when I was on Stock ROM with TiBU. I thought my device was bad but on CM11 TiBU works as normal with the external SD. LG ROM is wonky.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it was LG's ROM
I've been looking more deeply into this, but I don't have the skills to come up with a solution. However, I have a feeling the problem stems from Android itself and while some manufacturers may have implemented their own workarounds it seems that LG has not. Here is an article which outlines the basis of the problem (if I am right).

No help to offer other than to share my experience - I stuck my SD card in the G Pad to restore my app data and have no problems with it. TB restored them from the SD card. I've also been using TB repeatedly to back up and restore Injustice Gods Among Us on my SD card (30 times a day) with no problems.

The problem has nothing to do with backups and restores. It is the inability to move apps to the external SD card. TB gives no clues to the problem - no helpful messages - but other app2sd type apps complain about the way storage is arranged, saying that external storage is emulated. Clearly that is nonsense, because the external SD card it's a very real physical storage device, but I think that multi user support has screwed thing up, as per the article I linked to earlier.
FWIW I have managed to get TB to show the external card on the overview screen by creating a folder in /mnt and using foldermount to point the folder to the external card, but it does not survive a reboot and does not overcome the problem with moving apps to external storage. Maybe foldermount could be used to move large data folders to the external card for apps such as offline navigation or games, which should free up some space from the internal storage. As I have no need to do that (yet) I have not tried.
Hi folks
On Google play edition rom, updated to marshmallow via ota update. Initially converted my sd card to use as internal storage but phone very sluggish.. Converted back to use sd card for portable storage and phone zipping along. When I open the camera app though I get an error insert sd card before using camera..
I cleared the camera app data and cache and rebooted but no joy. Any suggestions?
Cheers
Mick
Try formatting the card (exFAT). Something may have just been corrupted converting it back/forth for use as internal storage.
My friend took a full sd card from a camera with photos and put it into her phone to view them...
She said, that the phone started formating the sd card automatically and copied all internal data over to it.
I doubt, that there was no promt showing the formatting dialog. However, I am not so sure about this "data copying".
Is it possible, that data like photos & co are copied over to the sd card automatically? And if so, is there a way to copy them back?

She made one mistake: she selected to use the SD as adopted storage. She should have chosen the removable option.

I googled adopted storage and found this:
https://www.androidcentral.com/adoptable-storage
Is it true that there is no way to copy the data back? Its not her sd card after all.
Its said, that a factory reset will solve the problem. What is lost when doing that? How do I do it without loosing data?

I know how to recover the photos from the sd card - no problem with that. But I dont want to reset the phone to get it back working without the card.
And if I need to, I would like to not loose any data when reseting
