Oneplus 3 N. America model utilizes CDMA... - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Anyone else notice the GSM Arena band listings for the OnePlus 3 states CDMA for the North America model? Anyone planning on using this phone for a carrier on a CDMA network, what are your thoughts?

EDGE Yes

There's no CDMA.

Is there a source? Personally I use AT&T, and I see if it is true what is showing, then it is 3g CDMA data only, but you say just no. Trying to help others who may be interested to know this what they may be getting...

According to the OnePlus website it does include CDMA, but it won't work on LTE on Sprint or Verizon. It does not have any of Sprint's LTE bands and does not have Verizon's main LTE band, and neither carrier would activate it because of that.

My guess is it is possibly for abroad CDMA then.

Can anyone make sense of this conversation I had with u.s. cellular?

Hello. Does the LG K8 prepaid phone come unlocked? domestically or internationally or both or none? Thanks.
The that device is unlocked but it isn't a world phone and it can only be used in the United States. ^Andria
Hi thanks for that reply. But in saying that if it is unlocked and it is used overseas on a 2g or 3g or 4g band that the phone supports it should work?
It's unlocked for use with another U.S. service provider but it can't be used abroad because it doesn't have world phone capability. ^Andria
What I can't figure out is does she mean its domestically unlocked but internationally locked? ( that wouldn't make sense would it?)
Or is she clueless or trying to bs me in how I said about the frequencies?
Lol.
She means it doesnt have the bands that support overseas countries.

Using sprint galaxy s6 in different country with different network

Hi everyone
I am looking forward to buy a sprint version galaxy s6 which has been unlocked, imported and being sold by someone else. Now the question i want to ask is whether this will work with 4g network in my country (jio 4g)with data and Volte support. The seller tried the sim card in it and it shows full network bars but according to him data and call is not working. Is it something limited to sprint version phones? Should i buy it?

all depends on what carrier you wish to use the phone on and what network the carrier operates on. Do a Google search for the network technology your carrier uses and if it is on the list below you should be fine as long as the phone is definitely SIM network Unlocked and the IMEI is not Blacklisted.

Ignore the LG site.
It only lists bands which are supported DIRECTLY in that region, not the bands the phone supports via hardware.
Where are you buying the phone from? The seller should list the bands on the phone, but all the bands are printed on the box itself.
The phones also say "GSM only no CDMA" but WCDMA bands even work. I don't know if CDMA or WCDMA are the same thing or not.
Keep in mind ONLY the european version (not the EAW) can be rooted right now.
Here are the bands the EAW version supports:
. GSM: 850.900/1800/1900. WCDMA: 850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100. TD-SDMA: 1900/2000. LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B13/B17/B20/B28/B38/B39/B40/B41
Working perfect for me here in Europe.

Does this mean it will or will not work in USA TMobile? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4988
I see that table lists:
1900 MHz (Band 2) 4G LTE
1700/2100 MHz (Band 4 and 66) 4G LTE
850 MHz (Band 5) 4G LTE
700 MHz (Band 12) 4G LTE
600 MHz (Band 71) 4G LTE
How do I match this up with those bands you've listed? It looks like Bands 66 and 71 are not supported by phone. Does that mean it will not work?
thanks

I answered this question earlier in your other post. Remember I own this phone on tmobile.
No one uses band 66 or 71 from what i've seen anywhere.
Tmobile uses band 4, 2 in some areas, or 12. At least from what I've seen.
You're overanalyzing things now.
I've tested the bands in the service menu.
Why don't you call t-mobile and ask them if they use a strange band like 66 in your area? I've never heard of that before.

Does the LMG710EAW really support both bands 7 and 20? My research turned up that it supported band 7 (2600mhz) but not band 20 (800 mhz) or is this just due to them only listings bands from that region?
I ordered one without maybe doing my due diligence and Vodafone UK for 4G is bands 7 and 20
I have both LMG710EAW and LMG710ULM in hands, LMG710EAW doesn't seem to support B20, as in the parking area I get 4G on ULM but not with EAW.
But it's strange as today I had a look on the original packing of ULM, it's written with B20 support???
Also from LG site, FDD 4G Networks, without B20: 2100(B1) / 1800(B3) / 850(B5) / 2600(B7) / 900(B8) / 700(B28) MHz
