Hi,
I just got my G3 today and entered 3845#*XXX# to switch off thermal throttling. I happened to see a test mode and clicked it. My phone reboots into a MiniOS with lots of options. First option is the only one which I can interact with using the touch screen and it is an automatic test of the touch screen. Volume keys do not work.
On pulling the battery out and powering on, it boots to the test mode.
Tried recovery (Vol- and power key) confirmed the prompts, the phone switches off after showing the little android loading logo, flashes the LG logo and boots into this test mode(MiniOS) again.
I thought the test mode will be like something that HTC and Samsung have, didn't expect it to be like that. Kindly help! I've been searching the internet but haven't found a solution to this. I spotted some other threads for another LG device that happened to automatically go into this mode but those tools and methods won't work here.
Thank you.
Edit:
I found a thread on xda for the G2 with the same thing that's happened to my phone. Unfortunately a solution wasn't posted there. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535768
It's more accurately called the All Auto Test
Edit2:
In searching All Auto Test on Google i happened to come through a link which might have a simple fix (if I'm understanding the members English right)
It says to press the power key on the LG logo and a prompt will ask if you'd like to switch it back to normal mode. I'm gonna try this once I reach home. Link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2613404

After 4 days with my LG G2 stuck in FTM All Auto Test FTM Mode, i dound the way to get out this f*** **** status !
Presss on normal boot menu and hold power button, then a popup will show up and ask you to confirm to switch from Factory Test Mode to Normal mode, just select ok, and

I switched on with power key, left it when the LG logo came and hit power key again, but that doesn't work. It goes to miniOS again.
Unlike the G2 mentioned above, I don't have a notif bar on top and I don't see a wallpaper and navigation bar.
Okay, I figured it out. Thanks to member goldenfish
So what he means is when in ATT mode, only the first option is selectable by touch, to select the other options you hold power key and then tap the options. So there was an option which makes the device turn "MiniOS> Normal Boot". I did just that and my g3 booted *phew
It's all stock now tho, maybe because of the factory reset I tried earlier, but at least it's out of the damn thing!

Hi.
I am stuck in minios on my lg g3 d855 and can't get out using the instructions you supply.
could you please elaborate on what to do and what you mean by 'touch' while holding power.
I have tried everything and can't seem to bring anything up to touch, to be able to normal boot out of minios :crying:
thank you.

If your phone keeps booting to the miniOS, you;d see a bunch of options. Now when trying to open/access an option only the first one will respond to your touch. Others will just show a crosshair where you tapped on the screen. To open/access/activate other options you need to hold the power key first and then tap the screen. This will allow you to access a option called boot(which switches your phone from miniOS to normal boot)
I was stuck in this stupid mode messing around too. Thanks for the tip on how to get out!
Please help me

Another idiot stuck in test mode
I was in Europe and my LG G3 kept shutting off, so i got a new LG G3 855 while traveling.
Worked fine in Europe.
When i got home, i noticed i didn't have 4G showing, so, like a fool went and tried to become a techie......:crying:
So where i am ....
when i boot the phone, i see the LG logo, then it goes into a minios logo with 5 blue arrows.
After that wherever i touch on the screen is just a red circle with a + sign.
I have seen folks talking about getting into a minios menu but all i see is the red +
any magic out there?

You should be able to simply hit the Power button, but if you're on a frozen screen, press and hold the Power button, then select "Normal Boot".

thanks alot brother ,,,,,1000000% tested and done...:good:
Try holding the power button down and while holding it down choose the option you want in the menu. Should take care of your problem
select normal boot with touch then hold power botton ...voila exit
My phone is stuck at homescreen (pattern lock) and it only responds to the double tap knock screen on. I tried to draw pattern, tap on emergency call, camera on lock screen and nothing gets registered on touch, except for knock screen on taps when screen gets timeout. The double tap is recognized easily anywhere on the screen. I pulled out battery several times and restarted but same issue. I have also refreshed my stock firmware via LGUP Tool but didn't help.
Basically, my touch is only responding to the knock on tap. Nothing else. I turned camera on via volume down button but touch doesn't work there too. What could be the issue? If the double tap is being registered anywhere on the screen easily why is not registering my touch after screen on!?. Please help!

Since no ones answering.
Not a solution or fix.
But have u dropped it. Or anything like that. Had screen replaced.
Seen it happen on the note 5s. Sometimes the flex cable for the lcd can become partially dislodged. Enough for touch not to work. One users only was responding to only 2 touches u till flex was pressed back in. Try usin lg flashtool. Method. Set to board dl and itll take u to the minios where it does a touch screen calibration
Again prob not case. But ive seen it happen
Possibly digitizer failure. But knockon working is weird

Can you please explain the "Set to board dl and itll take u to the minios where it does a touch screen calibration " in a noob friendly way, there are a lot of lg flash tools I see. Also, no, I haven't dropped the phone or any water damage. It just stopped responding suddenly. Knock is responding smoothly anywhere on the screen. I have flashed the rom to stock, same issue.

I use the same lg flashtool as lg g2 and 3. Older version. On main menu of flashtool u have a few options upgrade. And board dl. If u leave it. It takes u to the old factory reset status 2. And stays there if u set to board dl its gives fac status 3 and boots what is called mini os. First thing u have to do is touch the screen for a calibration test. Its required before mini os finishes booting. Then reboot as normal. Its kinda hard to explain. Its how i reflash stock firmware back from the g2.
Its always worked so ive never upgraded method across 3 phones.
U might look in restoring stock lg g2 flashtool. And replace with g4 .tot and .dll
Also have to set in device manager set to port 41. When in dl mode
