I have a Korean version of Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T210L and lots of korean language bothers me very much....
May I flash it with firmwares for SM-T210 but avoiding bricking it?
Or maybe there are working CWM or TWRP for this device at least?
I have the same Korean SM-T210L version and tried the firmware available for SM-T210. It didn't work, it hangs upon booting, showing the Samsung brand. I'm still looking for a solution.

I second that. We could really use a working 4.2 build!
#3 and #4: Since my SM-T210L is no longer working (after installing the SM-T210 firmware), I guess it would be of little use if I upload a system dump from my device. Please advice, I am lacking of experience.

hmmm. another dirty trick by samsung. They fail to provide stock firmware to lots of devices. If the other guy responds I could help get the tab up and running. If it's partitions as I imagine stock would just be system and boot . My Galaxy Exhibit t599 was the same way without factory images

Doesn't KIES provide an "emergency" restore? If not all the more reason for you to try and get a system dump . Maybe you know someone who has a working tab? (Korean tab models aren't very common here in Berlin... )

No, unfortunately KIES is not capable of updating the firmware. It seems the SM-T210L model is not supported, too bad. Thank you anyway for the suggestion!

New Tab update
Hi all,
My kid was given a korean SM-T210L version Galaxy Tab 3, the android version installed on the tab is 4.1.2; unfortunately it does not allow me to upgrade any further. is there a root version that will allow me to update the operating software.
I have never rooted a phone or a tab before therefore will really appreciate any assistance.
Thanks,
Zach

To restore original version 4.1.2, I used below link.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zwvavvfWEMvzSMMc970N_uIsgrdn1bag
I tried twice with Odin 3.09, my tab was restore. For first fail, I don't know why to fail. But in second try I was working.
I wish that it will be helpful for you.
Also I am looking for upgrade version 4.2.
Solved - Rooted SM-T210L
(sorry to new to the forum to post actual links - reply if you need them)
I was able to root my SM-T210L using the same method that everyone else is posting, Odin (version 3.12.3 in my case) and using this compressed file T210.TWRP.2.8.0.0.tar.md5 You also have to copy SuperSU to your tablet (either on a SD Card or through a USB cable onto the device memory directly) search for SuperSU
Here are the instructions (most complete in my view) that seemed to be able to work for me. Go to droidviews site and search on the model to find the instructions.
Even though the image file does not have the model SM-T210L specifically, I did not have any problems with it and was able to root it successfully. I then was able to delete all of the bloatware that came with the tablet, especially all of the Korean based applications that I can't use.
Is there anyone who still have the SM-T210L firmware? Please give links for download.

Hello!
I want to root this head unit and I've seen this link but I got lost, so please help me.
Here is the head unit information
Manufacture: Eonon
Model: GA2114
http://eonon.com/Car-DVD-Players/Android-Car-DVD/GA2114.html
===================
and this the system unit information
MCU Version: MTCB-KLD1-V2.55
Android Version: 4.4.4_28052015
Kernel Version: 3.0.36+ [email protected] #262
Build Number: rk3188-eng4.4.4 28052015

Im asking myself the same...
The only way to root a 4.4 ROM right now is to flash a new ROM that's already rooted. Try Malaysk's ROM and you won't be dissapointed.
OK is this one you mean
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60875324&postcount=12890
how can I install it ?
thanks
That one's too old by now and not recommended. I mean this one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60591423&postcount=12068
Flashing it is basically just copying the .img file to the root of the GPS card and entering into recovery. Follow the instructions on the first post of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2660662
Thanks a lot, that's really helpful
my last question is Can I make full system backup ( ROM + Kernel ) without root ?
because if things goes wrong I can use the backup and everything solved.
I've heard about these two applications :
Java Development Kit
Android Studio (which includes the Android SDK)
you can use them to do backup , but I'm not sure is it full backup or just apps backup.
thanks
No, there's no known way to make a backup of yor original ROM. If you run into any problems you can always reflash Malaysk's ROM or talk to your vendor to get a copy of the original ROM.

No, I have the Pumpkin KD-C0250 which looks the same and it does the same thing. It really doesn't shutdown it to goes into a sleep mode.

A link for what, the code for root ? Its in the wiki.
I have an Eonon G2110F I think the factory MCU is KLD2 2.77 but not 100% sure.
I wanted to root it but on my first attempt it didn't work so I then changed the MCU as well as trying different updates from the repo.
I then discovered the radio has stopped working the app opens as normal but can't find any radio stations I have tryed different factory radio settings and custom roms nearly all the MCU KLD2 versions and still not working for me.
The link to my head unit
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

This solved my radio proplem after all that it was something simple and I never selected the radio setting suggested by pcmender2005.
I selected the the other TDA which looks similar.
After I selected the TDA7786 and reboot the radio was working.
It's all working now

Radio not working?
I also had the same problem and contacted Eonon about it and their response was to go into factory settings and choose TDA 7706,7786 or TEF 6686 for radio on the first tab. I used TEF 6686 and it worked for me. My radio had quit working after firmware update and this resolved my issue
my radio was dead after fW update
was emailed about hidden menu and radio type, tried a few and radio started working
tapped upper left of screen inside factory settings radio
please reset the radio region , after you set it ,please restart the unit it can be valid
and please go to setting and set radio as TDA7706、TDA7786、TEF6686 respectively to try
(please click apply then it can work )
Here is the only version of ZD9 MCU (correction this is ZD MCU v2.87 will update ZD9 v2.72 later on) that worked in my eonon "F" line that actually will not reset radio stations on each boot. It took me few weeks to get that off of their tech.
As this is my first pist i cant post links so maybe mod can change that, but to download remove spaces from link below.
MTCB-ZD-v2.87
htt p s : // drive. google. c o m /a/sbo2.net/file/d/0Bzvw0uuTAgk-VEhDMEFVdVJLaDA/view

Sorry ive posted ZD MCU not ZD9 i will try to get it later on today tomorrow.
This is the original MCU ive had on my GA5165F this is updated versions of eonon running 4.4.4 android with quad core and 16gb internal as to older version runing on dual core and 8gb internal mem.
The MCU ive posted ive just updated 30min ago to test if radio station memory will remain after reboot. And that version of MCU i believe is 2.87 cant remember for sure. Will post update tomorrow morning.

your best hope, maybe someone with this device will share a backup.
After Rooting a device, you need to be careful, deleting stock apps is permanent.
Next time make a backup/copy before deleting something, or just change file extension from .apk to .bak

MTCC is a slightly evolved MTCB. To my knowledge there are no MTCC Android 4.4 ROMs.
It is always a good idea to read the wiki before posting.

Is that a GA6201F in an E39?
I have just bought one and for an expensive bit of kit it is slow. I would like to root it and do the tweaks to get tomtom go working as that was the main reason I bought it.

My Q is, if i root it? it wipes the device but still runs the same software etc? I am new to this so please be patient!

No I haven't only because I read in another thread that kingoroot doesn't work. Although it wouldn't hurt to try it.
I did it just a few hours ago and it worked like a treat. Root if you have a stock ROM. If you install a ROM from MAS then no need to root.

I came across this thread....... https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../rom-malaysk-roms-lollipop-5-1-1-mtcb-t339420
Do you know if this will require root access? It is a Malaysk ROM.
Malaysk ROM is pre rooted so no need to worry about rooting the device after flashing it. for some reason, the link directs me to a music over bluetooth thread which doesn't tally with the topic. Is it just that you want a rom to speed up the performance? Can you post the software info of the device etc so I know exactly what unit, MCU and ROM it is please,
On my GA6201F I downgraded to Kitkat 4.4.4 from Malaysk and the speed improve a lot!
I'm running Malaysk ROM 5.1.1 ROM and it's is very fast too. Can't complain. Just can't get Tomtom go working at all on it. Tried all the tricks to change serial number but just don't work. Gutted and going mad trying to figure it out
You cant root MTCB/C headunits with an app anymore, you need a custom ROM or be able to inject root into the standard ROM, its been that way since September.

Ok so I took your advice and flashed the Malaysk 4.4 Kitkat ROM. I followed the instructions and everything went fine until I installed the Xposed Framework. It gave the warning that it may cause a bootloop. Since none of the threads I read experienced the bootloop problem, I proceeded with the install. It attempted to reboot and got stuck in a bootloop. Well. I attempted to reflash the Malaysk again with no success. Now I am unable to flash anything do to the following error message.
E:failed to mount /cache /dev/block/rknand_cache (Block device required).
Other errors happened as well I have attached the photos.
