A month ago, this site and a few others talked about an event where info would be released to the US about the Zenfone 2 (and others). I can't find out anything about it happening today. Has anyone heard anything? Was the event cancelled?
What's going on? Why is ASUS dropping the ball so hard?

I couldn't even tell you.
It'd be nice if Asus could clarify its situation with a US launch.
Asus North America's Facebook page stated that an announcement regarding a US launch is forthcoming. This was in response to a user's comment.

While Amazon had a page up for the Zenfone2, I ordered the 64GB version, and about the shipment:

I don't think it's the FCC It has something to With Google aproving the product image I thin they canceled it most likely because of the lg g4 event

I really doubt if it was radiation... the SAR rating is like silly low.

The event was pushed back to May 18th to "further tweak the firmware of the ZenFone 2."

I was under the impression it isn't worth it anymore? Pick up a new one from BestBuy for $23 to $35 and part the new one out.
If you even buy a used one (no bestbuy around you, use swappa/ebay, and part it out for what you need

Seriously oneplus releases another phone in April then they are following the apple release cycle so it will be like very hard to digest for my kind people to switch over every six month once. So I drop out from oneplus if they release because already suffered one time I can't suffer again. But anyway price will not drop to bottom but I thing gradually.
I recommend this skin to anyone with a oneplus 3/3t , the back is not slippery anymore and I really enjoy the phone without a case

If you order just the back part you get 2 back parts 1st one covers just the back pannel to the band antennas and the second part as you see from the pictures covers the hole metal back part and the edges , it fits perfectly

I know, I should know better but I didn't see a name of brand or anything otherwise I would have just Google it. Without name brand if just be search for "skins" and who knows what I'd get

Check with your local India post office if it's beyond 20 days. Usually India post guys delivery them.
It has been a month since i ordered the damn thing :/
And shiped it aftr 4-5 days... So making it approximately 25 days..
Until 15th i cannot reach them... I will see if i get the product on 16th or not. If i dont get it i will contact loacl indian post office..

I updated to A1 and things seem to be working fine. But I would want to update to A5 since the current mobile network quality is terrible compared to my Oneplus 5T, same SIMs (Optus and Telstra). Interesting that we didn't have Aus specific update before. Do you think that the process of updating A1 to A5 would be the same as from 037 to A1? I am rooted and don't want to lose data.
Ah, this is interesting, I did a factory reset and updated using the A1 build yesterday, not knowing that there was going to be an A5 Australian version!
Interestingly, since updating to the A1 version, I've definitely experienced my Telstra 5G signal being noticeably worse than before updating
Looking forward to A5 now!

I just sideloaded the A5 build over A1 using the factory image (modified flash-all.bat to not wipe data and disable verity and verification) and rooted again the usual way. Went without issue.

Great, new to ADB and all things pixel coming from Note. So I have root (only after bricking and fixing lol) but wondering if you can point in the direction where I might get some detailed instructions to do what you did, I think I get it but not 100% sure and with my track record it would end in tears. TIA.
